137 Chapter 136: You should reject her

Name:Part Wolf Author:obsessedWithWolves
Her black hair shone in the setting rays of the sun. He couldn't help but smile at her as she looked up at him with child-like enthusiasm. Elize's gray eyes widened as he drew her close to him. Her lips parted slightly as a gasp escaped her mouth. Zack was unable to resist the temptation in front of him, that was his mate. It was quite difficult for him to let go of her when Nina had interrupted their makeout session in the infirmary. He had watched her train with awe as she finished the relay first, beating all her batchmates to it. Zack had heard from Jin about how she had surpassed everyone easily during the previous day's combat practice. His heart swelled with pride as he looked at the girl in his arms. He leaned in to kiss her parted lips, eager to taste her again. But before his lips touched hers, her hands flew up to cover her mouth. He ended up kissing the back of her hand.

Zack leaned back, chuckling. He shook his head, shaking his finger at his mate. Elize slowly retreated her hand from her mouth, revealing a shy smile.

"So, you promise that you won't sneak in behind me?" She asked, raising her brows.

Zack's mouth turned up into a mischievous smile. Elize had told him that she wanted to go to the town on her own. Some of her batchmates were getting together for a party, and she desperately wanted to go, but she wasn't sure that he'd let her go alone. It was because he had told her that she had to inform him every time that she went somewhere outside the academy premises.

After what had happened the last time that she had gone out, Zack was scared that something might happen to her again. Elize had agreed to the conditions without any complaints, even agreeing that she'd take either him or Nina whenever she went out from now on. And now his mate suddenly wanted to go to the party on her own. She even came up with an excuse that seniors were not allowed. He had no plans to let her go on her own. Knowing that Agatha and Legolas would be accompanying her made him feel better, but he didn't let it show. It was the perfect opportunity for him to tease her a bit.

"Hmmm.. let's see. What do I get in return?" He asked, gently brushing aside her hair from her neck.

Elize shivered under his touch. But she quickly bit her lips to suppress her gasp. Zack took pleasure in seeing the effect his touch had on her. Grabbing his hand in a tight grip, she looked at him with a sly smile.

"I'll show you my favorite book." She said, looking desperate.

He scrunched his face in protest. What would he do seeing Elize's books? He had no interest in such things whatsoever. Zack could hear her heart starting to beat fast, seeing his expression. Watching her getting more desperate excited him. It just meant that he had more leverage, he thought gleefully.

Elize's eyes widened in shock, quickly interrupting him, "Hush! They're watching!" She said, nodding towards Lang Jin and Nina standing at a distance, smiling at them. Behind them were a group of her classmates, staring at them with their mouths wide open.

Zack laughed as her face turned red with embarrassment. It was so much fun to tease her like this- he thought to himself.

"Haha. Fine." He said, straightening up. "I'll see what I can get from you tonight."

Elize gasped, pushing at his chest quickly, looking flustered. He let her go, as she turned away from him and ran towards Nina. Zack looked at the graceful pace of his mate as she jogged towards his packmate. She was one magnificent creature, Zack thought, sighing happily. After a quick chat with Nina, Elize took off hastily towards the exit, dragging her friend along with her.

"Okay, bye!" She called out as she waved without looking at him. "I'll see you after the party! I love you!"

Zack chuckled, seeing her actions. He couldn't believe that his bold mate had become shy all of a sudden. It was his first time seeing her act like this, and Zack couldn't be happier. Elize had brought into his life a light that he thought never existed. Her every word and every action resounded deep within his heart, making his yearning for her grow strong.

"I love you too, babe." He shouted towards her as her figure retreated from the ground.

He turned around towards his cousin as he heard approaching footsteps. Lang Jin had a worried look on his face as he came to stand next to him. Zack knew why he looked troubled. He knew because he felt the same inside.

"You sure that it's safe to let her go alone?" Jin asked, nodding towards the place where Elize disappeared. "We haven't heard anything from our people back in Singapore. We don't know where grandfather is."

"It's okay," Zack replied with a wink. "Mikail is coming over today with Heidi. I guess I'll ask him to meet me at the same club."

Jin raised his brows in confusion. "But you just told her that-"

Zack laughed, wrapping a hand around his cousin's shoulder.

"Oh, cmon Jin." He whispered, with a roguish smile. "Technically speaking, I'm not sneaking in behind her. I'm going there for pack business."

Lang Jin shook his head at him disappointedly, clucking his tongue.

"Poor girl has to deal with an overbearing Alpha like you." He said, mocking him playfully.

Zack pushed his Jin lightly, earning a shove with the same force. The cousins pulled each other's legs, laughing as the two walked away from the ground. As their laughter filled the air, heads turned to their direction, with onlookers staring at the handsome cousins with awe. It didn't bother Zack at all. He had gotten used to such looks for a long time. Instead, he concentrated on teasing Jin- his brother whom he cherished more than anyone else in his family. Their bond was unbreakable, with his cousin always being supportive of his every action. Zack and Jin also shared their wariness of their grandfather- something that tied them together. As they were about to reach the exit of the ground, Zack stopped, turning around, hearing approaching footsteps. It was one of the girls from Elize's batch. If he remembered right, she was one of the girls who hung around Eun Ae all the time. He wondered why she had approached him.

"Hey, Zack." She said, stopping right in front of him.

The girl had a nervous look about her that she tried her best to hide. But he could easily spot it underneath her flirtatious smile.

Zack nodded in acknowledgment. "Yeah? What is it?" He asked, his expression suddenly turning serious.

The girl blushed, shyly tucking her hair behind her ear. She started, "I am-"

"I know who you are," Zack said, cutting her off. "What do you have to say?"

His reply suddenly made her flustered. Her smile faltered, only to be replaced by a timid expression. Zack tied his hands over his chest, maintaining a blank look. His reputation for being intimidating came to use during situations like this, he thought.

"I heard you and Elize talking just now." The girl replied nervously, taking a step backward.

Zack snickered. "Were you eavesdropping on us, pup?" He asked, looking at the girl suspiciously. There was a dangerous glint in his eyes as he leaned toward the girl with narrowed eyes.

"No, no!" She quickly said, shaking her head vigorously. "I just heard you guys while I was passing by, and I couldn't help but feel annoyed."

"About what?" Zack asked, looking down on her with a curious smile.

The girl sighed. Looking away from him, she said, "I- I know that you and Elize are mates, but you should know that she's not exactly who you think she is."

"Ohh?" He asked, suppressing a chuckle.

"I think....." She trailed off, looking unsure. Taking a deep breath, she looked right into his eyes and said, "I think you should reject her."

"Amy! I think you should stop!" Lang Jin shouted, looking furious.

He stepped forward, raising his hand at the girl. Zack was quick to get hold of his cousin's hand before it could land the blow. Jin turned to him, looking confused. Zack shook his head with a reassuring smile.

"I-" The girl called Amy faltered backward.

Dread was all over her face as she looked at Jin. Zack slowly turned to Amy with a smile. There was a glint of amusement on his face, mixed with irritation.

"Let her speak, Jin," Zack said, keeping his eyes fixed on Amy. "I want to know what kind of person Elize really is. Tell me, pup, what did she do? Should I be concerned?" He asked, raising his brows.
