"Are you guys sure that we have come to the right place? I see more nudity than food." Elize said, looking around with her mouth wide open.

The trio were standing in one corner of a large hall, teeming with hundreds of supernatural beings. Now that the formal function was done with, many had removed their cloaks, showing off their skin in revealing attires. They were all moving around in groups of three or more, or sometimes even as couples, their hands and mouth often lingering to places that Elize wished she didn't know about. The air had a highly charged sensual feel to it. She felt like she'd been transported to a censored version of a fantasy porn movie, just with a lot of food and drinks going around.

Legolas and Agatha had removed their cloaks as well. The elf was in a loose white shirt tucked into his black slim cut pants. There was a long cut in the front of his shirt running from his chest to the naval, revealing a finely toned body inside. His ethereal looks were attracting quite a few gazes as they stood there. The witch on the other hand had on a tiny red dress, contrasting with her straight blond hair and her pale skin. She too was receiving a lot of attention, making Elize uncomfortable, standing along with the two. Compared to them, she was feeling like a potato. She consoled herself by remembering that she had come to the event solely for the food. She clutched her cloak around her tightly and sighed.

"Let's eat up while we can. This only happens on special occasions." Agatha said, pointing towards the pure white china stacked on the one end of the buffet table.

Elize nodded, diverting her attention from the people to the more important things. They were standing at the beginning of a long table, with a huge variety of foods spread out. She could see that each time someone had taken food out of a container, it magically re-filled itself. Her mouth watered as the aroma of the food wafted towards her. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking in the heavenly scent. Her heart sank as she looked ahead at the slow moving queue of students beside the table. With a sigh, she moved towards the place along with her friends.

"Yeah, the rest of the days we're stuck with cafeteria food." Legolas said, handing out plates to the girls. Joining the long queue for food, he continued, "Not that I'm complaining with their choice of fast foods but if I had a choice, I'd opt for this lavish spread every single day."

"Where is Irina by the way? I haven't seen her all night." She asked, biting into the juicy portion of a chicken leg.

"The staff dine in a different room- school policies and all." Agatha said, dipping her meat in curry.

"Ohh.."

"Who's Irina?" Legolas asked, raising his brows.

"Our best friend!" The girls answered in unison.

"You sure know a lot of people here." He said, laughing.

Agatha had opened her mouth to say something when, someone cleared their throat from behind. The girls turned back, only to find a group of elves staring down at them coldly. There were at least ten of them- both girls and boys. Standing in front was a girl in a dark blue dress, its cloth so fine that Elize could see through the material that she was only wearing a thin white underwear beneath. She looked like a supermodel, with her perfect body and sharp features. Her eyes were strangely purple in color, emitting a cold aura.

"Legolas, what are you doing here?" The girl asked with narrowed eyes.

"I'm having dinner with my friends, if you didn't notice already Aerin." Legolas replied lazily.

Elize looked back and forth the two. She didn't understand what was going on, but she definitely didn't want to get in the way of a jealous girlfriend. She certainly gave off the very vibes.

"These low borns are your friends?!" The girl called Aerin spat.

"What did you call us?" Agatha asked, suddenly getting up from her chair.

Elize was shocked. Low borns?! Who used such terms in this century?! And why did the girl call them low borns? What was she- the princess of Arendale or something? Although she was drop dead gorgeous she had no right to call people names! Elize thought irritated. She could see that her friend was annoyed. And she knew that whoever the elves were, they should just scram before the witch lost it. She had seen her lose control before, and it was not a pretty picture for those on the other side.

Aerin's one eyebrow rose arrogantly as she took a side way glance at Agatha. "Do I look like I engage in conversations with the likes of you?" She asked with a humph.

"You-" Agatha raised her hand at the girl, losing her control.

Elize got up from her chair, scared that the witch would cast a spell on the she elf. The image of the scary disciplinary committee flashed in her mind. She definitely didn't want her friend to get in trouble with them. In the blink of an eye, Legolas appeared next to Agatha and grabbed her hand before Elize could reach her friend. He quickly pushed the witch behind him, holding her in place with a tight grip on her hand before she could even protest. Elize's first reaction was to pull her friend away from him. But the pleading look he shot her, reassured her of his intentions. She sat back in her seat, turning to glare at the bunch of intruders.

Facing the girl in blue, Legolas warned, "You better take back what you said wench."

The she elf scoffed at the threat, unaffected by it. Elize wondered what their relationship was with each other. The girl seemed to be quite annoyed at the fact that Legolas was hanging out with girl. Or was it because they were not elves? She thought, taking a glance at Legolas.

"Did I say something wrong?" Aerin asked with a shrug. "Or would you now try to convince me that these short things are royals of some sort?"

Elize was taken aback by what the girl had said. "Hey! I'm five six! That's not short! You're way too tall you freak!" She shouted.

Before the girl could even respond to that, Legolas spoke up, his face twisted in anger. "You better scram Aerin, before I make you regret that you ever joined this academy."

He did look pretty scary like that, Elize thought looking at her new friend.

"Father will surely hear of this Legolas. Don't think that you'll get away from this easily." Aerin spat. Turning towards Elize she said, "You and your friend better chose wisely. It's either your friendship with Legolas or this academy. I'll make sure to get you kicked out if ou choose the former."

"You can try." Elize replied with a smirk.

Upon hearing that, the she elf's face distorted angrily, her pointed ears suddenly looking more like horns more than anything else. With an irritated glare, she spat, "All of you will regret this. Mark my words!"

Saying that, she turned and walked away. The group of elves followed behind her hastily, but not before shooting nasty glares at the trio. Elize turned her attention back to Legolas. He still had a tight grip on Agatha's hand, staring at the group of elves walking away. The witch was looking up at the back of his head absentmindedly. What was up with her friend? Elize thought.

"Legolas?" She asked.

The elf sighed, turning around towards her. With an apologetic look, he let go of Agatha's hand. The witch didn't budge from her place. She was still looking at the elf with a distracted expression. Elize could see that the spot on her friend's hand which the elf had grabbed was reddened.

"I'm sorry Elize." Legolas said. "Aerin can be a bit too much sometimes."

The mention of the girl's name from the elf's mouth seemed to wake Agatha up. "Who is she?" She asked, rubbing her hand.

"Yeah who is she? Your girlfriend?" Elize asked, raising her brows.

Legolas chuckled. "Aerin is my twin sister." Pausing, he added, "She's a bit spoiled."

"One would never guess." Elize said sarcastically. "And what's her deal? What did she mean by calling us low borns?"

"Don't mind her."Legolas said awkwardly. "Father had spoiled her way too much over the years. She thinks anyone not born into noble families are low borns. I don't know where she got her arrogance from. Both our parents are such kind peop-"

"Noble families? Are you from a noble family?" Agatha asked, surprised.

"You could say that my dad is quite the hotshot among the nobles of our kingdom. Not a big deal." He replied dismissively. Putting on a huge grin he asked, "Now who's up for dessert?"
