Chapter 74 - 33 - Camping for a Day

Name:Pokemon Pearl Author:Marc0702
At afternoon, as the sun goes down, while at the town's Pokémon Center for their Pokémon to be fully recovered, Wesley asked Rico, "Hey, Rico..."

"Yes?" Rico replied in positivity while reading a manga comic.

"How long you'll be staying here?" Wesley asked him.

"Around two days," Rico replied back while flipping to another page. "Why?"

"Do you want to camp for at least one day?" Wesley brightly asked him.

"Sure, okay, that's a good idea," Rico replied in positivity. Then in a concerned state, "but..."

"What?" Wesley responded with a puzzling face. In realizing something's wrong in his plan, Rico freaked out with yelling a bit and, shivering with anxiety and fear, then responded, "I forgot to pack my clothes! I thought this is supposed to be an all-day trip, but a one-day camping trip too? I should've call you so you could ask me that?" He then covered his face with embarrassment with his hands. Figuring out his problem, Wesley brightly suggested him, "I know! You can burrow my clothes until the end of the day. Just return it before you leave." Removing his hands from his face in realizing that solution will help, Rico responded in unsure, "Are you sure about that?" Nodding to say yes, Wesley happily obliged, "Yeah, because you're my friend of course." Looking in pity happiness, Rico hugged him and said in speed, "Oh, thank you, thank you, Wesley. That saves my life." He then discharged from hugging and wiping a few tears.

By 6:45 p.m., the pair and their Pokémon are bringing baskets of easy-to-cook food and bottles of drinks like mango juice and water. They will be camping just in the nearby outskirts of the town. In less than 10 minutes, they had made their campfire and placing a pot and lid on it, suspended by wooden sticks. One basket contains their clothes, including the ones Wesley had loaned to Rico for a day, and a sports bag containing sleeping bags, a foldable tent set, blankets, and pillows. In their campsite, Wesley was setting up the tent with his Pokémon helping him, while Rico was cooking food at their campfire with his Pokémon helping him. It was a cooperation of friendship.

7:10 p.m., as the half moon rises over the nightly horizon, and as the town turned on their lights, household and outside, to illuminate, like a night painting, the boys are eating dinner with their Pokémon at the campfire.

"So, Rico," Wesley's asked him breaking the silence, "did you ever found out who is Blue Ninja?"

"Uh,..." Rico responded while doubting, "Yes;" he then gulped his food down his throat.

"Woah, then who is that?" Wesley asked him with enthusiasm.

"Well," Rico answered with giving his friend clues, "according to my friend online, Isaiah, he is the champion of Alola and the Orange Archipelago." Amazed by that fact, Wesley stand up, put his plate of food aside, and responded, "Wow! A champion is a ninja as well?"

"Yup," Rico retorted with positivity. His Lucario then responded in happiness while eating its special food.

Later, as the campfire was burning brightly in normal temperature and brightness, Rico, Wesley, and their Pokémon are lying on the grass whilst gazing at the stars in the clear, night sky.

"Rico," Wesley asked him.

"Yes?" Rico answered him calmly in positivity.

"Did you know that the constellation of stars also represent Pokémon and their symbols?" Wesley asked him straight while pointing out at a constellation of stars that loosely looked like a Lucario with a cool pose. Seeing the said constellation, Rico was delighted, commenting, "Oh, right. Make sense." Lucario then responded with delight. He then pointed at another constellation, this time it looked like an Infernape using Flamethrower.

"How about this one?" he asked brightly, "This might be your future Pokémon as an Infernape."

"What? It is?" Wesley retorted in stunning. Rico then looked surprised, and then he and Wesley then laughed about it as they are having a fun time.

Later, by 9:14 p.m., in their shared tent, as Wesley slept peacefully in his sleeping bag, Rico was awake, calling Ash on phone, telling him about his day.

"Wow, that was good day," Ash, while making some small tech, response in positivity, "And your friend is surprised that your Pokémon had evolved?"

"Yup," Rico happily answered while closing his book and put it back in his bag.

"Okay, good night, have a safe trip home," Ash said his goodbye in positivity.

"Thanks, and good night," Rico replied in positivity. He and Ash then ended their conversation and Rico went to sleep, turning off his portable charger-lamp. The night was clear, with stars illuminating the sky like a painting, and two meteorites speeding across the sky and disappeared immediately in speed.
