Chapter 37 - Lifetime Crush

Shocked, Li Na abruptly woke up as if she was pushed into the depth of hell. Her heart beating violently with the same rhythm as it was hammering in her nightmare. It's been a long time she had a dream like this.

Lina pressed her hand on her wildly beating heart. She muttered, ȧssuring herself. "It's Ok, it's ok. Everything's fine. All good. It was just a bad dream." After a while, she felt relaxed as she sighed a long breath eventually taming her nervousness. Slowly, a slight smile appeared on her face and she shook her head helplessly. " But... it felt so real. Weird"

A few seconds later, Lina looked around when the realization hit her, she abruptly sat up.

"Why? Fuck...No... not again. I seriously fainted in the middle of the conversation. Noo..." She held her forehead.

"I really needed to clear things out." Lina had a long list of questions to ask Lu Jianjun but before she can even ask, she began fantasizing on her own.

"Fuck you...it's all because of Lu Jianjun. I knew it, I already exhausted my mind and then...he just walked in and I completely forgot everything...I-I lost my mind again. Damn, I should have collapsed before he entered... but no... I wide awake with all the adrenaline rushing to my brain."

After censuring him, she began to criticize herself. "I wanted to chit-chat a little but no... forget about chatting I began to daydream about him and lost the track. Ah...this is so frustrating. why am I acting like a teenager approaching her crush? Shit, this is so embarrassing.." Lina rolled back on the bed, tossing and turning and kicking the quilt.

"Ah... Ugghh...whatever, I don't care. Remember what Grandma says about Love, Friendship, and Crush. Hmm, right."

Grandma says,' It takes 4 seconds to fall in love, 4 minutes to make a friend, and 4 months to get over a crush.'

' I never thought I could be remembering her bullshit theories. Like seriously, what kind of idiot falls in love in just 4 seconds. I just hope she's right about the crush. I can't bear this fluttering feeling. Grandma, look you always nagged me for not trusting, I'm putting my faith in words now. '

Great! It's just 4 months of glory and then, he'll be a random guy with an annoying face.

Inwardly, Li Na laughed merrily. She can't wait to hate Lu Jianjun.

Fuck! Have I already acknowledged him as my crush? She sighed and muttered. "Congratulations! Mr. Lu Jianjun You have been promoted only to get demoted later."

Now, She has an equal score with Zhang Han. Although he has a lifetime crush and she can't complain because she also admired and adore his crush and together talk about that beauty.

Are they going to discuss Lu Jianjun, the same way?

There was a lot of things she had on her mind. But she doesn't have anyone to talk. "I definitely don't trust these two Lu Brothers. Ugghh...Han, where are you? Sweetheart! I need you! I miss you so much."

"I need to know my relationship with Lu Jianjun. I know about Lu Junhui, he's my boss." Instantly, her expressions turned sullen.

' I don't have the slightest idea what he does? or What's my job? Anyways, I have to sort it out. Of course, more than me, Lu Junhui needs to take his job seriously. Being a Boss, he has to much extra time to play around his employee.

"And his Elder brother. Why the hell am I living next to that man? Honestly, I can't understand if it's their house or mine!" Because, if it's mine those two had to get out and if it's there's then I need to shift my buŧŧ. I can't be a charity case, right."

Lina reflected on her thoughts before she jumped out of the bed as soon as her feet landed on the floor she winced in pain.

"Watch out, idiot. It's not your former body."

Later on, Lina obediently followed her already settled daily routine. No complaints and no demands. She even ate those sour dishes which tastes worst than vinegar without opposing, just for a sole reason she needs to get healthy.

The sooner the better.

The manor was peaceful and quiet. For the whole day, she doesn't have a single encounter with any one of the Lu brothers, curiously she asked the butler. He told her about their respective busy schedules and she didn't bother further and decided to explore more about Lina herself for time being.

She took the documents first as she was impatient to know only one thing which was troubling her from the start.

Sitting on the window sill of the bay window in the bedroom. Her bandaged leg crossed over the other and a cushion supporting her back and one on her thɨġhs. She flipped some useless papers before taking a folder of important documents. As soon as she read some official and identity proofs documents, she sighed in relief. " Single. Good. She wasn't married to anyone."

Her brows arched as she smirked finding another similarity between them. They have a similar English name. Not bad.

An hour passed reading as she memorized and grasped every minute details she can get through those documents.

Suddenly, she felt like someone was watching her. She turned to look outside and saw the west wing's. Her eyes staring towards a particular opened window.

'Nobody's on the window.'

She turned back and froze someone is definitely staring at her.

Hmm...Are we playing hide and seek? I love to play with kids...

Lina raised her head without turning to look outside. She waited and kept on staring ahead for a few seconds then suddenly turned around frightening the stalker.
