Chapter 32 - 32 - My Parents' Pokémon

By Sunday morning, everyone in the school group packed up and went home back to Kawayan City. And as they board the bus, the camp manager and staff wavered goodbye in happiness and friendliness. The school group had been having so much fun they would be distracted from studying. In the same time, the Kawayan Festival is now in her final stages of preparations.

By 11:10 a.m., Rico arrived home by his parents' car. Inside the house, and as they are having lunch, Lucas asked his son about his camping trip, "So, Titus, how's your camping trip?"

"It's fun and full of joy and hardships," Rico brightly answered in positivity. His Pokémon, which are eating their special food in bowls, then responded in happiness.

"Especially the kayak race and the bonfire feast," Rico continued his telling. Impressed by this detail-interlaced story, Lucas replied in positivity, "Wow, that's cool and yummy." His Samurott, who is eating its special food in a bowl, then responded in happiness.

"Yeah, that's good and fun," Rosario responded in commenting and emphasis, "That brings me back memories of your age." Her Azumarill, who was eating its special food in a bowl, then responded in happiness.

"Thanks, mommy and daddy," Rico happily replied. This follows a short silence of eating and drinking.

"So, since today is my day-off," Lucas asked his family in breaking the silence, "Wanna go out to the park for a walk and support for the festival?" Thinking about this, Rico and Rosario nodded in agreement with him and answered in the same time, "Sure!"

Later after lunch, the family went to the park to spend time together, along their Pokémon in their Pokeballs except Riolu, Sylveon, and Magneton, who are out of their Pokeballs. They helped arranging the stage for the festival concert, and the food stall for all-day feasts and snacks; also, they helped cooking the food such us Yellow Curry and Potato Salad. After that, they went for a little walk.

"Hey, son," Lucas said to Rico brightly, "Since you had Pokémon now, you wanna have a battle with me?"

"I'm not sure about that," Rico responded in doubt and skepticism, "You're a lot stronger than me you know."

"Come on, Titus," Lucas brightly replied, "Just once. I'll go easy on you." Thinking about this for a while, Rico responded with confidence and determination, "Okay, let's do it!" Riolu then responded in determination.

At the park's battle field, Rico and Lucas are having a Pokémon battle; their Pokémon are Litleo and Magneton. Rosario, her Pokémon, and dozens of people are now watching and cheering for them. In the battle field, Lucas said to Rico in coolness, "Don't worry, son, this is just a test for you." His Magneton then responded in seriousness.

"Yes, okay," Rico replied in a cool response. Litleo then responded in determination.

"You can do it, honey!" Rosario exclaimed in cheering. Her Azumarill then responded in happiness while watching.

Then, as the sun sets above a skyscraper, the battle had began as the entertainers rang their instruments, one twice and one twice. Lucas will have his first move, "All right, Magneton, use Shock Wave!" Magneton then generate electricity and used Shock Wave, shooting towards Litleo with a jolt of electricity that never misses.

"Quickly, Litleo, use Flamethrower!" Rico quickly commanded Litleo in seriousness. Litleo then opened its mouth and used Flamethrower. The Flamethrower then went and cut through the Shock Wave, striking Magneton very effectively. Then, the Shock Wave then struck Litleo, inflicting it much pain effectively. Upon seeing this effective move, Lucas was stunned, and thought, "What? Fire-Type moves are effective against Steel-type? Oh, I remembered that Steel can be melted."

"Dad, are you okay?" Rico asked him in confusion. Snapping out from being stunned, Lucas answered him in coolness, "Yes, that's an effective move. Oh, yeah, take this, son. Magneton, use Flash Cannon!" His Magneton then used Flash Cannon, gathering all its light energy and released it as a silver beam of energy towards Litleo, striking it effectively. Upon seeing this light-flashing move, Rico was stunned in amazing.

"What?" he commented in stunning, "It's effective?" He then checked in his Pokédex; his Pokédex then responded, "Magneton, the Magnet Pokémon, and the evolved form of Magnemite. An Electric and Steel-type. It is actually three Magnemite linked by magnetism. A group can set off a magnetic storm."

"Wow, that's electrifying cool," Rico calmly commented upon hearing this. He then put his Pokédex down on his shoulder bag, and said to Lucas in coolness, "Well, daddy, that's a cool move you had. Oh, yeah, can you challenge the heat of my Litleo?" Then to Litleo in cool seriousness, "Litleo, use Flamethrower!" Getting up, Litleo stand up, and used Flamethrower, opening its mouth and used Flamethrower, scorching Magneton with an intense blast of fire, striking it very effectively, and eventually weakened it to the ground. Lucas was then stunned by this move.

"Magneton, don't give up!" he then responded to Magneton, "Quickly, use Flash Cannon!" When it's about to use Flash Cannon, Rico quickly commanded Litleo, "Quickly, use Ember!" Immediately, Litleo used, attacking Litleo with small flames, striking it so effective Magneton collapsed to the ground in fainting and exhaustion.

"Magneton is unable to battle," the referee announced, "Litleo wins." The entertainers then rang their instruments, one once and the another thrice.

"How's that hitting you?" Rico commented to Lucas in style. Litleo then responded in a confident style. Calling back his Magneton softly and calmly, Lucas briefly and softly responded, "Well, your smart, and your Pokémon is strong." He then put back his Pokeball in his smaller, red shoulder bag and get another one; while holding it firmly, he responded to Rico, "Oh, yeah, can you handle this?" He then called his Unfezant out, and it descended into battle. Upon seeing a new Pokémon, Rico asked in stunning, "I know that Pokémon before." He then checked in his Pokédex; his Pokédex then responded, " Unfezant, the Proud Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Pidove. A Normal and Flying-type. Males swing their head plumage to threaten opponents. The females' flying abilities surpass those of the males."

"Wow, that's awesome," Rico calmly commented in a rising speed.

"Awesome, isn't it?" Lucas responded in a cool style. Then to his Unfezant in seriousness, "Alright, Unfezant, use Gust!" His Unfezant then soared high and used Gust, whipping up a strong gust of wind, blowing Litleo like in a tornado. Litleo then tried its best to withstand it.

"You can do it, Litleo," Rico said to Litleo in seriousness, "Quickly, use Flamethrower!" Resisting the strong wind, Litleo opened its mouth and used Flamethrower, scorching Unfezant with an intense blast of fire, striking it effectively and make it dissipate the Gust.

"What the...?" Lucas responded in stunning, "Unfezant, don't give up!" His Unfezant, still up in the air, then snapped out from being attacked by Flamethrower, and then used Air Cutter, launching razor-like wind to slash Litleo, striking it with great power. Everyone who watches this are amazed by it, with Ben thinking, "Whoa, that's some great power." His Pichu then responded in stunning.

"Huh?" Rico responded in stunning and shock, "Don't give up, Litleo!" But Litleo fainted in exhaustion.

"Litleo is unable to battle," the referee announced, "Unfezant wins. One more Pokémon for Rico Titus." The entertainers then rang their instruments one thrice and the other once. Calling back his Litleo, Rico calmly and softly commented, "I guess you got me, daddy." He then put his Pokéball back to his Pokébelt and switched it to another one.

"Well," Rico seriously thought while holding the said Pokéball, "This is gonna be my last Pokémon to battle with. I can do this. I can pass this test." He then called his Pokémon, Piplup, and it stepped into battle.

"Ha! Do you think your Piplup can handle my mighty Unfezant?" Lucas responded in style upon seeing Piplup. His Unfezant then responded in seriousness. Piplup then responded in determination. Then, the battle began as the entertainers rang their instruments one twice and one twice.

"Alright, use Air Cutter!" Lucas seriously commanded Unfezant. His Unfezant then soared high and used Air Cutter, launching razor-like wind towards Piplup.

"Quickly, Piplup, use Bubblebeam!" Rico seriously commanded Piplup. Piplup then jumped high and used Bubblebeam, opening its beak and released a stream of blue bubbles at Unfezant, cutting through Air Cutter and struck Unfezant directly in effectiveness; Piplup then landed back to the ground in action. Unfezant then was weakened back to the ground, but gets up in standing.

"Whoohoo!" Ben exclaimed in cheering, "You can do it, Rico!" His Pichu then responded in happiness and cheering. Lucas was then stunned by Piplup's move, with him commenting, "What? That's strong!" Then to his Unfezant in seriousness, "Quickly, Unfezant, use Fly!" His Unfezant then use Fly, flying up at first, then charges towards Piplup in a very fast pace. Piplup then dodged it quickly and in alert. Lucas was then stunned at this quick movement while Rico smiled in style and confidence.

"Then use Bubblebeam!" Rico immediately commanded Piplup in coolness. Piplup then used Bubblebeam, opening its beak and released a stream of blue bubbles, striking Unfezant directly in effectiveness. Defeated by this, Unfezant fell to the ground and fainted in exhaustion.

"Unfezant is unable to battle," the referee announced, "Piplup wins, and the match goes to Rico Titus." The entertainers then rang their instruments, one once and one thrice. The audience then applause and cheered for them. Rico then rejoiced in victory and his Piplup jumped to him in embrace. Rosario and Ben then were happy at this. Calling back his Unfezant in calm, Lucas softly and calmly commented in positivity, "Well, you got me, Titus. That's a great battle. You really passed half of my test to you. I'm impressed."

"Really?" Rico replied in stunning and amazement. In response, Lucas nodded in agreement and in positivity.

"Yeah!!!" Rico exclaimed in loud response and in response. Everyone then became happy in happiness.

Meanwhile, at the forest that views the Soratas Mountains, Blue Ninja and his Greninja are meditating like ninjas. Blue Ninja then sensed what will happen in the future, and they're ready to strike them.
