Chapter 48 - Two Choices

Li Na walked into his study room, she was dead tired by today's brainstorming and in mugging up Li Na's history although it was just the one-fourth of her past they can cover in a single day. moreover, she can't trust everything which was told about Li Na. But there's nothing much she can do as that is the only source of knowledge. Truth or lies, eventually it will be revealed. There are still so many things to know, but, more than that Little Tiger was important than anything else.

Meanwhile, Li Na sat on the chair opposite of the bosses chair.

While waiting for Lu Jianjun, his floor to ceiling bookshelves caught her attention. No wall, was noticeable as it was cover completely by bookshelves or door or window.

So, Mr. Lu is also a book worm...

Her eyes scanned through columns of the books as it contains numerous majors, advanced editioned books... many of them she read in her previous life but her eyes rest on the column of parenting books she never read. She browsed through them and laughed knowing that Mr. Lu did not only read about, How to be a good father? but also, how to be a good mother? There were bookmarks and these books were kept closest, within his hands reach. Hearing light footsteps behind, she carefully kept them in place when Lu Jianjun walked into the room.

They sat in front of each other, this scene reminded her of Lu Jianjun's image which was flashed in her mind, maybe that was Li Na's last memory of him.

Now that, they are in front of each other and he is waiting for her to speak, Li Na felt a lot awkward. After listening to the event between the two and how she got pregnant, she felt complicated.

Knowing that Lu Jianjun was drunk and Li Na didn't stop him been intimate with her so naturally, the couple mutually agreed to begin physical in their first meeting.

Seriously, What's wrong with her sister and cousin both of them lost their vɨrġɨnɨtƴ to a stranger more than that, both Li Na and Mei Lein chose the wrong way to deal with their heartbreak, simultaneously, trying to obtain the man, they love, by trying to make it a trade.

But at least Mei-Xing knows the whole matter to deal.

In this way, no matter how much she hates this fact, that Li Na was minor and Lu Jianjun should have gone to another woman, there was no particular reason for her to get angry at him. As personally, he wasn't compelled to answer to Mei-Xing. What so ever, they have no relationship.

"I'm sorry, " Li Na said pleasantly as she meant it truly.

"Keep it to yourself," he replied coldly as if her attitude didn't offend or bother him at all.

Instantly, Li Na's temper took a flight. Clearly, he was afflicted when she asked him, his age yesterday night and the way she opposed him in the conference room.

Li Na thought to herself.' Fine, it doesn't matter to you so why should I care.'

She smiled and said calmly. "I was apologizing for my behavior with Little Tiger." very smoothly she twisted her words the other way.

"And... I'm rejecting your apology on Little Tiger's behalf, "

Astonished, Lu Jianjun raised an eyebrow and replied. "Miss Li Na, You usually talk like this...or it is the medicines that are affecting your void brain. So, keep your apology and get straight to the point."

In an instant, Li Na's challenging expression turned to sullen, hearing his criticism. This man has a sharp tongue. No, it's spicy.

Li Na sighed sharply. "Ok, I want your help with Little Tiger. He doesn't want to see me and Lu Junhui told me Little Tiger always listen to you. So, will you please talk to Little Tiger and ask him to give me a second chance."

Lu Jianjun observed her closely, she wasn't faking her concern and really want to fix her relationship with Little Tiger. Very well, even if she didn't want any way he was going to force her, but, if she is willing then it's a relief for him.

Lu Jianjun tilted his head slightly, and thought about something and said, "I will, but before that, let u... me and you, clear a few things."

Li Na felt like she was stumped even he became silent for a few seconds.

Then, he opened his mouth, somewhat his tone was cold, "Since we have entered a registered partnership, and according to the agreement you have my money and I have Little Tiger and you're custody. Sadly, you're an ȧduŀt now and according to later conditions you're in trouble as you initiated to break the agreement by attempting suicide, now, you're in a huge debt."

Of course, when Li Na entered the ȧduŀt age group, Lu Jianjun wants to free her from his custody because he never wanted to keep her bound to him but he only did that so that her grandmother won't interfere between them.

Obviously, the other condition sounds like a threat more like Li Na was blackmailing him using Little Tiger and Lu Jianjun wasn't in the position to spoil his image as his footing in the business world was not as firm as it is now. And this fly was using his own resource against him. Isn't it funny!!! But then, he wouldn't have called a tycoon if he has lost to a mere woman like her, so he has to be ruthless.

For which, Li Na felt extremely sorry for messing up with this man, because, among the two of them, she has the worst past to tarnish her image, destroying her present and future. She did a huge mistake for using Little Tiger as a tool to get him. And for Lu Jianjun, destroying her become as necessary as cutting the wings of a fly. So, in the end, she has to give up and this time he added a condition. She can only come to look for Little Tiger after paying the amount he spent on her. Which is impossible for her, in this whole life, as that debt, was increasing day by day and she had to submit entirely, giving up her dream to be his wedded wife.

True that a woman is a weakness for a man but not every woman deserves to hold this authority.

Li Na: "..." Where is this going? If I get a chance, I can pay Li Na's debt with interest and fight for Little Tiger's custody but before that I want my boy to accept me first.'

Lu Jianjun continued: " Li Na if this what you were expecting while signing the contract with me then be prepared for the worst. I won't be repeating my words, so, get that straight in your floating head."

"I have given you the freedom, which you don't deserve. Now you have to earn it. And if I found you doing drugs outside then don't let me catch you, because that will be the last day of you're life. You survived till now because Little Tiger likes you."

Li Na was speechless and dumbfounded while listening to his words. His every word was scattering her expectation and plans she thought she could achieve. But this person sitting in front of her is ruthlessly crushing of it's every possibility.

'Have to earn my freedom? Did I lose my birthright too?

By this time, Lu Jianjun interrupted her train of thoughts, " For Little Tiger's sake, I'll give you two choices..."
