A gunshot.

The Howling Celestial Dog crouched and obediently pulled out a cell phone from his denim suit.

Sun Lanxiang was controlling the rage inside her. “Why would I need a cell phone?”

Ning Tao answered, “To call the police. I have treated you people so badly and overstepped the mark. Why shouldn’t you call the police?”

“Release her!” Sun Pingchuan was mad with rage. He had thought they could easily capture Ning Tao, but did not expect to lose his magic tool, the erhu, in the process. Not only had he not seized Ning Tao’s elixir prescription and killed the man, his granddaughter had been taken hostage!

Ning Tao surveyed his surroundings and suddenly said in a loud voice, “The elixir prescription is with me. Come and take it! Do you think you are capable of that? Let me tell you, dream on! I’m leaving now. I will kill whoever dares move!”

Although the others were not aware of it, Ning Tao had already detected several “lanterns”. Even without much guesswork, judged solely from their skin color and armed equipment, he could tell they were scouts from the Black Fire Company. Ning Tao said, “Very simple. Your granddaughter leaves with me. If even one of you comes after us, I will blast her brain out.”

Sun Pingchuan growled angrily, “I dare you to!”

Ning Tao suddenly smashed the pistol butt on Sun Lanxiang’s head and there was a dull thud. There was an immediate wound on Sun Lanxiang’s head, bleeding profusely!

One of these fearless warriors seized the opportunity and pulled the trigger while Ning Tao was hitting Sun Lanxiang’s head with the pistol butt.

A bullet flew out and hit the back of Ning Tao’s head.

But Ning Tao was wearing the Heavenly Gem Magic Garment hood. Although it seemed to be only shielding him from wind and snow, its real purpose was to protect him from such ambush shots.

Ning Tao snickered. “You lay a trap here, not only trying to seize my elixir prescription but also trying to kill me. And you call me shameless? Alright, so I am. What can you do to me?”

This dog was so arrogant because of its master!

But Sun Pingchuan could only endure it.
