Chapter 89 - So Jealous

With Wu Wuqing gone, Wu Yange plodded out of the palace ruins towards Rong Zian who was eagerly waiting for him. Wu Wuqing's words and had struck a nerve and couldn't help but feel anxious. He wanted to protect the one he loved but feared his strength wasn't sufficient. Seeing Rong Zian's dazzling smile directed at him, his heart ached at the thought of never seeing him again. 'No I will never let that happen,' he thought as he pulled Rong Zian into an embrace.

Rong Zian was startled and could feel something was bothering Wu Yange but he didn't press his boyfriend to tell him. He knew Wu Yange would tell him whatever it was when the timing was right and so sank deep into his lover's loving embrace with no hesitation. They soon parted and the group of four made their way to the border to take care of the people of Qinshu province. Ying Tie eventually got sick of carrying Wu Fan and so he begged Rong Zian to heal the man sticking to his back like a tick.

"I say Rong Zian, I really can't carry him any longer. Wu Fan keeps taking advantage of me and I am getting sick of it. How about healing him so I don't end up committing murder," pled Ying Tie trying to shake off the sticky Wu Fan.

Wu Fan was glaring at Rong Zian hinting for him to stay out of this. "I….umm….well," stammered Rong Zian not sure who he should be helping exactly, Wu Fan or Ying Tie. Wu Yange came to the rescue draping his hand onto Rong Zian's shoulders. "He has nothing to do with this," he said whisking his boyfriend away as they walked ahead of the troublesome pair.

'My cousin is fuckin awesome!' thought Wu Fan snuggling nicely on Ying Tie's back.

They soon arrived at the border and found the crowd of refugees waiting for them, Rong Zian set up shelters for them and supplied ample amounts of food and other basic necessities as he couldn't take them with him to Hexie. "Wu Wuqing is dead so you don't have to fear anymore and have the chance to start all over again. I advise you to pray to Guang if you need anything else. I also have to caution you on following your ancestors' path because it will never end well for you. Rather choose to live in harmony despite your differences as you all have equal right to be here," said Rong Zian addressing the crowd with a stern expression his hands behind his back.

When he was done addressing the crowd, he turned to Wu Yange who was standing behind him. As the eighth prince of Hepeng, he had the highest authority here thus Rong Zian gave him the floor. But the prince was in cloud nine bewitched by such an authoritative Rong Zian barely listening to what he was saying. "I said do you want to say something?" he whispered at the prince with a perplexed look on his face. What the hell was Wu Yange thinking?

The prince smiled and walked over standing right behind him. "Do whatever he said," said Wu Yange addressing the people while his itchy hand discretely patted Rong Zian's butt before walking away with a satisfied smile. A bashful Rong Zian couldn't stop himself from blushing all wide-eyed. 'Fuckin hit and run! I will remember this Yan Yan,' he thought looking away as he followed behind Wu Yange.

"So jealous," mumbled Wu Fan looking down at Ying Tie's ass when a sly grin creeping upon his face. 'I will get you later baby Tie,' he thought while smiling as though he had just won the lottery.

Rong Zian instantly teleported the group of four directly into the battlefield outside Hexie. Ever since he left the dark abyss they were certain exceptional upgrades within his body that were never there before or maybe he had never realised it was within him all this time. All he knew was that he felt extremely powerful like he could take on the world single-handed.

The battle was at its peak with both sides crossing swords with each other and Qinshu army had the biggest advantage as the wolf-like creatures rummaged through Hexie's defence system, Rong Zian didn't need to say anything before Wu Yange activated his sapphire flame with his dragons emerging ten times bigger than before. Huore and Houyan roared releasing massive blue flames up in the sky as a warning. This terrified man and beast alike with both sides ceasing fire in astonishment. The creatures were smart enough to retreat wimping out but the dragons didn't give them a chance to escape ruthlessly vaporising the beasts one by one.

Qinshu army could clearly see this was a battle they could never win as their defences crumbled like a brittle cookie that had been left out on the sun for too long. The dragons attracted emperor Qiangda who was currently in the barracks issuing battle strategies. The army of Hexie began to shout praises seeing that the eighth prince had returned to rescue them.

In a short time, emperor Qiangda reached his son who was hovering above the ground with his dragons circulating behind him. "Wu Wuqing is dead! I give you one chance to repent and kneel before your king!" commanded Wu Yange in a dictatorial tone. It was either they accept emperor Qiangda or die here on the battlefield. Most of Qinshu's soldiers didn't hesitate because they were forced to compel in fear of Wu Wuqing and what he would do to their families. They bowed down in masses before emperor Qiangda all except the generals who remained standing.

"You have clearly made your choice!" yelled Wu Yange sending his dragons to strike them one by one. Even if they had begged for mercy Wu Yange would never let them live. These were men loyal to Wu Wuqing's cause and would only suppress the people of Qinshu again given the chance. Wu Yange glanced in Rong Zian's direction for no apparent reason but his boyfriend did something that even the emperor noticed.

Rong Zian blew a kiss and winked at Wu Yange with a flirtatious undertone. The prince's face redden in a scarlet blush that was clearly visible, his previous domineering aura completely dissipated. 'Payback is bitch Yan Yan,' thought Rong Zian in a low chuckle. The soldiers around them found it amusing but didn't dare say anything as they continue bowing their heads. Wu Yange knew he couldn't continue and so got back on the ground saluting his father before dragging Rong Zian off the battlefield.

"Wu Yange! I need to meet with you!" emperor Qiangda yelled after Wu Yange but the prince kept on walking.

"Tomorrow father!" he yelled without looking back.

Ying Tie followed suit saluting the emperor with the big baby still on his back. "You...!" said a stunned emperor pointing at Wu Fan.

"Uncle long time no see. Haha, see you tomorrow," he said before Ying Tie excused them both.
