137 5.26 Our Guests Arrives And The Plan For Karada Body

I need 5 more cauldrons and 5 more mixers that could hold at least 20 litres content each in the Realm of Mind and I need to weigh the contents properly from the original 75 kilograms of base soap into 15 kilograms of each cauldron with different scent and colouring.

According to my estimation, for a 50 grams bar of soap, we would be able to produce up to 1,500 pieces and equivalent to 300 bars of soap for every scent available.

These soaps could last as long as 2 to 3 weeks so we could produce them weekly and have some outside help to package it and sell them as well.

I also need to have a heavy duty weighing scale there and also a heavy set printing machine on plain onion skin paper that would depict its brand and scent. Once I had made 5 samples, I needed the help of Hiko-sama once again to register its Patent and Trademarks. Since they have the yellowish hard laundry soap, we are going to introduce another 5 more soaps.

According to history, domestic toiletry scented soap was invented by a cosmetics company in 1887 and was named (Kao) which means face on Japanese by Tomori Nagase.

Instead of using Kao as the brand name as well as bodiroshon which seems inappropriate since its not a lotion but a bar of soap, I have decided to christen it as "Karada" which means Body. I don't know how the effect this "Karada" would be in the world of cosmetics but then at least there's a try for the household in Kitakata as well as an export chance of this soap be reaching outside of Kitakata.

But first, our mission is to make Karada as a household name, below it would be labelling the scent and lastly our village name, Kitakata, Fukushima, Japan. We don't want anyone messing around with our product at all.

Midway through thinking all these, I decided to steal a bit of time and enter the Realm of Mind. I meditated in the middle of Toshi-sama's living room and drifted into the Realm of Mind.

Once there I quickly visualised 5 cauldrons with 5 mixtures each and labelled them accordingly with white masking tape and a marker. Next, I visualise 5 large 1-litre glass jars to store the perfumes.

Then I visualise a large heavy set printing machine much like how the do old typesetting for newspapers and tabloids. I arranged the main lettering for the brand and the name of Kitakata, Fukushima, Japan underneath it while leaving a large space to stamp in the words for its scent.

This could be done manually then wrapped with paper glue. Lastly, I arranged the words 50 grams on the corner just underneath the word Japan. I tested to run on one and it looked perfect with its black coloured lettering. I think I have to trouble Hiko-sama to make 5 different stamps that spelt green tea, jasmine, lavender, lilac and Rose in Japanese characters.

I held on to the paper as logged off from my meditative state and return to the real world. I looked at my hands and the paper was still there.

I set the paper aside and resumed my work. Once I had completed the housekeeping and brought in the clothes from the clothesline that were hung using hangers, I place them on a reed bamboo stick and hang it indoors. Then I left the house and carried the paper and hangers to Hide-sama's and Miroku-sama's houses and did the same with all their clothes.

Finally, I went back home well before my usual time, greeted "Tadaima" and pressed the printed paper in Hiko-sama's hands after replying "Okaeri" and I went straight to the bathroom. I charged up psi energy healing spheres and dropped them into the water just after I had turned the tap to full flow.

I could not care less if the water is freezing cold but summing up the visualisation for the production of soap was too much for me to handle. Once the water was three-quarters full, I shut off the water and removed my gi and plunged myself into the tub. I submerged myself and closed my eyes and held my breath.

1 minute...

3 minutes...

7 minutes.....

Time was like standing still as I felt my body slowly recharged as I blew out the remaining breath from my lungs and rose to the surface.

I instantly felt so invigorating and fresh after my body, muscles, tendons and cells were recharged. I exited from the tub and scooped the water over me until the tub was empty and I slowly turn on the tap and slowly let it drip very slowly.

I used my gi as a towel and went out of the toilet bare bodied and changed into a fresh pair of gi and hakama. Damn...! I felt totally recharged, unlike the other time when Mr Director said my energised water made by Psi energy spheres tasted like shit!

After I had changed into a pair of fresh clothing, I felt as if my strength had renewed and filled with vigour. I wondered what time it would be as it was nearing dinner time which occurs around 6 pm daily.

I looked at the sun and it seemed to be still above the treetops near the horizon indicating that there was still about half an hour before time. I sat beside Hiko-sama to explain the paper that I had pressed into his hands.

"Sensei... Sorry to bother you again. Could you help us by making 5 different ink stamps? Each one for green tea, jasmine, lavender, lilac and rose? Sorry to trouble you again, Sensei for such trivial things."

"Oh...? Not at all... Not at all... You are not troubling me kid, for as long as I can see income trickling in it shouldn't be any problem. You are going to wrap the bodiroshon on this paper? But wait...its called Karada now? Not bodiroshon that you initially intended?"

"Thank you Sensei, you're really big help. Once I had made 5 samples, you may need to go to the Patents and Trademark Department as I wanted people all around Japan to realise that this bar of soap had come all the way from Kitakata village here in Fukushima."

"No problem, kid... No problem... I will see to it tomorrow to make the stamps first. Then once the samples are ready I bring it to the Patents and Trademarks Department in the governmental district. So you went to the Realm of Mind to do this?"

"Not only that Sensei, but the whole process also is tedious and uses up a lot of my internal energies as I used a lot of visualisation for huge production machinery. Not unlike the Blacksmithing skill that I had and was able to visualise it in a short while but this soap industry, I had to visualise kinds of stuff that I had never imagined before. Fortunately, everything is on a timer. You want to go and take a peek? We still have time. It won't take long."

"Alright, let's go then. We go to my room instead, it's nearer to the main door here."

As he said that he motioned me to enter his room. We sat cross-legged on the floor and entered our meditative state. When we opened up our eyes, the first thing I heard was Hiko-sama praising all the equipment around him.

"This cauldron here, Sensei... Contained the mixture of coconut and olive oil. And I used 20 litres of water to my lye and mixed it. You see this mixer here? It's a modern technology that uses energy power around us to power it."

Hiko-sama was peering into the mixture and was totally awed and saw the mixer was slowly mixing the contents. The mixer had no connection and was operating on its own.

"Next here is the distiller to extract the Essense from each flower and green tea. The bunsen burner here is connected to an LPG tank which means Liquified Petroleum Gas. I had set it to medium heat so it slowly boils this water and the steam would permeate into these flowers and the Essense would drop back into this glass bowl. The end result would be a thick Essense and we call it perfume. I will add the psi energy sphere inside it so that when people use these scented soap to shower, they will feel invigorated."

Hiko-sama looked around and about the bunsen burner and was awed that the flames could come fuelled from a metal tank.

"Can you bring this to our real world?"

"I could, Sensei. But one thing is that it will change the course of history since this LPG is only available in the mid 20th century!"

"NANI...?!? You mean this comes from the future?!? What do you mean to say, kid?"

"I meant to say that I came from the year 2019 and here I am, trying to change the course of history with you in 1860."

"HUH...?!? You mean you are from the future?!? Is it true?!? Omagai...!!! Are you sure, Himura Kenshin?!? I don't quite believe it but I have to believe what you are saying is true... Oh my head, spinning out of control again!!!"

"One last thing here is the heavy press printing set. It is common to make newspaper or tabloids and magazines but I made this to print out the wrapping paper for these soaps."

"Ehhh...if you can print then you don't need the stamps right? You could just do it here by yourself..."

"It's easy for you to mention that, Sensei. But in real fact, people would find it suspicious if we are able to ink everything. People might come tearing our place down since Kitakata is cut off from other influences of other countries and they thought that we had let in foreigners into this land. Oh yes, I need you to make one huge stamp like this one but we won't be using it. It is for show only."

I pointed out to Hiko-sama the words Karada in bold and the origin and the weight of the soap. Hiko-sama nodded in apprehension.

"You said there was a timer for the burner and the machine they mix here?"

"Yes, Sensei. According to my calculation, they would stop soon. The timers will cut off the gas supply as well as turn off this mixer. However, since this production was not ready yet, I will adjust the timer for another 30 hours which means that it would be set in 10 hours. However, I would drop in the early morning as I wake up and later during lunchtime tomorrow to check on the progress."

"Ah, I see... So it needs constant monitoring as well. So how are you going to make the soap?"

"Interesting question, Sensei. In this area, I may need your help as we worked out one scent each time to mould the soap. It's manual work and I can't think of a machine to do it automatically since I am not expertise in that area. Even if I am able to visualise it, I would exhaust my internal energies and I might die and trapped in this production area."

"Alright, I understand. Let's go back. Anything I'm not sure, I will ask you again. You really come from the future, eh kid?"

Hiko-sama shook his head when he recollected that I came from the future. We soon logged off and leave our meditative state and back to reality.

Hiko-sama sat there and placed his arms behind him for support and looked at me." If you claimed that you are from the future, then what are you doing here in 1860?"

"I am here because I transmigrated into this body of an 11-year-old boy. You were supposed to chase off bandits that were pillaging the village and managed to slay every single one of them before they had a chance to kill this boy. His name was Shinta and you took me in as a disciple as well as an adopted son."

"Then for 4 years, you taught Shinta the art of "Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu: The Flying Heavenly Sword Style" and he wasn't able to fully master it and thus only completes the first 7 moves. There was a war and a conflict ensued between you and Shinta and he left to join the war where he met a girl by the name of Tomoe which happened to the fiancée of one of the assassins Shinta had killed."

"This was the part of it and your name is not Hiko Seijuro also since if you were the 12th successor of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu: The Flying Heavenly Sword Style. Your other name would be Niitsu Kakunoshin as a Potter."

"Your character is a lazy person and does not have the intent to socialise and prefer to work on your pots in the mountain. You also don't intend to work for other people and that's why you excel at pottery best."

Hiko-sama sat there listening to what I had said with his eyes wide open and his dropped jaw. He looked at me as if I am reading him like a book. Suddenly we heard some voices in front of the house and realised that our guests are here for the evening.

"Hey, Sensei... Snap out of this! Our Guests are here!" I shook Hiko-sama's shoulders and brought him back to reality. He blinked a few times and went forward and I closed my room door in case they wanted to use the bathroom and passed through the door and would start wondering where all the items had gone to.

I went outside and greeted them and asked if they had finished their work and how the rest of the day went.

"Ah... One-sama bought some gyoza and kushikatsu for lunch just now and shared with me. See, I still have the balance money you gave us earlier. Hhuummpphh....! "

Izumi was so shocked at Riko that she had to use her hands to shut her niece up. She then bowed towards us in embarrassment towards her niece's open attitude.

"Haa... Haa... Haa... Don't worry, it is alright. Its just food to fill your sustenance that's all."

"Yes, Hiko-sama... It was the first time we ate gyoza and kushikatsu and hhmmppphh..."

Once again Izumi covered Riko's mouth with her hand and this time Riko took the opportunity and bite it.

"Hey...! If it is not for me you would be..." suddenly Izumi let her words hang in midair as she looked down and stared at her own feet and Riko felt a kind of remorse and tugged at Izumi's sleeve and said, "Onee-sama, please forgive Riko. I forgot we are in front of strangers and we are still strangers in this part of town. I won't leak out where we come from, Onee-sama please forgive me..."

Hiko-sama watched the scene unfold and as for me, I understood how they tiny they had felt for so long and this is the first time they had been treated nicely by a couple of strangers.

"Haiya... Haiya... Haiya... It is a happy occasion so don't think too much okie. We are here for dinner and since we have company, I am sure that it would open up a huge appetite for us. Hee... Hee... Hee..."

I went up to Riko and patted her head and I did the same to Izumi as well subconsciously. It was as if I was with Akira/Akiara during her time before her accident and suffered from amnesia in the 3rd series of this novel.

"Oh, sorry, Onee-sama I went to pat your head earlier... Because since I did it to Riko-Chan, I also did it to you..."

Damn you Himura, you are not a high school kid in Nagoya but you are now in an 11-year-old body! Don't go around and patting someone's head especially if they are older than you! It's a sign of disrespect!

"Alaa... Alaa... Alaa... Please don't stand on ceremony, but please sit down here in the terrace. Please forgive us for the poor reception of guests since our order of the garden furniture is not here yet. Please...Izumi-chan and Riko-Chan... Take a seat here by the terrace. Himura-kun is about to make some green tea."

I took the signal to enter the kitchenette and prepare some hot tea with them. I hope the two young girls would not be afraid of Hiko-sama who was right now hugging his jar of sake.

After the water is hot, I served hot green tea with for cups and brought them out in a tray. There were Kaki fruits and I brought them on a small saucer and a knife along with the hot tea. The kaki was now ripe but not overripe and was only bought about 3 days ago I think.

"Come let's have some tea and cut these kaki fruits which are in season right now till the end of winter and early spring." I offered the tray and I went to take out the top leaf part and cut the fruit four ways.

Izumi and Riko were already sitting on the other side of the terrace and when I offered the fruits to them, I noticed Riko was again tugging the end of the Izumi's sleeve and looked up at the latter's face.

Izumi then reached out for the saucer and gave one to Riko and she took one slice for herself. It seems that these pair had been under the influence of the underprivileged and somehow had faced a certain degree of hardship and then another part being abused either psychologically or emotionally and these effects would take quite some time to recover.

"Don't you need to go to school, Senpai? Are you doing work on your own or someone else makes you do it? Asked Riko out of curiosity.

"Well, at first I had to find work since I need to have some coins jiggling in my pockets. If I don't have any money, then I will worry a lot. Because I can't depend on Hiko-sama for all my needs, is that right, Sensei?"

"Hmm...? Eh... You're talking to me, kid? Sorry, my mind was thinking about the things you showed me earlier and I can't stop thinking about it. You were saying...?"

"I said, I cannot always depend on Sensei for my foods and clothes forever right? We have to work for ourselves and earn some decent living."

"As for Sensei, his hobby is drinking so what he had in his arms right now is his beloved sake which in fact tastes like yumeshu."

Suddenly there was a gust of wind and the printed paper that was lying beside Hiko-sama was picked up by the sudden breeze and it landed right in Izumi's lap.

I wanted to catch it but I happen to hold to the kettle with one hand on the wooden handle while the other was holding the spout.

"Damn...." I thought as only my eyes were able to see the printed paper float in the air and twirled down and landed squarely in Izumi's lap.
