Coming out of the bathroom, Li Na freshened up yet she still felt a little drowsy due to the lack of proper sleep. Her mind was preoccupied and filled with multiple thoughts preventing her from sleeping peacefully. Her eyes were heavy and eyelids loaded just as her mind was right now.

Roughly in the middle of the lavishly grand room with her back facing the balcony glass. Suddenly, Li Na paused in her tracks, when she felt everything around her was so quiet and calm that she can hear her steadily pumping heart and breathings in such a pin drop silence as if time itself has been stopped.

The stillness around her wasn't anywhere inside her. Which is scary. For someone like Mei-Xing, who has a bright personality and life, having a dead silence with no family or some person around her is kind of worst nightmare.

A few repeating words inside her mind echoed which she recited to control her emotions, suddenly froze within her. Those words articulated like a question to her.

'Mei-Xing get used to it?'

Although, she thought of them in terms of Little Tiger and her. Li Na threw the towel on the sofa as she came to stand in front of a full-length mirror as she thought to herself.

' Get used to it? But doesn't it's true, these few simple words applied to my whole existence. I have to get used to everything along...Could you believe it? The essence of everything is terrifying.' the bitter realization sulked into her consciousness yet she felt reluctant to believe and compromise.

She hardly has any control and choice over everything. Whether it's about the unacquainted people around her or it's about the body sealing her soul through which she's breathing in right now.

She doesn't know either she should feel grateful or be scared. Certainly, she's grateful for getting an unexcepted chance of being alive again yet something scared her the most. Obviously, every gain comes with its own price tag. And this unknown reward must have its cost. Perhaps, it's just her insecurity knowing that the life of her family without her seems normal.

She doesn't how to feel about this highly possible scenarios. And if that's the truth then she should cry or laugh at herself. but apparently, that's making her feel something very similar to the fear of loss and separation.

A hunch of emptiness.

Just like the place, she is staying now, the room which doesn't look like a square in shape but has more dimensions to it, she looks around at multiple decorated walls. Her eyes fall on the arrival and exit door to her left side, patiently moving around the other areas, from the nearby sofa's to the bedside table, and bypassed the large bed as her eyes rested on the window sill of the bay window to her right. She silently stared through the window glass for a while lost in thoughts.

With all the articles of clothing, only her little face from her eyebrows to chin was exposed to the chilling cold air. She went to pour a glass of lukewarm water from the thermal flask. Cupping the warm glass, she moved to the tightly shut french door.

She opened the door and went out onto the balcony.

At the early dark morning, it was extremely quiet and cold outside.

Li Na stared blankly at the dark sky engulfed in the wide stretch. Holding the war glass water she leaned on the balcony rail, and slowly took a sip. With the cold wind whistling and running through her long hair strands, she turned her head casually towards her left. In that instant, her motions stop unintentionally.

'Woah...what a beautiful piece of creation.'

Still, holding the glass to her mouth Li Na quietly stare at Lu Jianjun who was looking as quiet as this morning's hush and she doesn't want to disturb his peace.

She continued to gaze at the strikingly handsome man who appeared to be fallen asleep, sitting on the sofa with the fluorescent light falling directly on his face and that too in colder ambience.

'Hmm, a hot-blooded man but. How could a person sleep under such a bright focus of light?' Intuitively, Li Na felt a gust of chills and she rubbed the tip of the reddened nose which appeared to be frozen due to coldness.

Confused, Li Na frowned slightly but her eyes were locked on to him. A few documents on the table and an open ŀȧptop before him. But the man was leaning back with his eyes closed.

Where she heard this name? this is really surprising for her that after so many day and weeks she still couldn't recollect the incident involving his name or the person's voice tellings his name to her. Perhaps she read it somewhere or just had a glance? or whatever? Yet, she was sure his name is evidently embedded in her mind just like a random thought or dream with no specific linking.

'That's weird.' she murmured to herself. Li Na carefully sized up the man's features been herself as always like a little curious beast she was. Scrutinizing every inch of his face to see if it was real. It's much efficient and comfortable to stare at him while he is asleep, he seemed off guard.

Soon, Li Na noticed Lu Jianjun's eyebrows furrowing slightly. She wondered if he was dreaming as she also directed her gaze as deep as the ocean.

In the next moment, she jumped in shock.' Oh, fuċk' when Lu Jianjun abruptly opened his dark eyes. In that instant, his half-opened eyes seemed to catch her committing a crime.

"I didn't do anything." she backed herself throwing her hands in the air like a real culprit." I was just drinking water." she swayed the glass in her hand, highlighting it, for him to see first but his eyes were locked on to her never shifting or blinking for a bit.

His hooded eyes gaze at her intensely. The second her face fully registered in his mind, in a swift movement he sat up straight. Leaning forward, he instantly held his forehead before burring into his hands as he rubbed his fingers over his dazed eyes and temples. Turning to sideways, he glanced at the girl's face again. Li Na recovered quickly, and she warmly greeted him with a bright smile. " Good Morning."
