Chapter 68 - Second Day Of The Monthly Exam

Name:Psycho X Psychic Author:JhiThan_Ser
Just as Teren predicted, when the second day of the Monthly Exam came, he would multiple presences in the vicinity, hiding in the shadows and plain sight, stalking him.

'Does this mean that the Drago House is not abiding by my condition?'

Thinking about this, Teren was not that surprised. After all, he is just but one man. To make the whole Drago House move for his sake is a ridiculous thought if one knows the context of what's truly happening.

However, thinking that also means one has a narrow mindset. The reason why these big gangs were risking their men and information just to get a chance to communicate with Teren is that it's necessary.

'But now, I have to concentrate in my studies first...'

As if he was not the center of attention, Teren scratched his head while trying to remember what he crammed last night.

While the big gangs were plotting against one another with him at the center, he was trying to review his studies last night in hope of having a passing score.

"Unfortunately, although I'm not stupid, I'm not a genius."

Teren muttered while he walks together with the other students on the road.

Meanwhile, in the background, different spies that Teren looked at as stalkers held their devices as they heard Teren's voice specifically.

'What do these words mean?'

The spies from the Serpen House thought when he heard Teren's utterance about the exam.

'There must be a deeper meaning behind this.'

With 'The Devil Himself's reputation, they all had their guards up and were paranoid to the point that they were overthinking every action and word they saw or heard from Teren.

Arriving at school, the first thing that Teren saw was Iesa's eyes. Immediately, both their eyes averted one another.

'M-my heart... I can't contain it.'

Teren held his chest as if in pain.

Fortunately, the spies cannot enter the school building. No matter how skilled they are, they don't have the ability to hide from the whole student body.

Of course, the people from the Drago House can camouflage themselves but to what extent and for how long? Others can also disguise themselves as students but if only Teren doesn't have a mysterious and almost unbeatable detection Spirit then that would be fine.

Ultimately, from such a simple school, they wouldn't get any information so the spies backed off.

Since there is still a bit of time before the exams start, almost all of the students are outside of their rooms, doing last-minute cramming. This is surprisingly helpful considering that there are a lot of students who don't know anything about the exam since they don't take them seriously.

Teren sat on the same level of stairs just like yesterday and tried to do the last-minute cramming for the first subject as well. Since he had studied the night prior, he had a much easier time recollecting it.

But even though he was immersed in his own world, he couldn't deny the feeling of being stared at. Of course, he tried to ignore it because he was one hundred percent sure that this stare does not come from one of the "stalkers"

Teren didn't even bother mentioning the malice from his surroundings. The more he acts as an individual alone, the more he looked vulnerable. It seemed like Nick, his 'guard' was nowhere to be found.

Thus, the others saw this as a chance to 'mess' with him.

But before they could arrive at Teren's location, the person in question closed his notes, placed them in the bag, and went inside the room. At the same time, the bell rang.

"Damn it!"

The others who were about to approach him strongly muttered under their breath as they thought that they had missed a rare chance.

And when they were about to go back to their own rooms, they saw Nick running towards them with a sharp glare.

"Eek...! R-run..." one whispered as they power-walked out of there.

'I'm late! I overslept!'

Nick was running and seemed to be glaring but in truth, it seemed like he was just in a bad mood for waking up late...

'Son of a bitch, the answer is A!'

'You little fucker, you think you can hide from me? I'll peg you until you die, encircle that asshole, the answer is C!'

'Oh, here comes the identification test. This doesn't stop me since I memorized almost all my notes. But if we're talking about how fat your mom is, I'll give up memorizing something that is longer than pi. Or the exact date of her birth which happed in the pre-historical period.'

"Hm~ hm~"

Lina quietly hummed while she innocently waved her head left and right as if she's having fun answering the test.

Meanwhile, Iesa regretted that she made a mistake and now, she had no choice but to listen to Lina's thoughts to keep up. Lina is slower than the other smart kids because for some reason Iesa wants to ignore.

'I chose a wrong move, I crammed too much last night that I lack sleep.'

"Zzz..."

Nick's head was almost falling and only when it hit his desk does he wake up.

...

Thud*

...

Thud*

...

Thud*

"Nick, can you please stop making that noise?"

The teacher asked politely, not knowing the reason for such sounds.

"Eh? Hah!?"

Nick looked around as if he did not know who called him.

Remembering the rumors floating around, Teacher Jared gulped down and thought Nick was trying to intimidate him which seemed to be working.

"..."

This pathetically silenced him which the students obviously noticed.

Eventually, break time came and Nick no longer cared about the results as he banged his head onto his desk and soon after, snoring could be heard.

Teren ignored him and was about to come to the cafeteria alone when he was called.

"Hey, Teren~!"

He turned around and saw Lina running towards him.

"Yes?"

This was the first time Lina acted so brazenly in front of everyone.

"Are you going to the canteen?"

Teren nodded in response.

"That's obvious but I still asked, let's eat together, come."

Lina cutely grabbed his arm.

Teren felt pressuring gazes all over the place but in one particular spot did he felt the heaviest gaze. It should be obvious who it came from.. But he didn't decline since he thought Lina could deflect the incoming troubles if he were alone.
