In the biggest room of my mansion, there was my room, on it, I sat on my bed, taking my clothes off, after a long day of politics. I wanted to rest, it had been a very long day, but everything was for the sake of conquering this kingdom. For the sake of Nazarick. Many would question my methods, and I can't blame them, after all, with power alone, I could've taken this kingdom in less than an hour, but Ainz was right, I had no idea what this world had, at least, not entirely, for all I knew… there could be someone stronger than us, I hadn't read all the novels, but who knew what the author had in mind for the ending, maybe he wanted Ainz to die, and in that case, I had to keep a low profile, at least for a bit.

On my bed, I pondered over the next few steps of my plan, after the wedding that now had a date, I would stage an attack on the kingdom with a few, disposable demons, in the attack, both the princes and the King would die, leaving me as the King by marriage.

Of course, that was plan A, plan B was also in motion, which was basically instigating a riot of biblical proportions, the poor were angry, and how could they not, nobility here was impressively more corrupted than the politics in my world, and so, they hate the nobles, and they hated the King, a man who was blind to the situation of his country, to the rotten roots the nobles had in it, with that in mind, I  had started to move a few pieces around these game of thrones, helping the poor and gaining their adoration, in any scenario, I would get the crown, it was all a matter of time.

As for the princess, well, she was useful, a rather dull lady, with even duller goals, but a useful pawn nonetheless, and I treated my pawns with care, so as long as she continued to serve, I would keep her alive.

As for her… love interest, it was intriguing to see how she acted around him, I doubt she knows what she feels for him, all I know is that what she feels is not love, well… maybe it is, but unlike most would think, she cares for him as someone would care for a dog or a cat, I have to be honest, at times it surprises me how blind the poor human is to her real self, but then I remember, that in the eyes of love… everyone is blind.

As for her intentions with him, it was clear she wanted to live an illusion with him, she wanted to be immortal, and she wanted him to be immortal too, I knew that's all she wanted, and that she would do anything to do it, now that I think about it, I haven't really thought about what race I am going to turn her, maybe an angel, wouldn't that be ironic, then again... I was quite the ironic case myself.

[How's the wedding going?] Ainz inquired.

[Good, I marry the girl next month, and the kingdom is mine the following month] I replied.

[Well.. you move fast] Ainz chuckled.

[I suppose, how is your adventurer life?] I asked.

[Is… going fine, not as fast as you, but I am gathering some useful information] Ainz sighed.

[Ok, let me know if you find anything substantial, I will take a nap] I said.

[I will take care, Al.] Ainz replied.

[You too, Momon] I chuckled, closing the chat, I had to rest before going on my nightly charity walk, where I was getting the support of the poor people.

[Kaire POV]

For weeks, there were no clues where to find this Alastor guy, it was as if the world itself had swallowed him, and then… rumors started to spread, about a man who was related to him, his twin brother, Mael, the betrothed to the princess of the Re-Estize kingdom, if someone knew where to find the man we were looking for, it was him, and with that in mind, we acted accordingly, infiltrating inside the kingdom.

"Our sources indicate, Mael is this way," I pointed to the map.

"And what is our plan? Do we just ask him where he is?" Beaumarchais asked with a yawn.

"Yes, and if his answer is unsatisfactory… we'll kidnap him," If Mael didn't want to tell us where his brother was, we would lure his brother with him, blood is thicker than water, some say… and by that connection, we would lure our prey out.

"I see," Cedran nodded.

"You guys won't need me for this, right?" Zesshi asked, her tone depicting how bored she was.

"Zesshi, we are all together on this mission, so behave," The Captain scolded her.

"Fine," Zesshi shrugged.

If it wasn't because this child was a monster, a force of unstoppable proportions… she would've been executed a long time ago for her way to tackle things, always bored and uninterested, and at the same time, ready to betray the Slane Theocracy should anyone defeat her, for her only goal is to breed with the strongest warrior of them all. "Good, now let's move… our sources say he will be in the slums tonight, so we have to be there." Soon, Alastor would be ours.

[Alastor POV]

All you needed to become a God in the eyes of the poor, was a few pieces of gold, and some poetic words, for the poor people of Re-Estize, I was the Messiah, and all I had to do… was give them some help, this shows how bad the corruption in this kingdom is, that in a few days, my popularity is higher than that of the king himself.

"Thank you, thank you," A woman wearing rags cried, as she carried her clearly malnourished daughter tight in her arms, "Thank you for all of this," she was kissing my hands in devotion, and it was all because I healed her daughter and gave her some coin.

"I live to help, miss," I smiled, giving her a few extra coins. Maybe I was a monster now, but I was a monster with principles, humans as disgusting as they are in nature, don't deserve such fate, some of them are worthy of salvation, and I would be the one to pick those few.

As I continued to give gold to the poor, I felt something, fourteen presences approaching my location, one of them, abnormally strong, the rest…. The rest were average. "Well, it seems I have a date tonight," I smiled, as I ordered Sebas to hide and let things play out.

Taking a detour from my charitable run, I waited on a desolated place for those mysterious presences to arrive. It took them a while, but they managed to get to where I was in about fifteen minutes.

"Mael Morningstar, right?" I looked at the old lady who had talked and smiled.

"I am," I nodded.

"We are looking for your brother, do you know where to find him?" Well, ain't that interesting, they are looking for me… well, I'll play.

"My brother is a free soul, most of the time, I don't know where he is," I replied with a shrug.

"I see," the old lady sighed, "Take him," Wowee, fun.
