Chapter 63 - NOT EDITED YET

Ryden positioned and hid himself at a taller building around the bar that his wife has opened

With him being in a high position, he would find it easier to spot where the thugs would possibly come from

He is eager to finish the job so that he would received his reward from his wife

It's just that, even after an hour from the opening, the thugs still did not arrive. After all, the intelligence report that they received from Kervy did not have a specified time

How would they possibly know at what time the thugs would arrive to make some trouble, right?

As such, Ryden's boredom starts eating him though his eyes and senses were still as alert as before

After all, Ryden still lived his life in the battlefield in this world

His body still remembers all the thing that it had ever experience and when Ryden is expecting an enemy to arrive, his senses would work at its maximum

An hour and a two has passed after the bar opening but there is still no signs of the thugs but instead, Ryden suddenly notices that the lights coming from the bar seems to have been turned off and a bad feeling aroused in his heart

The intelligence report said that the Duke hired common thugs to make a commotion outside the bar. With the security in the bar, no ordinary thugs could possibly enter the bar's premises and even turning off all the lights

Although Ryden is not as intelligent as his wife, when he decided to make his mind works, he can still guess some things

Now that a commotion happened inside the bar Kervy's intelligence report was either false or there was another person that wants to ruin the business

However, the business is the last thing in Ryden's mind right now. He doesn't know why but he have a bad feeling about this

His heart suddenly becomes anxious and he was worried for Clyde

As a result, Ryden didn't even think much before jumping down the tall building he was in

It was fortunate that although the building he was on earlier was considered tall in this world, in earth's standards it still wasn't really high

If Ryden were to jump down from skyscraper, even with his body, he would still die

But since the building he was on was not a skyscraper, he managed to land safely and he immediately charged into the bar

The security guards weren't even able to catch him with his speed

Ryden's swift movements enabled him to run passed the crowd in no time

The visibility is almost zero but since Ryden's eyes were trained from the battlefield wherein enemies can still come even at night, he can see much better than the pompous Nobles around him

He did not found the person he eas looking for and he decided to head back in the place where he left Clyde and turns out that was the wisest decision he ever had

In the staff room, Clyde can be seen surroundied by five black cloaked assassins

Around Clyde were vines that puts the enemy at bay

The assassins are also professional but they didn't know that Clyde can use magic and a bit skillful at that

Because of the surprise element, Clyde managed to kill one of the assassins making the others cautious if they don't want to be the next victime

However, as assassins, the remaining five knows that time is if the essence. Before anyone were to arrive and help their target, they should finish the job as soon as possible 

The assassin stared at each other before they went to attack Clyde at the same time

The omega wielded the vines he grew from the ground and he controlled them to whip the assassins

The only thing that Clyde was thankful for being a child of the Duke was the magic passed on their bloodline

Without it, Clyde might have died the moment the assassins first attacked him

It's just that since he was always busy and prior to returning to the Empire, he never trained his magic power that much, it causes his skills to be mediocre

The magic he inherited from his ancestors were powerful but he lacked practice. He only decided to train from time to time so that he could have a means to protect himself when Ryden is not around 

He didn't expect that it would come in handy the very night that he opened his bar as if someone deliberately planned to try and kill him when Ryden is not present

With the help of the whips, Clyde managed to push back most of the assassins. He was not able to kill thrm but he at least brought himself some time

However, one sneaky assassin still managed to dodge Clyde's magic

With a dagger in his hand, the assassin attacked the omega from behind

Clyde did not expect that and his eyes went wide open from the pain as he can feel himsel getting stab at the back

His pained expression was the first thing that Ryden saw after reaching the staff room and his killing intent exploded

Ryden releases the most suffocating killing intent he ever had to the point that even the professional assassins was stoned into their place

They can feel their breath being stuck at their throats. It was hard for them to even just breath much less move

In a flash, Ryden arrived at the assassin that stabbed his wife and kicked him away causing the knife to fall out

Fortunately, although the assassin managed to stab Clyde, it was not deep enough to be fatal

One by one, Ryden unleashed his fury to the assassins and it did not even takr a minute before he managed to kill them with his sword

Only then did he check on his wife that was now leaning into the wall for support

"Y-you… are you alright?!" Ryden asks in worry as he can also smell the scent of blood in Clyde's body

If he was even a single second late, Clyde might have died already. It filled him with dread and Ryden was about to take Clyde to see a doctor but the man stops him

"W-wait, im fine!" Clyde assured his husband although he was suffering from pain

Fortunately, his illness back on earth was also painful and he can take this level of pain for some times

"There's no time to waste, I have to take you to a doctor!" Ryden said in urgency and although this was not the time, Clyde still can't hell but roll his eyes

"You are a doctor!" Clyde said, reminding Ryden of that fact

It seems like this man was too engrossed with being the 6th Prince that he forgot his previous expertise

Sure enough, Ryden had a realization in his face. Indeed! He was also a doctor and although his specialty was the human disgestive tract as he was a gastroenterologist, it's not like taking care of a stab wound is out of his capabilities 

"T-then let's hurry before you lose too much blood!" Ryden said but Clyde shook his head

"The a-assasins m-made quite a commotion. I have to fix it. Make the bleeding stop first before you fully treat me later!" Clyde said

He worked really hard to open this bar but if it was known thag in the opening night, assassin arrives, wouldn't that make him out of business?

Clyde is unwilling to let his business fail and since he can feel that the wound he sustained was not that deep, he wants to fix the problem of the bar first

"Are you insane? You were stabbed and is currently bleeding and the only thing in your mind is the bar?! Your life is more precious than just a fucking bar!" Ryden exploded and although Clyde was glad that Ryden was showing this much concern for him, he still has to do what he has to do

"This is not life threatening, just stop the bleeding first!" Clyde insisted but in this type of scenario, Ryden would not listen to him

"No" Ryden refuses and Clyde still wants to resist when another person entered the staff room

"Brother, brother in law, what happened here?" Kervy asks as soon as he saw the dead bodies of the assassins

After he arrives, Ryden immediately glared at him

"Your intelligence was wrong! No thugs arrives but assassins! I almost lose my wife because of you!" Ryden said angrily

If he was not starting to treat Clyde's stab wound by tearing part of his clothes and applying pressure into the wound after using some wine to sanitize his hand and clothes, he might have punched Kervy already

The alcohol in the wine would make the wound hurt more but Ryden is too worried for that

Kervy is innocent in this matter. He indeed only knows about the thugs and he does not know that there would be assassins that will come
