The mission had been completed, so team Sakumo took their time as they made their way back to Konoha, resting on the way. They stopped by a hot spring near the village, after some prompting from Jin. The other three accepted since they were now beat from the long mission.

Like usual, Jin was popular with the women. The only moment in which he truly relaxed was when he entered the male-only spring. Ever since that day with Jiraiya, he had developed a liking for these sort of places whose sole purpose was for the relaxation of their clients.

Luckily, the bath allowed for pets and ninja animals to enter as long as they weren't too big. Sakumo's dogs, with whom the Uchiha trio had quickly become friends ever since being saved by them, were very lively and good-natured. One of them, the small Frenchie, took a liking to stay seated on Jin's head. He liked that spot so much for some reason that he even refused to enter the water in an effort to stay on his head.

Jin had absolutely no problem with this, in fact, he found the dog was quite cute. Sakumo was surprised since this one specifically was usually very domineering and had a massive temper. Jin becoming friends so easily with the dog came as a big surprise to him. Hideki was jealous as he also wanted the special treatment, at least the big bulldog allowed him to hug it as much as he liked.

This type of relaxation was welcome since after experiencing a near-death situation, their bonds had grown much stronger. They would enjoy each other's company while it lasted.

As he enjoyed his bath with the others, Jin thought of Tsunade. According to the manga, she was, in fact, part of the legendary Senju clan that disappeared out of the main series without much explanation or reason why. The only ones that he could recall being part of this esteemed bloodline would be her and Nagato, who was the son of both scattered members of the Senju and Uzumaki clan.

Was the Senju clan still in existence at this point in the timeline? Or was there a change due to the butterfly effect? His interest was now officially piqued as he made a note to inquire about all of this with Tsunade at a later date.

The rest of the trip went smoothly, as they arrived at the village without any problems.

"Alright, guys! I will go report the mission details to the Hokage's office. You guys can use this time to go and see your families." Sakumo was about to leave, but he stopped mid-way as he remembered something important. "At five, meet me at the Hokage's office, you will receive your part of the reward for the mission then. By the way, let's celebrate and eat some ramen tonight. My treat."

"Thanks, Sakumo-sensei!"

With that, he left in a small puff of smoke. Jin and co. happily made their way back to the Uchiha clan. When they got there, they were greeted by the smiles of the rest of the clan members. Seeing that their young geniuses had come back safely from their mission brought happiness to their hearts as they felt proud of having such characters amongst their ranks.

The trio's morale was high as they split ways and went to their respective households in a hurry to see their loved ones. Jin got back and spent some time with his mother, to which he explained all of the things that happened to him in the mission. Her eyes flashed with a cold light as she stared at her son with a frown.

"Are you telling me you that you were that close to dying? I am going to have a serious talk with your sensei. He should take better care of you three, you are the future of the clan after all."

Jin started sweating coldly as he murmured. "I am sorry sensei... Good luck." He then left to Fugaku's home. In other words, the clan head's residence. There was an important matter he needed to dress with Goro.

After he knocked on Fugaku's door, a beautiful black-haired woman opened the door for him. Jin knew her, she was none other than Fugaku's mother. Aiko Uchiha.

"Jin-chan! I haven't seen you in so long, give your aunt a hug!" She grabbed him before he could do anything, as his face was directly squeezed onto her bosom. Aiko loved her nephew, he was so cute that she couldn't help but hug him all she could.

Jin blushed a little but calmed down and went straight to the point without any delay.

"Auntie, can I see uncle Goro? I have some stuff to talk to him about." Jin's voice sounded muffled because of his face being squeezed.

"Sure thing! He's in his office, I think that Fugaku is with him though." She finally let go of him as she answered.

"It's okay, I don't mind."

Jin took a deep breath, he had almost suffocated there.

He then made his way towards the office, after which he knocked on the door once more.

"Enter." Goro's firm voice sounded from the other side of the door. Jin opened it promptly and entered the office thereafter.

When he entered, he was greeted by the sight of Goro sitting on the main chair behind a big desk, and Fugaku sitting silently on one of the two guest ones.

"So it's Jin-kun! Fugaku told me about your mission, did you have fun?" Goro was someone who enjoyed fighting, his son was similar so when he asked about the mission he went straight to the point and asked if he had enjoyed it.

"Sure, it was alright..." Jin didn't want to ruin the lively mood, so he did not go into detail about how he was forced to witness someone lose it all.

Happy with the answer, Goro signaled for Jin to state his reason for coming. Jin did not beat around the bush as he took out a black scroll from his pouch, and handed it over to Goro.

Goro was intrigued and opened it. While reading the scroll, his face went from shocked, to interested, and then finally to joy. He looked at Jin and waited for him to explain what was going on.

Taking the cue, Jin started to speak with a light smile while Goro and Fugaku listened attentively.

"This is the scroll for my self-made ninjutsu, Chidori. I want to gift it to the clan." Pausing for a moment, he observed Goro's surprised expression after hearing that the technique was self-made before continuing. "As you saw on the scroll, this technique requires big chakra reserves and good eyesight. People with average eyes will suffer from tunnel vision when they use this attack, due to the speed at which it is deployed being too quick for the eyes to keep up. This creates a severe disadvantage when in battle, as one would not be able to dodge an opponents attack."

"So you are basically saying that with our clan's Sharingan, these limitations can be overcome?" Goro was very smart as he pointed out the main part of the discussion after hearing Jin's short explanation.

"Indeed, uncle. With my eyes, I am able to use this technique with no drawbacks, and thanks to our clan naturally possessing above-average chakra reserves it is basically a perfect fit." Jin then turned serious. "Uncle, I want this technique to only be taught to the clan members that have awakened the Sharingan, and I request for it to be our clan's only. Keep in mind this is an A-rank jutsu with the potential to reach S-rank if improved upon."

"As for the fact that it is a lightning-natured technique, users with no affinity towards this element will need further training. I believe this will soon become one of the strengths of our clan, so this is why I decided to gift it."

Goro listened to Jin attentively, and at times nodded while at others he seemed to be in deep thought. When he finished, Goro had a big smile plastered on his face.

"Jin, you can trust me when I say that this, will be our clan's secret ability! Your contribution this time has been massive, I thank you on behalf of the clan." Goro almost got emotional at this point.

"Do not worry uncle, I will do everything and anything for the clan. I do not expect either compensation gratitude, my satisfaction will come when I see our clan getting stronger thanks to my technique."

At this point, since Kakashi hadn't been born yet, Jin shamelessly took the trademark for this jutsu. Mentally asking for forgiveness.

"Uncle, can I go see the stone tablet today? I feel like reading a bit more."

"Sure! Go right ahead! I am going to call for a meeting with the elders of the clan. See you later!"

"Bye Uncle! Bye Fugaku!" Jin said his goodbyes before heading to the shrine. With that out of the way, it was finally time to test out the theory he had been pondering on for a while now.

"Let's see if this darn stone tablet still blocks my path when I try to rewrite it."

He smiled and leisurely walked towards the clan's most sacred location... Naka Shrine.
