Chapter 303: The Battlefield Forts

"I… have my own ways to do that," he could only tell her that, "now I'll have to go. I depend on you to prepare the town for the war."

"I'll do my best," she said before adding, "by the way… I liked your suit."

He paused and his mind froze as he recalled the gift he bought for her. "Y'know… after this war ends and we emerge victorious I'll give you something to remember that moment forever," he vaguely said before taking his leave.

And she only watched his back before it vanished, yet she didn't move away from her gaze except after a long time. "Sigh, if you appeared a couple of years earlier… things would have been much different now," she muttered before relaxing her body over the throne.

"Will I be able to keep it for you, my dear father?" she whispered softly while touching the throne like it was the last time for her to be sitting over it.

Bloom once moved outside he didn't delay to send a summon message to Antoan and Nara.

He asked the two to meet him up at the restaurant of the town. He moved there first and left a word about the two for the waiter before closing up his eyes and his mind starting working with all his might.

"The simplest way to gain money is through my Pandora box, but I need to hijack many caravans this way," he muttered to himself while thinking about going to their towns and starting spreading terror there.

Yet he didn't feel this would be a good thing, as his aim wasn't to cause trouble but to gain money. "Going there would only delay me," he only sighed before recalling the tickets he already had for over a hundred towns.

"And that fort too… it's troublesome not to act there and secure it before war," he knew that fort was something precious for all that ruckus that caused so far.

"Let's see what does a fort even mean," he didn't delay and opened the dark auction interface where there were some forts being sold there.

These forts were all being sold at very high prices. The cheapest he found ever was being auctioned by twenty million dark points and now he saw even fifty million dark points bids over a couple of them.

He opened the information regarding one of them and started to read and learn.

"Basic fort at the outer region of the battlefield: Grade green basic fort that covers the area of half mile radius. The fort is equipped with two defensive towers, basic wooden wall, some traps around, and three catapults for defense.

A sentry post is situated in the front of it, connected to the fort with a paved road with mud that can support the move of small caravans and horses.

The fort has one armory, one barrack, and two merchant stores. The fort can accommodate one thousand men at most. It only supports dark forces.

Fort speciality: one hundred and fifty miles far from the dark forest, its location is considered one of the rare specialities ever in the entire market."

He read this description over and over again before opening another fort and read its content.

"Hmm…" he was lost in thoughts even though he didn't notice the two sitting in front of him, "So these are the forts then…" he softly muttered but his voice was heard by these two.

"What is the fort?" suddenly Nara asked, "is it something that can help in the war?"

Her voice startled him before he smiled when he saw her face and Antoan sitting in front of him, eyeing him with curiosity.

"It's something I'll tell you about later," he closed the market interface before adding, "but now I want to ask about the players we gathered so far."

"I've got so many tickets," Antoan said in a tone that told Bloom things weren't going the way they were supposed to be.

"And?" he asked for more.

"Only few answered our call so far," Nara said, "it seems our proposal wasn't enticing enough."

"Really?" he was surprised to hear that, "how can this be possible?"

"It's because of that jerk," Nara explained, "he issued a ban quest, giving rewards for anyone who would drop our call and not show up."

"Dockrey," Bloom's eyes were ignited with fierceness, "so he wanted to play this game with me… what are the rewards he issued then?"

"He promised those players at least one thousand gold coins and an elite place in his guild," Antoan said.

"He has a guild?" Bloom couldn't help but laugh, "or yet to come guild?"

"He is seeking to have one like us," Nara said as she was the one who was more intel about him, "he is now working hard to obtain a token to establish a guild like yours."

"Mine… is special," Bloom couldn't help but laugh again, "alright, let's raise the bid then… for every player that comes we'll give him one thousand gold coins plus a membership in the elite team."

"H- How can this be raising the bid?!" Nara couldn't help but ask in doubt.

"Because our guild will be completed in less than a week," Bloom simply said, "and I want you to announce this to the entire world."
