Chapter 59 - Its Not What It Looks Like

Wu Fan wasted no time and divulged the details, "His in the mountain in an underground cave, Wu Yinyou has him. I can take you there but you have to promise not to kill me," he replied still scared stiff.

Ying Tie couldn't resist chiming in, "Aren't you comrade in arms, why are selling her out now?"

"That's the thing I went into hiding because that Rong Zian guy scared me straight. I was afraid he would come for me later to revenge on what happened that day so I decided to cut and run. Neither you nor Wu Wúqíng would have found me and I didn't want a part in all of this. But then there was a ghost in my soup that told me where he is and threatened me that if I don't do it she would come for me spilt my soul in bits so you see, that's why am here?" blabbed Wu Fan endlessly that the two men could barely follow his story.

Wu Yange didn't understand the ghost part but clearly heard the 'I know where he is part' and so he grabbed Wu Fan by the arm and took off into the sky. Ying Tie followed behind using his full strength to catch up with them.

Wu Yinyou had waited enough, the bloody bastard just wouldn't wake so she had to come up with a plan B and plan B wasn't that great either. She had used up all the poison on Rong Zian but now she needed him, awake. Wu Yinyou used her full strength to get the antidote from the bottom of the pool but failed miserably. This is when she decided to take him back with her to Qinshu province and get another antidote from her father.

Confident in her strategy, she called out for the guards several times but no one replied. Feeling frustrated she decided to drag him by the leg, out of the cave but as though fortunate was playing tricks on her, she pulled Rong Zian 's pants off thus Wu Yange walking in on such a scene.

This is how he pictured it, 'A desperate woman trying to undress and unconscious man for who knows what intention.'

Nervously laughing, she addressed Wu Yange and Wu Fan, it's really not what it looks like."

Wu Yange's face was so flustered that if you look closely you could see steam coming out from both his ears and nose. Sadly for her, Wu Yange noticed the cuts which he wasn't as mad about but when his line of sight fell on the dark purple hickey confessing all of Wu Yinyou's sins, the man lost his senses.

In an instant fireball rained on Wu Yinyou as she tried to escape using her ability but because she was ill-prepared, she didn't go far. The last attack sent her flying straight into the cave walls before she came crashing down with a loud thud. Wu Fan gazed at his ruthless cousin and thought, 'Tsk, tsk…..so brutal. Damnit that could have been me.'

She sat up straight as Wu Yange ran over to check on Rong Zian who was as stiff as a corpse. "You bastard you burnt my face! Wu Yange how great you are ruining me for following instructions. I will kill you, wait and see," she yelled disappearing in front of their eyes.

Wu Yange heaved a sigh of relief when he felt Rong Zian's pulse, however low, it was there. Feeling appeased, he caressed Rong Zian's pale cheeks before lifting him in a bridal carry taking off for the mansion.

Wu Fan in disbelief, yelled after him, "Wu Yange you bastard why are leaving me behind," he complained as he watched him disappear into the night. Just when he began sulkily walking back, Ying Tie finally showed up too late to the party. Wu Yange was too fast for Ying Tie so he turned back all dejected but Wu Fan was beaming.

"Ying Tie, you're fast right? Can you carry me back please, I am so tired," said Wu Fan with a pleading expression like that of a lost puppy.

Ying Tie sighed complaining to himself, 'How are Wu Yange's problems now my problems.' He looked back at him which he soon regretted. The guy was just too sad and lonely he couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

"Fine, hop on," he said crouching down so Wu Fan could jump onto his back but it didn't happen. Tired of waiting he stood up puzzled but Wu Fan instantly jumped into his arms in a bridal carry.

"I saw Wu Yange carrying Rong Zian this way and I thought it might be fun," he spoke with a roguish smile.

His brows creased and he quickly let go of him like dropping a hot potato straight from the oven, "then walk," he said and began heading for the city.

Wu Fan rubbed his buttocks with a malicious grin on his face and jumping onto Ying Tie's back, holding on tightly so he wouldn't be shaken off. Ying Tie eventually gave in descending down the mountain at a fast pace.

Three days went by but Rong Zian hadn't woken up, though he was completely healed with the lacerations gone without even leaving a scar. Wu Yange watched over him during the day and slept beside him at night. He was grateful to Wu Fan because if he hadn't told him where he was, who knows what other atrocities Rong Zian would have been subjected to.

Not knowing where he was made him feel helpless, he couldn't even protect the one he valued the most. So he came to a decision, which was no task, no family and no life is worth him losing Rong Zian. If he had to kill, he would and as for whoever he had been planning to confess to, they should just forget about it. From now on he was going to stick to Rong Zian like white on rice and show him that he was better in all aspects. So what, if he didn't have boobs? He was still good enough for him.

Recalling Rong Zian's powdered medicine, he had left in the kitchen, Wu Yange stood up to retrieve it. He had conferred upon himself the responsibility for Rong Zian's prescribed medicine and no one else was allowed in that room apart from him. He blew out the candles with a flick of his finger and exited the room.

Wu Yange had only been gone under ten minutes when Rong Zian finally arose from his slumber. Though it had been three days, to him it felt like he had been asleep for only a day, it seemed time in the goddess' space moved differently. He struggled to get up he limbs feeling heavy but at least he could move them. He was back in Wu Yange's room at Primrose mansion but the prince was nowhere in sight. There was a basin with warm water and a towel placed next to it. It seemed someone had been here watching over him.

He drew in cold air in pain when he felt a sharp sting on his neck, it was the spot Wu Yinyou had taken a bite out of him. Feeling dirty, he dampens the towel and vigorous wiped his neck as though trying to erase it. Distraught, Rong Zian stood up leaving the room in a heist, heading into the darkness. He had one thing in his mind to help him deal with what he had been through. With Wu Yange upset with him and being harassed by a psychopath, a drink would at least calm him to sleep.

After great trouble, he finally found the kitchen and roughly searched in the dark hoping to find even rice wine to alleviate the overwhelming anxious feeling growing with every minute. Unable to find even a single drop in the kitchen, he decided to go look for a cellar. A huge mansion like this must have a cellar, right? While packing away the things he had tossed around, Rong Zian suddenly sensed an eerie bone-chilling feeling as though being watched. He voluntarily looked around but couldn't see anyone. Just as he decided to leave the creepy kitchen, a low voice stemming from the darkness startled him. "What are doing in the dark?" asked the person hiding in the dark.

To the person, it seemed like an honest question but Rong Zian had an overactive imagination. Dude had watched so many horror movies to know that's how people died. Just as he was about to take off running aimlessly, a strong arm embraced his waist and drew him backwards. He was about to have a major freak out when he heard the soothing voice coaxing him. "Ssshhh, it's okay. It's me, I really didn't mean to scare you," said Wu Yange.

Rong Zian's faint heart was about to have a severe heart attack. 'Why the fuck would Wu Yange be in the dark at this hour?' he thought as he gradually calmed down. Only when he finally relaxed did he realise the ambiguous posture they were currently in. Wu Yange was embracing his waist from behind with the prince's face buried in his shoulder. A familiar memory popped into his head, turning his face bright red like a blushing bride.

Just as he sank deeper into his embrace, grasping this moment as much as possible, Wu Yange released him and lit up the candles before asking the question a second time. "What were you looking for? If you need something you could have just waited for me to come back."

But his question fell on deaf ears. Faced with Wu Yange's face under the dim candlelight, Rong Zian was speechless unable to utter even a single word. His flawless skin was radiant under the golden rays with his thin moist lips moving seductively as he spoke and the dancing flame from the candlelight reflecting on his clam almond-shaped eyes. He had to venerate Wu Yange, he was indeed a gorgeous man
