Chapter 76 - 35 - Move the Beehives for the Berries

Name:Pokemon Pearl Author:Marc0702
Back at the woods, Lucario and its gang backed away from the aggressive Ursaring. In retaliation, Monferno used Ember, attacking Ursaring with small flames, but it's not effective against the big, wild Pokémon. In hostility, Ursaring used Hammer Arm, smacking Monferno with a hand that glows gold, knocking Monferno out in pain. Monferno then got fainted in pain. Angered by this, Lucario retaliated and used Force Palm, running up to Ursaring and puts its palm on it. It then fires a huge light green blast from its paw at it, striking it very effectively. Ursaring then got blasted away a bit and struck to a tree, inflicting it much pain. The Teddiursa then come out of its hiding place and went to its mother Ursaring in desperate.

On time, their trainers came to their rescue, asking them what is going on.

"Monferno! Are you okay?" Wesley asked Monferno in desperate as he carried it in his arms.

"Lucario, what happened here?" Rico asked his Pokémon. Lucario, Piplup, and Litleo then told him what happened.

"Oh, really," Rico replied in getting what they said. He then turned his head towards the injured Ursaring and the desperate Teddiursa.

"Wow, an Ursaring," Isaiah commented in amazement and stunning. He then pulled his Kalos Pokédex and pointed it towards Ursaring; his Pokédex then responded, "Ursaring, the Hibernator Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Teddiursa. A Normal-type. In its territory, it leaves scratches on trees that bear delicious berries or fruits."

"Wow, hostile," Isaiah commented upon hearing this. He then put it back in his backpack and focused towards the situation. Before anyone would retaliate, the little Teddiursa cried for its mother Ursaring, looking at the group with tears. In response, they felt pity and concerned about it and its worse situation.

"Oh, no, I think we just hurt its mother," Rico commented in concern and worry. Piplup then responded with concern as well. Then, suddenly, two Combees came down from their beehive that was hung from the tree and intervened in the situation with no violence.

"Woah, a Combee," Rico commented in stunning. He then pulled out his Pokédex and pointed it towards the Combees; his Pokédex then responded, "Combee, the Tiny Bee Pokémon. A Bug and Flying-type. It collects and delivers honey to its colony. At night, they cluster to form a beehive and sleep."

"That's cute," Rico commented upon hearing this. He then put it back in his jacket pocket and focus back towards the situation. The Teddiursa asked the Combees to bring it berries from the tree above them. The Combees agreed, ascending up and pick some ripe berries. And, in the same time, the queen of the Combees, Vespiquen, came and asked her Combees what is going on. The Combees then told her what happened and the request of the wild Teddiursa, and in response, the Vespiquen allowed them to continue. Seeing the berries grew on those trees, Isaiah commented in surprise, "Wow, berries." His Charizard then responded with surprise.

"So all this time the Ursaring attacked the town just for berries?" Wesley made a hypothesis.

"Just because the beehives blocked its access to those berry trees," Rico connected his friend's hypothesis with a theory, "and their queen is too hostile for the Ursaring to get." Lucario then responded in agreement. After picking some berries, the two Combees came down and handed the Teddiursa with them. Realizing the mistake his Pokémon had made, Rico come closer, kneel down with one knee, and admitted his mistake to the Teddiursa, "I'm sorry about my Pokémon hurting your mother. In response, we will take her to the Pokémon Center. What do you say?" Putting down the berries, Teddiursa turned towards the boy, and nodded to say yes, agreeing with Rico's offered aid. The Combees and the Vespiquen, however, just watched them from above.

Later, the kids carried the injured Ursaring all the way to the Pokémon Center. It was heavy and huge, but they were determined to get the aid done. Inside the Pokémon Center, Nurse Joy ran across the main hall and asked them, "What's going on here?" Struggling to carry the big Pokémon, Wesley responded, "This Ursaring was injured, and it's really, really bad." In response, Nurse Joy asked her ȧssistants, two bright Chanseys, to bring her a big stretcher for the Ursaring ASAP. Moments later, Nurse Joy's Pokémon ȧssistants came with a stretcher on the way in emergency. The boys then lay the Ursaring down on the stretcher nicely and gently.

"Okay, we'll take care of it," Nurse Joy told the kids in concern. "Wait here until we give you a notification about it."

"Okay, we will," Wesley nicely replied.

"Thank you," Isaiah added politely. Nurse Joy ten turned around and went with her ȧssistants to the emergency room with the injured Pokémon. That was strange. Rico was now involved in a rescue and mystery case of the Ursaring attacks.

After lunch, still in the Pokémon Center's waiting room, the kids are discussing the connections between the beehives' involvement with the Ursaring attacks at the town.

"So that means that the beehives are the reason why that Ursaring plundered the town in search for berries?" Isaiah made a theory while thinking. Litleo then responded in agreement and suspicion.

"That's because the Vespiquen is very hostile to those tried to invade her home," Wesley responded in agreement. Monferno then agreed with him.

"But what solution we can do so the plunders would not be happened again?" Isaiah asked a solution and a resolution. Thinking about this and figuring out what to do, Rico stood up and brightly resolved, "We'll move the beehives to somewhere that is not berry trees."

By 3:30 p.m., the residents of Muñoz Town moved the beehives out of their original place and to a spot where oak trees are dominant, under Rico and Wesley's request. Nurse Joy was just about to release the newly recovered Ursaring back into the wild.

"Wow, this was a great solution," the berries seller commented in rejoicing, "Thank you, kids."

"You're welcome," Rico and Wesley simultaneously answered in positivity. Lucario, Litleo, and Monferno then responded in happiness.

"Well, Rico was smart in this situation," Wesley's father happily commented while crossing his arms and closing his eyes in a relax-like state. Once the beehives had been successfully relocated, the inhabitants of it then accepted into their homes' new place. The Ursaring then started to walk slowly and steadily towards the berry trees. Its Teddiursa children then came out of their hiding place and come closer to their mother Ursaring. Everyone who sees this was in emotion and awed by this heart-breaking scene, with Isaiah commenting, "Wow, this is sad and great." The Ursaring then climbed up and picked some berries using its paws and shared it among her children. Oh, man, it is an emotional scene for everyone, including and even the nature lovers.

In less than 30 minutes, Rico and Wesley had packed up everything in their campsite and returned back to Wesley's house. There Rico returned the clothes Wesley let him burrowed and said thank you to him and his parents. They were happy about it, telling the kid that, just in case Rico comes to visit, they'll let him burrow clothes whenever he needed.

At the train station, Rico is now about to depart from this rural town. Almost everyone in the town is wavering goodbye and wishing him good luck and health. Rico then said goodbye to them and then entered the train car ȧssigned by his ticket. And as the doors are closed, Rico settled down on his seat and began writing a commentary about his day, but he didn't know that Isaiah was following him by boarding another train car.

Later on his way home, as the sun sets beautifully over the horizon, Rico was leaning against the window side of his seat as the sun rays reflected through the windows. It was an amazing day for him.
