Chapter 166: Derik Angus!

Right now Rakzuen was watching this terrifying death god consuming other cosmic beings and gods on the other side of the realm as if they are nothing. The way he subdued them and killed them in an overwhelming manner was the reason even Rakuzen was scared of this man. This god of death made their god of death look like a child swinging a wand. Compared to this man the current god of death will most likely lose even in his domain. There is a very high chance that if the gods gather they may win but most of them will be put in a critical condition or even die off. 

Rakuzen gazed at the god of death standing right in front of him and was reluctant to say the name out loud simply because he was more afraid of that being than the true god of death and destruction.

"Say his name damn it! Don't tell me the high and mighty Rakuzen who was once a celestial being is scared of a mere realm protector?" The god of death taunted but to his greatest surprise, Rakuzen didn't even bother hiding his fears in front of his successor!

"Yes… I have a feeling that even if I were at my peak strength and go against him as a realm protector, I will die in that battle as well" Rakuzen said with a grave look on his face.

The god of death could see pictures playing out in the eyes of Rakuzen and he knew this being wasn't lying, he was currently watching this god of death and destruction wreak havoc. He finally began believing what Rakuzen said about this body reaching the realm of the true gods from nothing in just two decades or less. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of being this person is but right now he could see Rakuzen was unwilling to say more about him.

"If you answer my questions I will let you go, peacefully" The god of death said but Rakuzen's reaction was different from what he expected!

"Do you think you can keep me here if I wish to leave? You must be delusional!" Rakuzen bared his fangs against this god, stunning him. The fear he displayed when talking about this other death god was gone the moment he was speaking to him. It only showed how much value Rakuzen placed on the enemy.

"Who is this man you speak of?" the god of death ignored his provocative words and asked the question calmly.

Hearing the question and felt reluctant to answer, but looking at Lucien's interested look he couldn't help but sigh before speaking.

"Before I answer your questions, I wish to know your intentions for this enemy!" Rakuzen asked after taking a deep breath.

"Are you dumb? Two death gods cannot exist… I will wait for his arrival and when he finally comes for my head, a battle which even the heavens will record will be fought here, and believe me when I say this Rakuzen! I will not be defeated easily! Not in my realm!" The god of death said with so much determination even Lucien was moved.

Hearing this Rakuzen remained silent for a while pondering on something before nodding in understanding.

"This man was born and at a very young age, he fought! He fought against the supernatural beings, he fought against the enemies, he fought against his own people! All his life has been war after wars… endless battles! The only time he doesn't fight is when he cultivates by digesting the souls of the dead he has consumed… He never had a love life… he never had kids… He barely had people he called students… as a mortal he fought against demigods and as a demigod he fought against true gods and as a true god he battled the realm protector, beyond, fatally injuring her but losing his life in the process… but even death could not hold this man because he has already become death itself and not just a god of death! He has made death magic an extension of his body and a part of him! No matter how much we try to deny it or how much we try to argue it, the fact remains he reached the realm of true god in just two decades just by consuming the souls of his endless foes! He has a twin soul, one of a human and the other is that of a Lycan… a god beast soul!... His name is Derik Angus!" Rakuzen said but instantly regretted saying the last part.

Upon saying the name, the underworld began to tremble violently as the black clouds turned darkish green and multiple green chains shot out of the clouds, smashing into the ground in all parts of the underworld. The attention of the three was focused on the sky and a pair of green fiery eyes slowly yanked open staring at the trio with an indifferent look. These three felt the gaze of the eyes extremely uncomfortable as it felt like he could pierce into the deepest parts of their souls! 

This lasted for only a few seconds before the eyes finally showed a lack of interest before closing and vanishing! Only then did the clouds turn black again and only then did the green chains vanish.

"D-did you hear that?" Lucien stuttered fearfully for the very first time in his life, shivering in Rakuzen's hands only to realize that even Rakuzen was trembling slightly. His face was covered in sweat and even though he tried to look as calm as possible, Lucien could tell he was scared too. 

How could he not be scared?

Upon the appearance of those cold eyes, the trio could hear the screams and cries of the dead coming from the green clouds. The countless voice and cries of those who have fallen victim to this being were enough to make Lucien and the rest feel anxious. Even the bravest of men would crumble when faced with something so terrifying! It felt like they were not gazing at a fellow god but a god killer! His eyes were more beast than human! He made the god beasts look like kittens!

"What the hell was that? HE DARES PEER INTO MY DOMAIN!" The god of death screamed in rage but his trembling feet showed how terrified he is too. 

Lucien and Rakuzen remained silent as they tried to recover from the initial shock. They could only wait calmly for the god of death to calm down before they continued speaking.

"You have seen it for yourself… As per our deal, I am leaving with my successor!" Rakuzen said coldly but didn't dare move. He wished to see the reaction of the god of death first before knowing how to act.

"One more question!" The god of death asked after taking in a deep breath and Rakuzen nodded in approval.

"Why him? why risk your life coming down here for him! you know what the other gods will do if they learn you are still breathing, yet you risked it all for a mere warrior realm kid… why?" The god of death asked.

"I don't know… At first, I was just looking for a mortal to serve as my blessed until I am strong enough to take over his body and when this kid fell into my tomb I had such thoughts but then as time passed, this kid kept doing the impossible! Not because he is the most talented in his generation but because he was the only one with a unique mindset and wasn't afraid of failure… He may be at the warrior realm but he has already created his own martial technique!" Rakuzen said and the god of death cut him off there.

"What? That's impossible!" The god said as he shifted his gaze to Lucien but Rakuzen nodded his head.

"Dual martial technique: Body and soul harmony!" Rakuzen said calmly, making the old monster shiver in shock!

Body and soul harmony? Doesn't that mean he is able to control the power of the living and death to create a perfect combat technique that draws power from two realms of existence?

IMPOSSIBLE!

The god of death wanted to scream that word but then he couldn't help but ponder on Lucien's achievements so far, only to realize he has been underestimating this kid. This explains why he is able to retain his senses even though he was only in the mortal realm! This is simply because he has formed a spirit sense, just like another spirit realm master and the reason his abilities were not sealed by the underworld was because of the nature of his combat technique. Such combat technique prevented him from getting his link to the living world severed by the underworld since he is already part of the spirit world before coming here!

"This kid!" The god of death gazed at Lucien with a renewed understanding of the youth called Lucien Rakuzen.

"I know, I know… He is awesome but I found him first! This kid is the only one who stands a chance against the god of death and destruction! All he needs now is time to grow!" Rakuzen said confidently!
