295 Protect The Flag!

Name:Path of the Lilies Author:Sorahana
With one order from Qi Huan, the man ran away. He could sense his back was covered with sweat. Even though it was just for a brief moment, he felt as if he was on the verge of death's door. Those three children were not ordinary.

Ye Jiao shook her head. "There's no need to do that, right?"

"He's trying to wound you, so this is a suitable punishment," Lu Wan snorted. "Besides, it's better to warn those kinds of people in case more people try to attack us."

"Right."

If not because of their constant training in the past with their master, Ye Jiao knew that she wouldn't be able to block that sudden attack. It was a good thing that their master often attacked them suddenly when they were unprepared, so they learnt to be always on guard every single time.

Clang!

The sound attracted the youngsters. Everyone turned their head, including the three of them. They could see Mr. Jing on the second floor. He swept his gaze to the youngsters before him with a faint smile on his lips.

"The second part of the competition will soon begin. In this part of the competition, you will have to protect your team flag. The division of the team is based on your master, meaning you can only be in the same team with your senior or junior disciple. No other team can be formed."

At this time, a disciple ran in their direction and handed out a blue flag. Lu Wan picked it and twisted it with his arm.

It was pretty sturdy.

"There will be only one group left once this competition ends. Once your flag is taken by another group, you only have 10 second to take it back before it's declared that you have lost. You may start NOW!"

The moment Mr. Jing said the word 'now' they started to move around. Their direction differed from one another, but a lot of them seemed to have a tacit understanding. They attacked Ye Jiao's group.

"Senior Brother Yu, please take care of the flag."

"Good luck, Yu Shen."

"Hey, what are you?' Lu Wan was stunned to see the other two suddenly sprinting in different directions. They didn't have any discussion before because they had just heard the rules and it suddenly began.

Seeing the numerous people aiming for him, Lu Wan wanted to cry.

'Damn them! Why don't you help me protect the flag?'

However, he didn't even have the time to curse at his senior brother and junior sister because there were a lot of youngsters who came to attack him.

Clang! Clang!

At that moment, Lu Wan summoned his blade and chain. He twisted it and sent it forward to block two attacks while evading the rest. His eyes were cold as he realized that they aimed for his vital point.

They were not inside that array anymore, so any wound to the vital points might spell their death.

Where in the world are the two brats?

"Don't bother searching for them," one of them said coldly. "They've already abandoned you."

Abandon?

Lu Wan felt the word was funny. He knew better than anyone that those two wouldn't leave him for no reason. In that split second before the competition began, they must have thought for a method to finish this part well. That would be the reason they left him as soon as the competition began.

"How kind of you to target us." Lu Wan chuckled. "Unfortunately, not a single one of you will be able to get out of here alive."

"You dare!"

One of them sprinted to Lu Wan. His blade was ready in his hand, intending to slice down the young man.

Clang! Slash!

Twisting the chain and blade, Lu Wan directed it to the man. He smiled brightly. "One down."

The man could see a large wound on his shoulder. His pupil constricted in fear. He couldn't follow the man's movements at all. It was as if the chain and blade have their own soul and could move even without Lu Wan's command.

In truth, it was just Lu Wan's agile hand. He practiced until he bled every single day because he didn't want to repeat the same mistake. Because of his incapability to use his weapon properly, he accidentally wounded his teammate. Since that time, he would make sure that he could control it properly even without Eon Energy.

This caused him to become exceptionally proficient in using the weapon.

Clang!

"How rude of you to attack me so suddenly," Lu Wan remarked. "Don't you know any manners?"

"You!"

Clang! Clang!

Lu Wan twisted his chain and blade to block the next round of attacks. These people surrounded him, trying to attack him from every direction, but they failed. His defense was so good that they were unable to break it.

"You shouldn't underestimate this weapon."

Pulling it to the back, he sent more force to the chain and blade.

Clang! Bam!

The one who was near the blade was pushed to the back with force. The others were relatively fine but their eyes showed worry. They had just found out that their attack amounted to nothing in front of Lu Wan.

Even one of them has fallen in his hand because of his remarkable ability.

Lu Wan smiled when he saw them hesitate. "Why are you just waiting like a little chick over there? I'm here."

"Do you really think that you can handle all of us?" one of them snapped.

"Then you should come here," Lu Wan played with the flag using his other hand. His lips curled up, showing a playful smile. "Don't you want the flag?"

"Get him!"

"I can't believe we won't be able to handle him."

In that moment, the group of men charged forward once more. They wanted to take the flag no matter what!

Clang! Clang! Clang!

While Lu Wan was busy fighting with the group of men, Ye Jiao and Qi Huan headed to a completely different group. In total, they were divided into four types of groups. First would be the group under the first master, the second would be the group under the second master, third would be their group, and fourth would be the group of people who were mostly individual.

Those five people that attacked them belonged to the first master and second group. If they wanted to win this, they should take the flag first.

Qi Huan headed towards the location of the first master's group. His eyes showed astonishment when he saw that there were still more than 3 people in that place. It was as if the number of the disciples itself was numerous, and it was not a problem for them to send out the disciples to attack their group.

"There's someone here!" one of them yelled.

"Go and handle him!"

"Got it!"

The man who yelled raised his large axe and swung it to Qi Huan's direction. Sensing it, Qi Huan swiftly changed his course and moved to the side. Just when he was about to attack with this sword, he sensed danger and moved back hurriedly. His eyes watched the group of men in front of him carefully.

"He's fast," the second man said warily. He sneak-attacked Qi Huan in the direction for the possible counterattack, but the man retreated instead.

"Yes, but it's not outside of our realm," the third man chuckled. His eyes glinted with maliciousness. "Let's finish him."

"Got it."

The second and third man moved to each side as they surrounded Qi Huan. Qi Huan took out his sword and looked at their direction calmly. This was not the first time he faced numerous people at once, so he didn't really mind it.

"Come at me."

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Series of metal clashes with one another followed soon after. They attacked ruthlessly towards Qi Huan's direction, hoping to gain advantage in their numbers. However, Qi Huan either parried their attack or blocked them perfectly.

'They're covering each other's weakness pretty well.'

He could see that they were trying to block his attack and at the same time, preventing him from doing any counterattack against them. It was to the point that he admired them too. After all, it was not easy to completely block his attack.

However…

"But this won't last long."

Clang!

He pushed one of them to the back and sprinted suddenly. His arm reached out and took the flag from behind the third man.

"You-!"

"Bastard!"

The men cursed and tried to take the flag back as Qi Huan dashed away. He played with the flag with his hand as he chuckled.

"You may have good teamwork, but you're clearly not used to protecting something while attacking."

Qi Huan looked to the wandering people around him. Now, it was the time to sweep them.
