Chapter 147 - 13 - A Lava Grunt

Writing down notes and comments about Pokémon in his notebook while his team was with him, Rico was in positive peace after that video practice with Isaiah, while Isaiah himself was checking his recent video practice so he could improve what is not right, especially the words and the quality of the voice. But in this time, Catherine and her team was with them writing a novel. Luckily she had a day off from work so she had a free time for herself and her friends. Catherine had really liked Isaiah's future career as a reporter and journalist. However, there is a grunt, the same who spied on Rico and Catherine a few days ago, spying on them behind a tree, seeing their activity and movement as the lava-infested part of her body produces heat and causes a heating effect on her surroundings. But the heating effect produces a little burn on the tree trunk, then it was enough to produce and emit smoke. And then, it did not take a long time for Lucario and Sceptile to notice it by sniffing it. They then stand up and went to the direction where the smoke came from in suspicion of a campfire. And upon peeking out behind the tree, both strong Pokémon got surprised suddenly at the grunt's appearance, backing off away update in scared. But the lava-covered grunt didn't mean any harm towards them and she tries to calm them down. But unfortunately for her, Lucario and Sceptile reacted by using Focus Blast and Bullet Seed towards the grunt. The grunt took cover from the attacks, and the attacks did not, or almost, strike her. But those noises caught the attention of Rico, Catherine, and Isaiah, who then responded quickly as soon as they heard it. And upon arriving at the scene, they called Lucario and Sceptile, before turning their heads towards that female grunt and got very, very surprised quickly.

"Woah, who and what is that?" Isaiah commented in mild terror.

"It's... It's the same person who spied on me and Rico!" Catherine responded back in mild terror. Rico then said a similar thing as well.

Then, the grunt was scared of the kids and apologizes for spying. The three kids got confused at what she was doing.

"What is she doing?"

"Is she trying to apologize or something?"

Their Pokémon then responded with questioning. And then, the grunt turned back and fled the scene. It's another of the spying moments of a neo version of a villainous organization, or was it now?
