Chapter 83

"We need to get you in a better mood!" Miguel declared.

"Miguel, the only thing that can get my brother to stop being so down is if Adrianna speaks to him again, and don't you dare tell me that you plan to force Adrianna to forgive him!" Ayanna said.

"That's not what I was going to suggest!" Miguel said in his defense.

"What do you have in mind?" Ray asked his friend.

"Let's go do what the girls do when they're down." Miguel looked at Alexi and Ram.

"Shopping!" Miguel, Alexi, and Ram all said together. The parents and the other boys burst into laughter when they heard it.

"We do not!" Nicole insisted.

"What did you do when that guy from school ghosted you?" Miguel asked Nicole.

"I spoke to Veronica and Ayanna." Nicole said.

"Then my sisters took my card because you had all decided you wanted to go shopping!" Alexi complained.

"You make more money than Natalia and I combined." Katerina said with a shrug.

"It was Veronica's idea!" Nicole said pointing at Veronica.

"Nicole!" Veronica complained.

"So, on the 26th?" Ray asked.

"What about the 26th?" Cedric looked up at his friend.

"We'll take a page out of the girl's books and go shopping." Ray reminded.

"You should buy him new clothes!" Priscilla said.

"Mom! I have a lot of clothes." Cedric complained.

"Ray! Get him some cars too! He's too stingy with those!" Emilio Reyes told Ray.

"Sure uncle. I've got a guy that can help us." Ray said before Cedric could complain.

"Cedric needs watches too!" Ayanna suggested.

"I have a watch!" Cedric complained.

"Cedric, you seem to need a lot of new things." His aunt Lucy Ang-Chan said.

"I swear Emilio, this poverty training that you guys go through makes you need to adjust back." Raphael Chan teased his friend.

"It took me a while to get used to the money again too. I was still eating at hole in the wall restaurants and food stalls ten years after my poverty training. At least Cedric has these guys, they can't eat at places like those if they wanted to. Too many people are their fans now." Emilio Reyes said.

"I know! Just last week when Miguel was with me in the hospital, several nurses and patients ran up to have their photos taken! It was as if I was with a celebrity!" Raphael Chan complained.

"But your other son is a celebrity Raphael." James Abad, Ram's and Veronica's father teased.

"That's different. Doesn't that happen to you?" Raphael asked.

"It does. Especially when it's a fan event of one of our talents. It seems the fans have all heard of Ram for some reason." James Abad said, shaking his head.

Two days later Ayanna was dragging Cedric out of the Reyes home to go shopping. With no valid excuse Cedric gave in and went with his friends.

Their first stop was Pris Mall, they were going to buy him new clothes. Ayanna had the whole luxury wing closed down again so that they could shop in private.

"Ooooh! Ayanna look! The new shoes are in!" Nicole said pointing at a shop.

"Nicole, we're shopping for Cedric, not for you!" Eric said, scolding his sister.

When they entered a european Men's clothing shop the boys started to disperse and look at clothes. Unfortunately everything they picked for Cedric got a thumbs down from the girls.

"You guys don't dress poorly, so why do you shop so badly!" Veronica complained.

"I have a stylist." Eric told them

"Same." Ram, Alexi, and Ray all said at the same time.

"Nicole shops for me." Miguel said laughing.

"Sit down. We got this." Katerina told the boys as the sisters went through all the clothes in the shop.

By the time they were done there were so many bags that they needed their security team to bring everything in another car.

"Where am I supposed to keep all of these?" Cedric asked.

"There is more than enough space in the Mountain View house. The problem is, now it will look like Adrianna's closet is quite empty." Veronica said as she imagined the house she was designing for Cedric. She had already finished it and it was just waiting for Cedric and Adrianna to move in.

"We can't shop for Adrianna. Let's just do that when we see her next time." Nicole said. Veronica just shrugged and agreed with her friend.

"My car guy is waiting for us at the dealership." Ray said, waving his phone.

"Guys I have enough cars." Cedric said.

"You have the Ghost, the R8, the BMW X6, Maserati Levante. Did I forget anything?" Ram asked, recalling the cars he had seen at the Mor Co. parking lot.

"That's already too much!" Cedric complained.

"You have a fifty car garage at home Cedric. It will look empty with just those four." Eric said, trying to drag Cedric to buy.

"Fine, but just three more." Cedric said.

"Yeah, yeah. Come on." Ray said, dragging Cedric into the car to go to the dealership.

"I honestly never understood what it was with guys and cars." Natalia sighed.

"It's like you with shoes." Alexi teased his sister.

At the car dealer, Ray had managed to convince Cedric to purchase a Porsche sports car when Cedric got an urgent call.

"Sir, sorry to bother you, but we have an urgent situation." Ian said over the phone.

"What is it?" Cedric asked.

"It's our expansion to Thailand sir. The CEO of our partner distributor here is being difficult." Island explained.

"Difficult how?" Cedric asked.

"He wants you to personally negotiate with him. If it isn't you then he said he would call off the deal." Ian explained.

"Alright. I can fly out tonight." Cedric said dropping the call.

"Sorry guys, I have to work." Cedric told his friend.

"You seem happier leaving us than when we were shopping." Ayanna said with a frown.

"Of course I am. You know I hate spending. Take the cars home." Cedric told the boys.

He immediately asked Camilla to have the plane ready for him to leave.
