The wedding day had arrived, and so the nobles were gathering in the outskirts of the kingdom to celebrate the union of two young lovers, in a celebration that would go down as one of the biggest tragedies of the century. In an expensive suit, I waited for the wedding to start inside my dressing room, with a smile on my face, soon everything would fall into place, the nobles would die, and the Re-Estize Kingdom would be mine.

Sebas by my side, made sure every little detail was perfect, from the monsters that would attack the venue after Renner said, I do, to the timing of the attack, where I would sit down, and enjoy the show my loyal servants were about to offer.

"You brother arrived, Mael-sama," Sebas informed me.

"Good," I smiled, so it has begun.

Walking out of the dressing room, I started to greet the nobles as I made my way to Pandora, who was now playing the role of my brother. "Alastor, so good of you to join, I almost thought you were going to bail on me,"

"I almost did," Pandora smiled, doing a pretty damn good impression of me, "But… it is not every day my brother marries, so… here I am,"

"Right, right," I chuckled, as I eyed Gazef approaching us.

"Alastor Morningstar, or was it just Alastor?" Gazef greeted Pandora with a warm smile, making a reference to the fact I had refused to give him a last name the first time we met.

"I am a man of many enemies, Captain," Pandora smiled, his eyes closed as he turned to face the captain, "A name in my business is nothing but a target, so I aim to keep my brother safe, even from people like you,"

"HAHAHAHA," Gazef laughed, "I understand, I was just messing with you, I apologize if what I say came out as a rude comment." Looking at me and then at Pandora, Gazef smiled fondly, "Is good to see brothers taking care of each other,"

"Now, if you'll excuse me. I saw someone putting a shrimp fountain over there, so… bye~" Pandora said, walking towards the food.

"Well, I am off, I need to guard the King, and mingle a bit," Gazef bowed, taking his leave, "I also have to thank your brother for saving me," you could've started from that… but whatever.

As Gazef walked away, disappearing into the crowd, Barbro Andrean Ield Ryle Vaiself, the heir to throne, approached me, with a condescending smile. "Mael, don't you think this is a good time to hand me control over your assets," poor little human, if only you knew what awaited for you after this wedding, if only you knew… you wouldn't be wasting time talking with me, you would be killing yourself to avoid the fate I have in store for you.

"It would, but considering it is you we are talking about, I want to make sure everything is perfect." I replied, playing with his ego. "If I do this now, and then marry your sister, people will remember this day as my wedding, but if I do it after the I do, when everyone will be looking at me… you will be the very essence of what they remember, the moment the groom… said, the prince and heir is what matter."

"I like the way you think, keep at it, and you will be rewarded, servant." Barbro smiled, and I had to contain myself from ripping his head right there, not because I was afraid of ruining my plan, but because… killing him with a single strike was too merciful for him. Also, I had wasted a lot of time planning this Game Of Thrones type of shit, and I wanted to see it play out, what can I say, I have a love for theatrics, and blood now apparently.

"I do what I do, for the sake of the one true king," Me.

"And that is why you are slightly above others," Barbro chuckled, "Well, I am off to talk with father, please do make the speech about me… dashing, I want it to be remembered," oh prince, it will.

A few hours passed, and the time had come. Renner was walking through the path of golden flowers, made out of gold, with the King by her side, the music was playing and every noble was sitting right. where. I. wanted. "You look beautiful," I whispered as Renner reached the altar.

"You too," Renner replied, playing her part, not that she needed, I am fucking liquid fire, thank you very much.

As the priest started his very long speech, I witnessed how the assassins and monsters under my command moved around the venue undetected, and when the time to say I do came, after Renner said her I do, I smiled and said, "No," I never wanted to marry her, no… My plans with time had changed, my ideas morphed and adapted to my whims, and now the wedding needed to happen, not because I needed it to happen, but because I wanted to witness the carnage that was about to begin.

"What is the meaning of this?!" The King shouted.

"Let there be carnage," I smiled, giving the signal for the attack.

All it takes is one second, to turn a beautiful afternoon, worthy of enjoying with a warm tea, into a gory endeavor, the monsters started to attack, killing the nobles and everyone in the vicinity, head rolled down, and screams filled the venue, decorating the white halls with a beautiful red that soothed me.

By my side, Renner laughed, witnessing the death of her family with a wide maniacal grin, and I couldn't blame her, this sight… was one worthy to behold, the sight of carnage, utter bloodshed, was art in the purest sense, the fear in their faces, the screams of agony and looks of despair as they realized there was no escape, it truly nurtured my soul, in the darkest way possible.

"Dance puppets, dance!" I shouted to the skies, as the blood ran freely through the sacred sanctity of the church. "Dance for me!"
