Qiao Chen carefully held Xu Wan’s hand. When he saw the nasty wound on Xu Wan’s palm, his heart ached. He imagined how Xu Wan, a feeble woman, was waiting for him to come, while being determined to perish with the despicable man. She was so brave that he pitied her.

“Does it hurt?” Qiao Chen’s voice had never been so gentle.

Xu Wan sobbed and muttered, “It doesn’t.”

“How can it not hurt? You bled so much.” Qiao Chen knew that Xu Wan was never one who showed weakness in front of others.

Then, he carried Xu Wan and sent her to the hospital.

Ah De had never expected to see such a scene in his life.

His cold-blooded and heartless boss was carrying a woman in his arms. From time to time, he would lower his head and coax her. “We’re reaching the hospital soon. It won’t hurt anymore.”
