24 Memories from childhood-9

Due to staying in cold water for an hour and mental exhaustion Vivian fell ill. She was burning with fever for two days, her parents were by her side not leaving her even for a second. They thought she had eaten something bad, so she fell ill so they didn't asked her more.

However the pain that they were seeing was not physical, it was emotional. She stayed at home for a week. During the week she never spoke with anyone else and mostly remained in her room. There was so much happening in her mind.

The year end annual examination was coming soon. She focused on studies and this time with double efforts. Another major thing she decided to do, that was leaving the place as soon as possible.

At first, she thought after all this she will eventually forget about Luke but she underestimated her heart. There was not a single day, that she didn't think of him. Everything was going out of control. But she couldn't avoid him. He was her childhood friend, classmate and most importantly her neighbour.

What about her parents? Her life was so messed up. She wanted to achieve something so bad for her family and herself but the sh*t happened!

For the very first time in her life she allowed a boy to enter into her life and what she got?

PAIN!!!!

She decided to apply for Phoenix University, which was far away from her hometown.

The university was the best in the country, only a few could get in. She was late to apply. Since she was a special case, for getting admission she had to pass a very difficult entrance examination.

She studied hard for it and easily passed with highest rank, with almost five to six ranks higher than best alumni of the university, Adam Klein.

The Dean was more than surprised and immediately accepted her with condition of keeping the same rank every year. She agreed without any thoughts.

Before leaving the city, she called all of her friends over. She arranged a farewell party for them. Luke was not there, Nina said he had something to do very important. She thought it was fate that they aren't together. She really felt for Luke, it was something beyond words but unfortunately he didn't reciprocate same.

With heavy heart she left her home. The place where she grew up, she had so many good memories with her family, friends and Luke.

She wanted to move on. She wanted to completely give up on him. She couldn't blame him because her liking him was totally her problem, not his. She was not even supposed to have such kind of feelings for him at the first place. After all of this they couldn't be normal friends again, at least it was impossible for her.

She cannot change the past nor she can stop Luke for liking someone else. She had no right to do so.

Who was she to him? a mere friend, or maybe a girl next door? What does he think of her? She didn't care about it now.

During her stay in the hostel dormetories in the University she finally found the reason to get over Luke, that she had to take over Brandon holdings and to seek her passion for biology. She was a budding biologist. But due to the episode with her step grandmother and uncle, she knew that it would be best if she chose buisness as her major.

Even in the school her favorite subject was biology. She loved the functions of cells, Micro-organisums. She thought after dealing with Brandons, she can continue her research in microbiology.

She became friends with her new roommate Sophie Klein, who was also the sister of youngest business tycoon in the world, Adam Klein.

She heard before about this man but sharing room with his own sister was completely a different scene.

Surprisingly she was a beauty with kind heart. Vivian though that she would be a spoiled brat but she turned out to be a cute little child! They soon became closer and eventually best friends with each other.

Sophie used to tell about her big brother. She was very very very impressed with this guy. Only if I could do the same, she thought.

Creating a massive buisness empire without any backing was no joke, but if he can do it then why can't I! I will definitely be better than him. She was fully determined.
