Chapter 300 The Blinding Ligh

As Lu AnLung and Kang Jun got intimate, at the Tang House, Tang Yiling was annoyed and sulking.

That night, the Tang house was quiet. After Tang Yian and Tang Yiling had come home, Elder Tang had wanted to spend some time together but due to Tang Yian's worsening headache, the man had decided to sleep much earlier. Seeing that her father would not comfort her, and knowing that no one else in the Tang house would try to do this either, Tang Yiling had headed straight for her room, slamming the door shut behind her.

Once inside, Tang Yiling grabbed her pillow and screamed in it as thoughts of Lu AnLing flowed into her head.

How dare that bitch, Lu AnLing, speak to her life that!

How dare she think that she was better than her!

"Lu AnLing, you bitch, you might have married Kang Jun, but I know about your past. You're just a port adopted whore!" Tang Yiling said with complete annoyance

At this point, Tang Yiling was just externalizing her feelings. She was angry at Lu AnLing but it wasn't only because of what the girl had said, or because Lu AnLing had married Kang Jun but because of how seemingly kind Tang Yian had been towards her.

When Tang Yiling had seen the reaction that the man had had in Lu AnLing's presence, for some reason, Tang Yiling felt as if she was beginning to lose something and she didn't want that...

She would never allow that!

This new feeling in her erupted an urge to write. Taking her laptop, Tang Yiling began to write a new song.

Meanwhile, as Tang Yiling wrote, in his room, Tang Yian worries that he would not be able to find comfort in sleep due to how much pounding he felt in his head and ears but it only took seconds for him to fall into a deep slumber.

And as soon as he did, his mind wandered and the first thing that appeared in the pitch black darkness of his mind was a solitary figure.

The girl in his mind was young, barely a teenager and she was pure like snow.

But Tang Yian could not quite see her face no matter how much she approached... but the closer he got, the easier it was for him to make out their surroundings.

The girl sat in a run-down house with the smile of an angel as she sang a song which Tang Yian could not make out.

But then, when she suddenly turned to him, a bright white light flashed upon her face. Only her lips were not covered, and then, she spoke.

"..."

No words could be heard from her mouth. Other than her singing, the girl's actual voice seemed to have been erased from his mind.

But he could read lips,

"Father?" Tang Yian said with confusion, he then tried to approach again. "Yiling? Is that you?"

As soon as he said this, he could clearly see the girl frown in the blinding light.

She then stood up and began walking away from him. Then by her side appeared the familiar form of Lu Xiaoling. He saw her clearly but it was confusing to the man.

Why was this woman in his dreams?

But just as soon as she appeared, she took the hand of the little girl who had been singing and then the two walked away into the distance.

As soon as he understood what was going on, Tang Yian felt his heart sink and his whole body shake.

He didn't understand why this was happening to him, but before he had the chance to think about it, he ran towards the two and screamed,

"Wait! Don't take her away!" As he said those words something did not sound right, but he couldn't quite pinpoint what until his eyes began to water and he said, "Please... don't leave me!"

As soon as he said this, the two figures in the distance stopped and looked at him but he could still not see the girl's face. But right then, like a veil was being lifted, little by little he could see her. But this time she was older...

However before he could fully analyze the girl, the light seemed to blow up in his face.

"Little Siren..." Tang Yian said unconsciously as he awoke violently from his slumber.

Hearing himself speak, Tang Yian lifted himself up in bed before he paused to think. Touching the dripping sweat on his forehead, the man paused.

Little siren? Who or what was that?

Tang Yian's mind was in complete disarray as he wondered this...

He could slightly remember the girl in his dream but she was not fully visible. After the bright light had consumed his dreamscape, the only feature that came to mind was the girl's smile.

It was like a treasure and it was quite familiar to him but it did not help him with figure out who the girl was...

Little did the man know that the girl was Lu AnLing. As of yet the man was completely ignorant to this fact but somewhere in his heart he might have noticed, but his mind would not unlock all of his memories.

Sitting up in bed, Tang Yian held his aching head as he tried to break through the barrier in his mind but no matter how hard he tried, he could not remember.

When he was recovering he had remembered Tang Huian telling him that he didn't need to remember. That if it hurt him he could stay as is, but at this moment, Tang Yian felt as if this was impossible. He no longer wanted these splitting headaches and if remembering would free him from this endless pain, he would be glad to remember.

As he thought this, the sudden image of Lu AnLing and Lu Xiaoling appeared at the back of his mind and as he thought of them, something strange filled his heart.

It was warm but it was cold. It was love but it was painful... Tang Yian was conflicted but if there was something that he was sure of it was that both Lu Xiaoling and Lu AnLing were beautiful in his eyes and deep down in his heart he cared for them uniquely. He wanted to be by their side and be a family...

However, despite his heart's feelings, Tang Yian's mind thought this was wrong.

To begin with, they were strangers, and secondly, they had greatly offended both him and Tang Yiling. To the present Tang Yian, he could not accept this because, despite how much familiarity he felt with the, Lu Xiaoling and Lu AnLing were always going to be just strangers to him...

Or were they?

He wasn't quite sure anymore.

His whole mind and heart were conflicted and to make sure this stopped Tang Yian said,

"All he needed was my daughter... no one else."
