Chapter 56 - 15 - A Connoisseurs' Battle!

After some time, they had a Pokémon battle. Rico, Iris, and their Pokémon are watching them. And as he faces Cilan and his brothers, Ash retorted in style, "So, what Pokémon you three gonna use?"

"Our Simis," Cilan replied in serious coolness, "How about yours then?"

"I'll only use one: Greninja," Ash responded in cool seriousness. Stunned by this, Iris stand up, and responded to Ash, "Ash, are you nuts? You're against three trainers and three Pokémon."

"What?" Rico thought in stunning, "Son of a Sceptile is he doing?" Then, the battle began. Cilan and his brothers called out their Pokémon, Simisage, Simisear, and Simipour and they stepped into battle. Ash then called his Greninja, and it stepped into battle, facing the three Pokémon in serious fierce. Upon seeing a new Pokémon, Rico asked in stunning, "Who's that Pokémon?" He then pointed his Pokédex towards Simisage; his Pokédex then responded, "Simisage, the Thorn Monkey Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Pansage. A Grass-type. Ill tempered, it fights by swinging its barbed tail around wildly. The leaf growing on its head is very bitter."

"Wow, leafy cool," Rico commented in amazement upon hearing this, "How about the red one?" He then turned his Pokédex's attention towards Simisear; his Pokédex then responded, "Simisear, the Ember Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Pansear. A Fire-type. When it gets excited, embers rise from its head and tail and it gets hot. For some reason, it loves sweets."

"Wow, that was fiery," Rico commented in amazement upon hearing this, "And what about the blue one?" He then turned his Pokédex's attention towards Simipour; his Pokédex then responded, "Simipour, the Geyser Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Panpour. A Water-type. The tuft on its head holds water. When the level runs low, it replenishes the tuft by siphoning up water with its tail."

"That was...cool, I guess," Rico calmly and upon hearing this. He then put down his Pokédex and resumed watching the battle with his Pokémon. That was a lot of entries in his Pokédex.

Then, as the soft winds blow through the scene, the action part had begun.

"I had an advantage, a disadvantage, and no affection," Ash seriously thought, "This might be hard switching from one form to another, but I'll try."

"This is so insane," Rico thought, "A triple battle against one? That was so unusual."

"Alright, Greninja," Ash commanded Greninja in serious coolness, "Let's power up! Lava Form!" His Greninja then transformed into its Lava Form, forming fire and lava designs all over its body and changing its type.

"What?" Rico thought in stunning, "Another form?"

"Ha!" Cress retorted in style, "You had the disadvantage!" His Simipour them responded in style.

"Oh, really, eh?" Ash retorted sharply. Then to Greninja in commanding, "Greninja, strike Simisear with Lava Shuriken!" His Greninja then used Lava Shuriken, forming a shuriken of lava in its hand and tosses it to Simisage, striking it effectively.

"What" Cilan commented in surprise, "It's effective?"

"Simipour, use Hydro Pump!" Cress commanded Simipour in serious coolness. Simipour then used Hydro Pump, blasting water at high power. But Greninja dodged it quickly and swiftly in speed, surprising Cress a lot.

"Wow, Greninja's so fast and cool like a ninja," Rico thought in surprise and stunning. Axew then responded in surprise.

"Oh yeah, take this!" Cilan retorted sharply in seriousness, "Simisage, use Solar Beam!" Getting up fiercely, Simisage used Solar Beam, absorbing sunlight, and then fired it to Greninja as a beam. But Greninja also dodged it quickly and swiftly in speed, stunning Cilan.

"Simisear, use Flamethrower!" Chili commanded Simisear in serious coolness. Simisear then used Flamethrower, opening its mouth and scorched an intense blast of fire towards Greninja. But it only got absorbed by Greninja's lava body, shocking the red connoisseur a lot.

"Don't you know?" Ash responded in seriousness, "Fire-type absorbs Fire-type moves."

"Wow, it's so awesome," Iris commented in stunning.

"Axew(Yeah)," Axew responded in amazement.

"Exca(Hm-m)," Excadrill seriously responded.

"Greninja, use Lava Shuriken!" Ash commanded Greninja in serious coolness. Greninja then used Lava Shuriken, forming a shuriken of lava in its hand and tosses it to Simisage, striking it effectively, so effective in fact Simisage got fainted in defeat.

"Simisage is unable to battle," Rico, acting as a referee, announced, "Greninja wins. Two are now remaining;" he then pulled out his be and stick and ring it, one thrice and one once. Calling his Simisage back softly, Cilan commented, "Well, that was a good battle against you, Ash." He then put it in his backpack and told his brothers, "It's now up to you two." Chili and Cress then seriously nodded in agreement; they then turned back towards battling Ash and Greninja in seriousness.

Meanwhile, Serena was walking pass by when she heard the noise of the battle and the smoke from it. Curious about this, she ran to the meadows to where the noise came from. Arriving there, she saw Ash battling Cilan's brothers now.

"What's going on here?" she asked.

"Ash is battling them," Iris responded, "and now Cilan is out."

"What?" Serena responded in rising, "That's so crazy." Her Delphox then responded in plain.

Back in the battle, Ash seriously thought, "Now I had the disadvantage and no affection. I must be careful by this." He then commanded Greninja in seriousness, "Alright, Greninja, let's power up! Lightning Form!!!" His Greninja then awesomely transformed into its Lightning Form, changing its Lava designs to Lightning designs, even causing a lightning strike and a thunder sound for a second. After Greninja finished its transformation, Cilan and his brothers are so shocked and surprised by this, with Chili commenting, "Wha...? What is that?"

"It's Ash-Greninja form: Lighting Form," Ash answered him in coolness.

"Woah, it's so awesome," Rico thought in surprise.

"Ash is so cool and awesome," Serena thought in surprise.

"Oh yeah, take this!" Chili responded in serious coolness, "Simisear, use Flamethrower!" Simisear then used Flamethrower, opening its mouth and scorched an intense blast of fire towards Greninja.

"Heh," Ash retorted in style. Greninja then dodged Simisear's attack in speed, shocking the brothers.

"Then use Lightning Shuriken!" Ash commanded Greninja in serious coolness. Greninja then used Lightning Shuriken, forming a shuriken of lightning in its hand and tosses it to Simipour, striking it very effective and with great power, shocking Cress a lot.

"So effective?" Cress commented in shock, "A new move?"

"That's right," Ash retorted in style, "Greninja's moves are determined by its form and type." Greninja then responded in great seriousness.

"Oh, no, I'm so doomed," Cress responded in semi fear.

"Quickly, Simisear, use Flame Charge!" Chili commanded Simisear in seriousness. Simisear then used Flame Charge, stomping on the ground repeatedly with both of its feet, kicking up dust from the battlefield. Its body then becomes surrounded in red-yellow fire and it jumps forward, slamming its body towards Greninja. Greninja then dodged it quickly in speed, causing Simisear to miss its target and it slammed into a tree on the head, inflicting it pain. This shocks Chili a lot.

"Quickly, Simipour, use Rain Dance!" Cress quickly commanded Simipour seriously. Simipour then used Rain Dance, summoning a heavy rain, causing the spectators to take cover under trees and the Fire-type Pokémon to be called back to their Poké Balls.

"Ha! You think Rain Dance can do the job?" Ash retorted in style, "Do you even know that water is a conductor of electricity?"

"Oh, no, my bad," Cress said to himself in realization.

"Greninja, use Lightning Shuriken!"Ash commanded Greninja in serious coolness. Greninja then used Lightning Shuriken, forming a shuriken of lightning in its hand and tosses it to Simipour, striking it with great voltage, and causes electrical conduction. Simipour fainted in exhaustion and defeat.

"Simipour is unable to battle," Rico announced, "Greninja wins. One is now remaining." He then ring his bell, one thrice and another once. Shocked by this, Cress sighed softly in defeat, and called his Simipour back to its Poké Ball, telling it, "Well, Simisear, you did fought well. Have some rest." Because of this, the rain and the great clouds dissipated, restoring the sunny day. The spectators, upon seeing this, then come out in realizing it.

"Chili, you're now all by yourself," Cress told Chili. Nodding in agreement, Chili turned to Ash and retorted, "Ash, you're gonna get it!" Then to his Simisear on serious commanding, "Simisear, get up, and use Flamethrower!" Getting up, Simisear stand fierce, and used Flamethrower, opening its mouth and scorched an intense blast of fire towards Greninja.

"Quickly, Greninja, behind you!" Ash immediately commanded Greninja. Greninja,. sensing the attack, then dodged it and used Lightning Shuriken, forming a shuriken of lightning in its hand and tosses it to Simisear, striking it and the tree so much that it produced an explosion and a shock wave that spreads across a medium-sized circle. When the smoke clears, Simisear fainted in exhaustion, shocking the connoisseurs once more.

"Simisear is unable to battle," Rico announced, "Greninja wins, and the match goes to Ash Ketchum." He then rang his bell, one thrice and another once.

"Well, you're saying," Ash retorted in style while crossing his arms. His Greninja then reverted back to its original form.

"We just..." Cilan commented in shock.

"...lost against a..." Chili connected in shock.

"... champion and friend?" Cress put the rest of the sentence. Snapping out, Chili sighed softly in defeat, walked to his defeated Simisear, and called it back to its Poké Ball, telling it, "Well, you did great. Get some rest." He then walked back to them, and commented in positivity, "Well, Ash, that was a fun and awesome battle. We can't believe you beat us gym leaders."

"See? What I told you," Ash brightly replied, "You can't beat a champion like me." His Pikachu then responded in positivity. Everyone then laughed about it, as they are having a good time. But it interrupted when three stomachs growled for food. It was the connoisseurs, who had been not eating breakfast since arriving in Alola.

"And we forgot to eat," Cilan commented in embarrassment, "We didn't cook anything."

"Don't worry!" Ash happily responded, "You can come to my house. I'll cook something nice for you." Thinking about this, the three brothers agreed, they and the others went to Ash's house for breakfast, along with their Pokémon.
