32 Chapter 32 Rampage!

The Construct was slammed further and further into the ground by Naruto's blows, creating shock wave after shock wave. Suddenly it sent a punch and launched Naruto in the air. Then it jumped up and spun before kicking Naruto into the ground. After landing, a crater formed as Naruto glared at the Construct that had appeared from the sky. Then he growled as he stretched his arm out and grabbed the Construct as it was in the air. He swung his arm and slammed the Construct into the ground.

The others stared at the scene as they came to the realization that they had no way of getting involved with a fight of this level. The fight was just too extreme for anyone of their level.

"Just what can we do here?" Kiba asked absentmindedly.

"Nothing, now get out of here before you brats get hurt!" Gamabunta answered.

All of them looked up at the giant toad with mixed expressions. Sakura and Sasuke were conflicted as they knew that Naruto was in trouble, but they didn't see any way of helping him. Hinata was also concerned about Naruto but she couldn't stop herself from shaking at the sight of the battle taking place. Kiba seemed to accept Gamabunta's words after hearing them, Akamaru still remained hidden within Kiba's coat. Shino didn't show much of an expression in the first place. Lee seemed as if he wanted to try fighting but knew there was no room for him to get involved. Neji and Tenten appeared to be of the same mind as Kiba.

Suddenly, Gamabunta moved as he struck his tongue out at a spot, revealing Orochimaru as he jumped away to avoid the attack.

"Snake! Don't think I haven't forgotten about you!" Gamabunta snapped.

"Hoh, how unfortunate indeed." Orochimaru grinned as he starred at Sasuke.

Sasuke noticed Orochimaru's stare and couldn't help but shiver from it. The other's noticed as well and wondered why the man would stare at Sasuke like that.

"This one is too much for you brats! Get back now!" Gamabunta spoke as he wrapped his tongue around everyone and pulled them up.

"Whoa! What the-?" Kiba exclaimed as he was lifted off the ground.

Suddenly, a shock wave blew everyone back, when they looked over, they noticed Naruto had changed, instead of seeing four tails as before, he now had five tails. Orochimaru narrowed his eyes as he observed the sudden spike in chakra density surrounding Naruto. This child is truly incredible... how I wish I could get my hands on him.. Orochimaru mused to himself.

Gamabunta frowned and began carrying the group of genin away from the scene.

"Hey wait! Where are you taking us!?" Sakura shouted as she struggled to free herself.

"Away from this battle! It's getting further out of control with Naruto like that, and that thing he's fighting gives me a really bad feeling as well." Gamabunta replied.

"Who were they?" Sakura asked as she stared at the passing figures.

"They are the Anbu Black Ops Sakura." A voice said.

When the group looked over they saw that the one who spoke was Kakashi, along with Guy, and Kurenai.

"Eh? Kakashi-sensei!? What are you doing here?" Sakura asked.

"To get you guys out of here, the situation is currently far beyond any of your capabilities right now." Kakashi explained.

"But what about Naruto?!" Sakura shouted in frustration.

"We can't just leave him behind all by himself!"

Kakashi looked behind them in the direction of where Naruto was currently rampaging. There was a conflicted expression on his face as he looked back.

"Right now, you guys can't help Naruto, as much as I want to help him, my priority right now is the safety of you guys here." Kakashi spoke.

Sakura looked wide eyed at Kakashi in shock and bit her lip in anger. She really felt helpless right then and there.

Suddenly, Gamabunta stopped moving and lowered the group of genin down onto the ground.

"Since you guys now have jonin to look after you, it's time I take my leave." Gamabunta spoke.

Kakashi and the other jonin halted and joined up with them.

"Thank you." Kakashi bowed.

Gamabunta turned back and jumped toward where Naruto was.

The jonin watched Gamabunta leave before turning around to face the group of genin.

"It's time for you guys to leave!" Guy spoke.

"But Guy-sensei!" Lee began.

"Lee! Don't argue with me, this matter is already beyond your current capabilities. Just leave the rest to us!" Guy grinned as he gave a thumbs up.

Lee looked down in frustration but he still nodded his head as he replied. "Yes... Guy-sensei."

Guy placed his hand on Lee's head, causing Lee to look up at Guy.

"Lee, there are times when you are not strong enough to face a situation. But it's during these times that you have to remember why you trained hard to become strong in the first place. Don't let this get you down, you still have room to grow even stronger!" Guy encouraged.

Lee beamed at Guy as his eyes sparkled. "Guy-sensei!!"

"Lee!!" Guy replied while also getting teary-eyed.

"GUY-SENSEI!!!" Lee shouted.

"LEE!!!" Guy shouted back.

The others stared at the two caught within their own world with mixed expressions. Then they looked away, leaving the two alone.

"Kakashi-sensei.... Is there really nothing we can do?" Sakura asked.

Kakashi sighed as he looked over in Naruto's direction.

"I'm afraid so, Sakura, there really isn't anything you guys can do in this situation." Kakashi replied.

Sakura looked down after hearing this. She felt that the situation wasn't fair, and all she could do was grit her teeth in frustration. Suddenly, they were all brought out of their thoughts by a large explosion.

Kakashi stared at the direction of the explosion.

Looks like they've begun. He thought.

The anbu ninja surrounded Naruto and the Construct as they fought. They prepared themselves to begin engaging the two in combat while they waited for the Hokage to appear.

"Remember to be extremely careful here, this is the Nine-Tails we're engaging here, and while we don't know what that other thing is, it's fighting on par with the Nine-Tails so be equally cautious!" One of the Anbu members announced to the others.

The other anbu members nodded their heads in acknowledgment.

Naruto tore the Constructs limbs apart, but each time he did so, the Construct would just continue to regenerate and it was steadily getting used to Naruto's movements as well. This series of back and forth fighting only further caused rage to build up within Kurama's mind as he poured more and more chakra into Naruto. Soon, a sixth tail appeared and with this tail, lightning struck Naruto's body as bones formed around him in the shape of the fox's own skeleton. The resulting transformation pressured the newly arrived anbu and jonin ninjas.

"Oi.... Is there even anything we can do here?" One jonin ninja mumbled in disbelief.

The others could only silently gulp as they wondered that themselves.

"Shut up! We must do our job in making sure these two monsters don't get anywhere near the village and wait for Lord Hokage to arrive!" The Anbu member who spoke earlier shouted.

This sudden shout reignited the fires within the hearts of the others present, but even then, they still found themselves debating on how to handle the situation.

Naruto and The Constructs battle was steadily getting further out of control as the landscape was torn apart around them. The Construct changed its arm into a spike as it launched it straight toward Naruto, but was unable to pierce him. However, it sent Naruto flying in the opposite direction from the impact.

In retaliation, Naruto fired another smaller chakra blast at the Construct, blowing a chunk of its head clean off. The Constructs head regenerated and the two charged at each other once again.

The Hokage was rushing toward the fight when Jiraiya appeared beside him.

"Jiraiya..." Sarutobi murmured.

"Lord Third... I know things are bad right now, but I have a request." Jiraiya spoke.

"What is it?" Sarutobi asked.

"Let me take Naruto away from the village." Jiraiya answered.

"What? Why?" Sarutobi asked again. He wasn't against the idea, but he still wondered what Jiraiya's intentions were.

"I believe that after today, the village will no longer be able to stand Naruto's presence, and I fear Danzo is already up to something as well. You can't protect Naruto anymore while he stays here. So, let me take him away after we've settled everything, and I can train and protect him until he's strong enough to stand on his own." Jiraiya explained.

"Is that all, Jiraiya?" Sarutobi asked.

"It's also because he's the son of my former pupil." Jiraiya laughed.

Sarutobi nodded his head in understanding.

"Very well, I'll leave Naruto to you then." Sarutobi replied.

"Thank you!" Jiraiya thanked.

Suddenly, the two felt a sudden spike in the chakra density surrounding Naruto.

Not good! The two of them thought as they hurried faster to the area.

Naruto and The Construct fought but there still didn't seem to be any sign of a victor appearing. While Naruto was clearly more powerful, The Constructs unlimited regenerative abilities left it still being able to fight. Which left the two in a constant stalemate, as neither could gain an edge on taking down the other.

However, things began to change when The Construct was finally able to pierce through Naruto.

Naruto opened his eyes and found himself in a familiar, yet strange place once again. Just like last time, Hateshi was sitting cross legged in front of him.

"Welcome back!" Hateshi greeted with a warm smile.

"Huh? What was I doing?" Naruto asked.

"You don't remember? Well you tapped into Kurama's power and you were devoured by it." Hateshi answered.

"What? But why? I should be able to handle it!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Yes, well, that would be the case if you had taken care of the darkness in your heart before now." Hateshi replied.

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked.

"I mean you haven't done the training to handle Kurama's power in this timeline. That means you still have darkness within your heart and you still haven't done anything about Kurama's hatred as well either. So, letting go of your restraints naturally allowed that fox to take control." Hateshi answered.

Naruto stared in shock at Hateshi as he spoke. He grabbed his head as he began to worry about the situation.

"But wait... Why am I here?" Naruto looked up as he shouted.

"It's because The Construct was finally able to pierce you, thus creating a link for me to bring you here." Hateshi replied calmly.

"Eh?" Naruto uttered with wide eyes.

"But how?"

"Well, the Constructs are a part of the world, sooner or later, it would have developed the ability to pierce you even when you're covered in Kurama's cloak." Hateshi answered.

"Why are you so nonchalant about everything?!" Naruto shouted.

The way Hateshi was acting calm and as if nothing was bothering him had really started to piss Naruto off.

"Why should I worry about your situation? I can simply start over again. I told you already, I'm just an observer. If I get bored with the situation, I'll just move on and watch something else." Hateshi replied with a cold smile.

Naruto stared at Hateshi, he slowly realized that Hateshi didn't think like normal people, he didn't value life like everyone else he knew, and therefore didn't hold the same morals.

"Then why did you help me last time?" Naruto asked after taking a deep breath.

"Because it seemed fun!" Hateshi laughed.

"Fun?!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Exactly, it looked like it'd be fun to move around in your world through you. Unfortunately, your body couldn't handle the strain properly at the time. Too bad, I was enjoying myself too." Hateshi sulked as he was thinking about the previous time.

Naruto unconsciously took a step back as he wrapped his head around Hateshi's words. The guy was insane, but he seemed different last time... Why was that? Naruto wondered.

"You're wondering why I seem different than last time." Hateshi spoke.

Naruto was brought out of his thoughts as he looked at Hateshi in surprise.

"How did-" Naruto began.

"Because it's written all over your face, and your actions. You're starting to realize that I'm not like everyone else you know. However, think for a moment Naruto, who would be sane if they were stuck to watch endless cycles of life and death over and over for eternity? Who would be sane if they were forced only to watch and never able to interact with anything at all?!" Hateshi asked as he grew increasingly more unstable.

"Then, finally, you finally get the chance to interact with the very thing you've been watching for so long, but only for a little while. After which you are forced to watch yet again, only able to wonder if you'll ever get the chance again? Who would be sane in that situation?"

Naruto took a step back as Hateshi ranted at him.

"I have been in The Void for as long as I can remember. Doomed to watch your world's history endlessly."

"How could I possibly be sane?" Hateshi whispered quietly.

"Before, I had no idea what the feeling of air against skin was, the adrenaline that one gets when fighting, the feeling of one's fist making contact against another's body. The pain, the smells, the sounds and the emotions that you get to experience in everyday life.... It was so colorful."

"But now I do know, and knowing was something I had no idea could cause so much pain and anguish. Have you ever heard a saying, ignorance is bliss? Not many can really appreciate it until they've experienced the pain that certain knowledge can bring." Hateshi spoke.

Naruto was beyond confused as he watched Hateshi.

"Now, let's watch, shall we? Your consciousness is no longer in your body, so all that's left is for your friend Kurama to wreak havoc." Hateshi grinned.

After getting pierced by The Construct, Naruto grabbed it and ripped it's arm off, then jumped away to pull the arm piercing him out.

He growled in anger as he glared at The Construct, then he began to gather chakra. The surrounding ninja shivered as they witnessed the amount of chakra that Naruto was gathering.

"What is he planning to do with that?" One asked.

"We can only prepare ourselves." Another responded.

Soon however, The Third Hokage and Jiraiya appeared while Gamabunta had arrived as well.

"Gamabunta!" Jiraiya called out.

"Jiraiya!" Gamabunta looked down at the Toad Sage.

"What happened? If you're here, that must mean Naruto summoned you before he changed." Jiraiya asked.

"We were fighting Orochimaru, but that brat let the Nine-Tails power erode his mind and he lost control. Then whatever that thing is appeared from the sky in a black orb." Gamabunta answered.

"Orochimaru?! I should have known he would somehow be involved in this!" Jiraiya exclaimed.

"Yeah, he was here, it seems he is targeting someone and Naruto was attempting to stop him." Gamabunta continued to say.

"Orochimaru... the situation is even more dire than I had originally thought.... if even that snake is here." Sarutobi murmured.

"What should we do?" Jiraiya asked.

"While Orochimaru does concern me, right now we have more pressing matters to take care of." Sarutobi answered.

"Right, so what's the plan?" Jiraiya wondered.

"You said that being over there appeared from the sky in a black orb?" Sarutobi asked Gamabunta.

"Yes!" Gamabunta replied.

"Black orb...? I believe something similar was mentioned within Kakashi's report during their mission in the Land of Waves!" Sarutobi commented.

"Oh? Then how did they handle the situation?" Jiraiya asked looking hopeful.

"Apparently it was Naruto who handled it, but Kakashi had stated that Naruto had changed somehow during that process, so he could never figure out how Naruto had dealt with it." Sarutobi replied.

"I see, so the situation isn't looking good at all." Jiraiya spoke.

"Indeed, but we must figure out a way to undo Naruto's Nine-Tails state before it is too late, and we must figure out what to do with that being over there!" Sarutobi concluded.

As they spoke Naruto had finished gathering chakra and condensed it into a small sphere and swallowed it.

Just as Naruto was about to fire the Tailed Beast Bomb, The Construct had rushed over and kicked Naruto's chin up, making him face the sky right as he fired. The blast flew high into the sky before finally detonating, sending massive shock waves toward the ground making everyone hold on as the trees bent over from the pressure.

"That was close!" Jiraiya commented as he wiped sweat off his forehead.

"Indeed, we must act now in order to get this situation under control!" Sarutobi replied.

The two shinobis then rushed down onto the ground and faced Naruto and The Construct.
