After eating lunch, they packed up and continued their journey back to Pallet Town. Arriving at Cerulean City, they decided to take some rest, before hopping on Ash's Flying-type Pokémon and fly back to Pallet Town.

By lunchtime, Rico, Ash, and their group had arrived at Pallet Town, positive in being at home again. There they parted ways with Trip, who will be returning back to Unova. Shortly after that, Ash and Rico parted ways to each other and went to their homes. At his house, as he enter in, Rico greeted his mother and older brother, "I'm home." Upon seeing him coming home, Rosario and Jonathan greeted him back. Rico then stepped in and head straight upstairs to his bedroom. At this time, the additional walls and roofs had been finished construction and even modified it with a doorway cut through the wall and placed a wooden doorway to look it nice and much more accessible without having to go outside just to go to the second floor.

There he called all of his Pokémon, and they stepped into the scene in various expressions. Rico took off his jacket and hat and put it on his bed.

"Ah, finally home!" he commented in a state of relief. Then to his Shinx, "Shinx, welcome to my home." Shinx then responded with happiness, and then suddenly looked at its Trainer's Shinx doll. Shinx was puzzled by it and lightly tap on it repeatedly. Chuckling, Rico commented, "I think you pretty confused by that Shinx doll, Shinx."

Shortly after, it's lunchtime, so Rico and his Pokémon went downstairs to eat up. And as his and the other Pokémon eat up their special food, Rosario asked him how's his journey to the Abandoned Power Plant.

"Oh, it's so good," Rico happily answered her. "I met with Ash's friends and a rival, had battles, and even caught an Electric-type named Shinx." Looking at Shinx before resumed eating, Jonathan replied back, "Yeah, it is. Wow, your first Electric-type. I'm impressed."

"Thanks, brother," Rico replied while scratching his head a bit. "How's your Pokémon?"

"It's fine, fine," answered Jonathan back, "but my Pokémon Egg was still not hatching."

"It'll take a while, Jonathan," Rico brightly in response.

"Thanks, dude," Jonathan replied back. After lunch, Rico help his mother washing the dishes while Jonathan will be taking a nice nap. After helping out, Rico gave his Pokémon a nice warm bath in the backyard in big large plastic basins. But since Lucario was too big to fit in the largest basin available, Rico will have to bathe it with a hose and a sponge full of soap on the grass. It took him an hour under the hot sun, but the end results are great. His Pokémon are now clean.

Later by 3:05 p.m., Rico was looking at the sunset with his Pokémon as he stand on a hill in the cool breeze. The wind was blowing against his dark brown hair, his jacket, and pants in swift speeds.

"Wow, it's been more than a year since I become Pokémon Trainer," he thought in good commentary, "I had become stronger and stronger, bit by bit everyday. That was amazing. I'm on my way to be a strong Pokémon Trainer." His Pokémon was looking at him in various expressions. Though it might be too early for a sunset, but he really like the view at that time.

After looking at the sunset, Rico and his team are walking down a street, only to come across a group of buildings almost to be built. He didn't noticed it because he didn't travel on that route.

"What is this?" Rico wonders in mind. "I don't know. A school? Maybe." After some looking at those buildings, he and his team resumed walking towards home. But those buildings will gave Rico an opportunity for a better future.
