Chapter 87 - 46 - Rock Memories

The next morning, Ash, Rico, and their group are now outside of the Pokémon Center, thanking Nurse Joy for letting them stay. It was a bright morning as the rises over the horizon.

"You're welcome, Ash," Nurse Joy happily responded with hospitality. "Feel free to visit us anytime." Bowing his head in respect for a second, Rico replied, "Thank you for everything."

"So where's your next destination?" Nurse Joy brightly asked them. In response to that, Ash looked at his map for a bit, looking for his next destination, and then after finding out where, Ash answered Nurse Joy, "The place where I first met Charmander, and then to Celadon City, and lastly, the Abandoned Power Plant." He then folded back his map and put it back in his backpack.

"Okay then," Nurse Joy brightly responded. "And don't worry about the damages Team Rocket caused yesterday. We'll call the maintenance team to do the job. You may go now."

"Thanks," they happily replied. They, carrying their bags, then turned around and walked away towards the way out of the city. But before leaving the Pokémon Center, Trip came and asked them seriously and calmly, "Hey, Ash..." Hearing him, they all stopped walking and turned around to see him.

"Trip?" Ash asked him in puzzling.

"Ash, how can I explore your home region?" Trip asked him a question. This puzzles them, and Ash began thinking about it, figuring out Trip's problem. Ash then finished thinking and answered him, "How about joining us?" This answer stuns the Trainer.

"You'll explore places Ash had been there," Serena persuaded him happily.

"And you'll catch new Pokémon along the way," Iris happily added. Thinking about this, Trip took a deep breath and then answered them with positivity, "Sure, that'll be fun." This excites the rest and Trip held his bag firmly and joined them. They all walked together from the Pokémon Center and out of the city, with no doubts nor conflicts. But since the journey to their next stop is so long, Ash decided to call his Flying-type Pokémon and ride on them, commanding them to fly to his next destination. Of course, Ash will take his group with him on his Flying-type Pokémon.

But, suddenly, Ash took a U-turn, deciding to show his friends a place, the place where he went off course with Misty's bike. His friends, however, agreed with him totally, and they all turned back and went to the other side that goes towards Pallet Town.

In less than 30 minutes, they had arrived at the small bank Ash was talking about. They were amazed by it as Ash explained about it.

"So you're saying that this is the place where you and Pikachu are being chased by a bunch of Spearows?" Iris asked him in responsive commenting.

"Yes, that's true," Ash brightly responded. His Pikachu then responded with happiness.

"Wow, Ash," Trip commented as well, "I think you had a rough start."

"Yeah, he told me that his first Pokémon is Pikachu," Rico told Trip in positivity while crossing his arms.

"So what happened in the end?" Serena asked Ash.

"Pikachu used Thunder Shock after being struck by a lightning," Ash concluded his memory, "and we managed to defeat those Spearows, forming our friendship." That statement amazes them.

"Wow, that was....cool at first," Rico commented, "and pity at the last." Iris then commented the similar thing. He then pulled out his Pokédex and checked for a Pokémon called Spearow. Once he found it, he tapped on it, and then his Pokédex responded, "Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. A Normal and Flying-type. It flaps its small wings busily to fly. Using its beak, it searches in grass for prey."

"Wow, cool," Rico commented in surprise. He then put it back in his pants pocket.

"Yup," Ash happily replied. This follows with a short silence, with Flying-type Pokémon flying across the sky in groups.

Shortly after, Ash called his Flying-type Pokémon, Talonflame, Unfezant, and Noivern, and they stepped into the scene with the flapping of their wings. They then landed on the ground, and Talonflame and Unfezant fold their wings.

"Wow, those two Pokémon are so strange," Trip commented in surprise when seeing Talonflame and Noivern.

"Those two are Talonflame and Noivern," Serena responded brightly. "Pokémon from the Kalos region."

"Wow, those Pokémon are so cool-looking," Iris commented in amazement. Pulling his Pokédex once again, Rico pointed his Pokédex towards Noivern; his Pokédex then responded, "Noivern, the Sound Wave Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Noibat. A Flying and Dragon-type. The ultrasonic waves it emits from its ears can reduce a large boulder to pebbles. It swoops out of the dark to attack."

"Wow, so awesome," Rico commented in amazement. He put his Pokédex back to his pants pocket and touch and feel Noivern's fluffy mane of white fur. Noivern was happily calmed by it, and Rico kept doing it for a few seconds.

Then, Ash hopped on his Noivern and said to them, "Come on, guys, hop on on them." Pikachu and Noivern then responded in persuasion. They agreed with him, and Serena hopped on Noivern and sat behind Ash while holding on his waist. In response without any doubts, Rico and Iris hopped on Talonflame, with Iris sitting behind Rico and hold on his waist, and with positivity. Trip then hopped on Unfezant and sat on it.

"So, are you ready?" Ash asked them with confidence. They then nodded to say yes.

"Okay!" Ash responded with positive enthusiasm. Then to his Flying-type Pokémon, "Alright, you three, let's go!" Talonflame, Unfezant, and Noivern then responded with the showing of their wings, and, flew out high into the sky as their passengers hold on. But, a Pidgey, which turns out to be a robot in paint, turns its head around and using its high-tech eyes, spied on Ash and his friends flying away.

Then, at a hidden base, a grunt, who was controlling and monitoring that Pidgey robot, reports his findings on Ash to his commander and boss. The rest of the grunts, shrouded in red, ordinary lab coats, and advanced technologies, are working in their computers and other gadgets, as their boss overlooks them from a balcony. The figure was big, but shrouded in the darkness, and was an enemy of Ash. He wanted to seek revenge against Ash, due to having his plans foiled. This time, his looks won't be the same as the past, and now getting more notorious than ever. Will Ash and his team finds this out and be prepared?

Meanwhile back at them, they were flying above in the sky on Flying-type Pokémon. Glancing down the land, Rico was amazed, commenting, "Wow, this is so beautiful and nice."

"Yeah, it is," Iris added brightly. Her Axew then responded with happiness.

"Hey, what is that?" Serena asked Ash upon seeing Mt. Moon.

"That's Mt. Moon," Ash explained about it, "that's where special stones called Moon Stones can be found."

"Moon Stones?" asked Rico back.

"Oh, those are kind of stones that can be used for evolving Clefairy into Clefable," Ash too explained about the stones.

"Oh, I see," Rico replied in knowing it, "that's how it can be used. Okay, thanks." Ash then smiled at him back. This follows with a short silence for a while.

An hour has passed, and they had arrived at the spot where Ash first met his Charizard as a Charmander, and also at a route that goes to Vermilion City. Upon landing, they get off and Ash called his Flying-type Pokémon back to their Poké Balls. After putting them in his backpack, Ash guided them to the rock. And upon seeing the rock, Ash's friends are amazed by it.

"I remembered a Trainer just abandoned it," Ash explained while crossing his arms.

"What? Now that's mean," Rico commented back in criticism.

"Why he would do such a thing?" Iris asked Ash.

"Just to make it stronger, he supposedly said," Ash seriously explained why. This causes them to gasp in shock.

"How bad he was," Serena commented.

"Now that's a bad, bad Trainer," Rico added a comment.

"I think I would never do that," Trip commented seriously.

"Yes," Ash seriously replied. "This is what happens when you mistreated your Pokémon." Pikachu then responded with seriousness.

"Oh, okay," Rico replied in knowing. "Well, I won't do that to my Pokémon."

"Good," Ash responded back. Then, suddenly, his Charizard come out of its Poké Ball in taking a break from it.

"Charizard?" Ash asked it in puzzling upon noticing. "What are you doing here?" Charizard then responded with happiness, saying that it wanted a break from its Poké Ball.

"Okay then," Ash brightly responded to it. Pikachu then responded with happiness.

"So, Charizard, do you remember this place?" Ash goes on asking Charizard. "The place where we first met?" Seeing the rock, Charizard remembered when it was just a little Charmander, and after that, it responded to say yes.

"Ha! I knew you remember it!" Ash happily exclaimed. Charizard happily responded, and then, used Flamethrower on Ash, burning his face. This surprises his friends and Pikachu, and Ash, coughing, responded about his Charizard, "Yep, Charizard still loves to use Flamethrower on me." Charizard happily responded. In turn, Rico, Serena, Iris, Axew, and Pikachu then laughed in funny, while Trip crossed his arms and commented, "I can't believe...." It was a good day, with memories dominated most of their travels.
