Tang Yizhou was bothered by the commotion happening as he walked by, since it made his head ring with pain when he heard the murmurs of people overlapping with each other and creating a horrendous symphony.

His eyes landed over to the center of the rowdiness and found two women and one man. Out of the three, he recognized two of them.

Xu Jiaqi and Song Ziyi.

Tang Yizhou didn't know his current favorite streamer's real name, but his eyes had scanned over her face so much that he could point out her visual from a puddle of a thousand people's pictures in an instant now.

Sensing that the atmosphere was not right, and that his 'Queen' was being cornered, he didn't think any further and approached the group right away, pushing through the curious crowd that gathered around the fight.

"..This is getting really annoying. Listen, I don't care if you are the bitch's girlfriend, or if you're her doting father or whatever.." Xu Jiaqi raised her head, rolling her eyes as she spoke. "But she wronged me, and my parents has always raised me to not let people step over me. It's my fault that I have been blind, but now that I've picked myself back up.."

Xu Jiaqi raised her middle finger and pointed it to the couple. "Sincerely, fuck you two, I wish that you have the worst life possible."

"Fucking hell-" Song Ziyi grabbed the collars of Xu Jiaqi's dress and tugged it harshly, causing the other to jerk forward. In the motion, Xu Jiaqi did not even flinch and faced the other head on, not backing away in the slightest.

"What? What will you do? We are under the public's eye. I'm a nobody, so they won't recognize me, but who are you? The Song family's heir. The status you've been holding on to for so long, will you let it crumble down because of a woman?" Xu Jiaqi chuckled darkly. "How foolish are you?"

Song ZIyi tightened his grip, turning his head aside. Indeed, a ring of people had formed around them, and he even recognized some faces. If this news got out, it would not only be his embarrassment to take, but also a shame to the Song family's name.

"Song Ziyi, what the hell do you think you are doing?" A loud voice roared, pouncing at the chaos and separating Song Ziyi's grubby hands from Xu Jiaqi.

Xu Jiaqi's eyes widened, not expecting this variable to come out of nowhere. She didn't recognize the man, but he was visibly enraged towards Song Ziyi. His hand even awkwardly lingered around her figure, as if trying to hold her but refraining from doing so at the same time.

"...Tang Yizhou!" Song Ziyi only needed one close look to recognize who this man was. Since he was in the same generation as the man, and considering how much buzz the other made after achieving that high of a success at his young age, Tang Yizhou was more or less a celebrity to the high society at this point.

Known to entrepreneurs as a prodigy at his field, he was a perfect man left to be desired for with all of his amazing qualities. Someone who climbed up the stairs of success using nothing but strength and willpower, bulldozing over anybody who stood in his way.

That same Tang Yizhou being here right now, obstructing him and protecting Xu Jiaqi, what did it mean?

Song Ziyi didn't know where Xu Jiaqi originated from in detail because the Zhao family always tried to hide the truth away and didn't want to talk much about the matter. Thus, he had always assumed that Xu Jiaqi must be a child that was left in the family's care, and was kept for sympathy reasons.

It also hadn't been long since he entered a relationship with Zhao Xinran, so naturally he wouldn't care enough to investigate about this unimportant life's details.

This was also why he would be overly critical of Xu Jiaqi's state whenever he made a rare visit with Zhao Xinran. He thought that the Zhao family were being too selfless- even though the real situation was the complete opposite of that.

After the System collected the information, something became awfully clear. The Zhao family, from the beginning, did not like the Xu couple.

Jealousy. Envy. Those hateful emotions, implanted into a human being's heart, would sprout uncontrollably and spiral downwards without stop once triggered.

It was easy to tell that the Zhaos definitely had a hand in the 'accidents' that happened one by one. Xu Jiaqi would even go as far as to say that the main tragedy was instigated by the Zhaos behind everyone's backs, and they somehow got away with it.

Xu Jiaqi didn't make a move yet because she wanted to be careful with her means, she wanted to gather all of the weapons she could use in this case before she finally conducts her attacks.

However, it didn't mean that she was clueless about the situation.

Knowing that she was at the right, and that the law would eventually be at her side as long as she could form her evidences and present them with a good lawyer, she was confident that this game of life would definitely set her as the final winner.

For now, she could only pick these fights, not having anything in particular at risk. She had everything, in the form of the System that accompanied her, but she also had nothing because there were no ties between her and this world after the original soul died.

It meant that she would have to be independent, but that was a blessing in disguise when Xu Jiaqi thought about it.

"Are you crazy? Who do you think you are trying to hurt?"

"Do you know this girl?!" Song Ziyi didn't believe it. This girl named Xu Jiaqi was nothing special in his eyes, and there were also no signs of her having some sort of special identity.

Tang Yizhou's hand grabbed onto Xu Jiaqi's, latching it around her and coddling her in a protective position. "Yes. She is under my protection. Song Ziyi, do you think that you are better than me now, to covet what I protect?"

Song Ziyi trembled as Tang Yizhou's glare scrutinized him from top to bottom. The Song family was rich, but compared to the giant that this beastly man had built up from the foundations, it couldn't be compared.

Tang Yizhou's influence spread over international countries as well, not just a city or nation wide impact. His works created waves in the world as a whole, whereas the Song family was just one of the many companies in business.

His logical side finally clicked, and he decided to withdraw from the place for now.

He was pissed, so pissed that he thought his head could burst, but it still wasn't good to go against Tang Yizhou.

After he left dragging Zhao Xinran with him, Tang Yizhou used his presence to clear the crowd out as well, making them shuffle away in fear as the stern man chased them away.

"...I don't know who you are, and I'm not going to thank you for what you did." Xu Jiaqi brushed off some dust from her dress and looked at the taller man with piercing eyes. "I could've handled them myself. I was the one who approached that bitch in the first place. There was no need for you to interfere, and yet you did. In fact, I now think that you should be the one to apologize."

'In fact, this would've been a perfect chance to spread some seeds of negativity.' Xu Jiaqi clicked her tongue.

Her favorite weapon was the public's opinion. It didn't need to be explained further. For a case like hers, and when one of her missions was one that needed popularity and heat, she needed to create scenes like this in order to propel herself into fame quickly.

No matter if the attention was negative or not.

Sighing, Xu Jiaqi picked up her bag and prepared to leave, before she was stopped by Tang Yizhou.

"..Now what?" Xu Jiaqi raised a brow at the man who she didn't know the identity of.

Tang Yizhou was at a loss. He was certain that the streamer he had discovered, the one who had ties to his ailments was this very woman standing before him right now. This belief was further strengthened by the fact that his mind continued to improve in clarity when he came in contact with her.

It was exactly like what he had theorized, meeting in reality had a much larger impact on him, and his soul felt like it was completely tranquil at the moment.

However, the contrast between the personality he had seen through the screen and this cold, prudent behavior presented to him at this moment was quite shocking to say the least.

It also brought a new sense of charm to her, making him feel emotionally invested too.
