Chapter 6 - Hide And Go Die(5)

"What a truly pleasant suprise this is, what seems to have brought you here, my dear visitors."

His voice was sultry and low yet he aura spelled of fatal danger and death.

The conductor stood smiling in front of Chu Yi, amusement singing through the shadows on his face.

Chu Yi eyes bored into him, trying to make out his face through the smoky shadows blurring his features.

He was destined to disappointment though as nothing could be made out, only the amusement at the bottom of the conductors eyes growing deeper.

Tch.

Chu Yi wasn't terrified in the least and in fact took a step back into the room as if inciting the conductor into entering the room with him.

And as expected the conductor took the bait.

With deathly shadows trailing behind, the conductor walked into the clean room, The door slamming harshly behind him.

The room was silent. It seemed that since the moment Chu Yi entered into this survival game he had been met with many bouts of speechless silence.

This one however was particularly uncomfortable and Chu Yi felt himself tense at the feeling of danger that shrouded the room in a instant.

This silence would have probably lasted much longer if it wasnt for the abrupt feeling of something wrapping around his leg.

It wasnt slimy or unpleasant, instead it left a warm feeling on his leg, like a hot pack in the freezing cold of winter.

Eyes downcast, Chu Yi'e made contact with the bloody tendril that had somehow crawled onto his leg while he had been having a stare off with the conductor.

For some reason, he could tell that it was the same tentacle that had left a bloody wound on Wu Xin's leg just a moment ago and he could also tell that this thing was acting coquettish to him.

How ?

By the way this thing started to let out short squeals reminiscent of a gerbil. It wasn't unpleasant as per say, just somewhat unexpected. It arched charmingly along Chu Yi's leg, rubbing itself along his shin.

Chu Yi stared interestingly at the little thing for a solid moment before unexpectedly bending down and picking it up.

Huh-

There was a short gasp, presumably from the fat light bulb that still roamed within their presence but unlike with Wu Xin, there was no corrosive liquid to borrow into his flesh and bones, neither was there the disgusting smell of burning flesh.

Instead the little tendril let out a few happy squeaks before burying himself into Chu Yi's arm, turning quiet in comfort.

Hiding in the corner, Zhong Feng stared at the dangerous bloody tendril and thought,

'Why does it seem so much like a cat'

Zhong Feng hurriedly shook the absurd thought out of his head. Even if it was a cat, he still wasnt courageous enough to touch it.

Under this weird atmosphere.

The conductor was the first to speak u.

"It seems the little thing had taken quite a liking to you. Like owner , like pet."

Chu Yi suddenly glared at the conductor, something about the way the conductor spoke sounded strangely frivolous and flirty. It made him want to strangle someone.

"Well Mr. Conductor, at least Little Red is ten times more pleasant to look at than the idiot hiding behind his shadows like a coward."

The conductor chuckled happily, he seemed to find Chu Yi's anger amusing but changed the topic quickly in order to pacify the angry little thing.

"Well dear passenger, you havent told me as yet why you're here sneaking around the Conductors Room without the owners permission"

"Is it against the rules?."

"Well no."

"Then shut up."

There was blatant annoyance in Chu Yi's tone and even he, himself couldnt finger out why he had become so brash and childish.

Just something about the conductor both excited and angered him.

It was a complex emotion and-

Emotion.

Chu Yi suddenly paused in shock.

Head snapping towards the man in front of him.

This type of anger and excitement, he hasnt felt it in years.

He had thought that the excitement was just from him finding something to distract him once again from the pain but from what he's just realized, all his excitement seemed to stem from the conductor in front of him.

From the first warning to now facing him alone, he seemed to have felt things he hadn't felt in years.

This-

He opened his mouth to question him suprise but immediately swallowed that impulse down.

Asking questions and seeking answers would break the illusion.

He didnt want this..this feeling to fade right when it began.

Chu Yi seemed calm but the hands that held Little Red unconsciously tightened a little. Only when the little tentacle sent out a short squeak to remind him, did he snap out of his daze.

Turing away from the man in fron you him, Chu Yi proceeded to walk over to sit on the bed unfazed.

The conductor had stood there, enjoying the rapid changes on Chu Yis face but when he saw him walk over to sit on his bed, he still couldnt help but lift an eyebrow in question.

Chu Yi looked around the room, he hadn't actually observed it in the process of searching for his ticket and only now did he notice the subtleties of the room.

The colors of the pillows were red, the books on the cabinet had a red cover and even the carpet at the foot of the floor was red.

In such a plainly decorated room, the color stood out particularly loud in the room.

And Chu Yi, who sat elegantly on the plain sheets, with red eyes sparkling with intrest was actually perfectly in harmony with the rest. Like the brightest spot of colour on a black canvas.

The conductor who was on the recieving end of this beauty was particularly enamoured and his black eyes stared obsessedly at Chu Yi.

Unfortunately it wasn't time yet. He could only endure a little more leaving his little demon to roam unfettered a little while longer.

Chu Yi finally opened his mouth after looking around interestingly for a minute , but it was better he hadn't said a word because the sentence that came out of his mouth sent tremors of shock down Zhong Fengs spine and even caused the conductors eyebrows to furrow in wonder.

"Tonight, I'll be sleeping with you."

Yes he had decided. This was 'his' fun and he was going to keep it at all costs.
