Chapter 133: A worthy foe

Lucien began descending like a death god with a shadow storm looming over his head. While he moved, the shadow storm slowly blocked out the moonlight until there was nothing left but darkness! The three students hiding along a mountain pass were alarmed but they did not panic. As elites amongst elites, they decided to stick together and push their senses to their limit waiting for the foe to attack within the shadow but to their greatest surprise, the attacker didn't make use of the darkness, instead, he revealed himself by releasing a silver light surging from his body, making him visible.

He slowly took off his azure blue dragon mask, revealing his charming, youthful face, stunning them.

"A kid!" A yellow-haired lady said lightly, showing some hints of reluctance in her voice but Lucien could not help but notice the killing intentions flashing in her eyes.

If it were any other person, they would let their guard down just by hearing her words and the innocence in her tone but Lucien can't be fooled easily, especially since his senses are more of a beast than a person.

"I apologize but you all will die here… for the sake of my fallen comrades who died by your hands… This is war" Lucien said plainly while his hands moved at a strange and slow pace, creating a blue circle in the air.

"Faceless…" Lucien said calmly as silver energy shot out of his body and into the air above him. It twisted and turned violently before taking the shape of the azure blue dragon, dancing over Lucien.

"Impressive…" A purple hairs kid named Par said.

He has short purple hair with bright purple eyes. While he looked slightly paler than usual, he had a lanky build too, making him look sickly. There was this aura surrounding him that made Lucien feel uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, the lady who spoke earlier was blond and had a nice hourglass shape. Her bosom and behind are so massive even Lucien found it hard to only look her in the face when he arrived. Finally, the last member of their three-man team was a dark-skinned bald youth with an outstanding build, but sharper eyes. Even though he could not compare to the burly man of before in terms of strength he definitely looked more dangerous.

"He is strong… I could have sworn this shadow storm is maintained with mana… But that dragon, is maintained with the soul energy? How can someone have two forms of energy in him! This kid is not simple…" The dark skin kid said calmly, after inspecting Lucien for a while from a distance.

Hearing his words, the other two were stunned but even then they showed no fear. Their eyes moved from Lucien to the azure blue serpent dragon and finally the shadow storm around them and only then did they realize that Lucien actually had two forms of energy in him.

"Wow" Par dropped a simple comment as usual and said no more.

"It doesn't matter if he has two types of energy! Against my partner he is nothing!" The yellow-haired lady growled as a complex magic formation appeared beneath her feet, revealing a bright yellow light!

Right in front of her, the ground exploded spider-type magic beast jumped out! While he may not know about it, he could tell it was a king-tier magic beast making him feel a bit more bitter. He could only have a king-tier magic beast partner because of the system and Rakuzen yet someone performed this feat without any sort of cheat code.

"You fail to understand something… This shadow storm was not meant to hide me… I created to prevent people from coming in and for you guys from leaving" Lucien said coldly.

Hearing this, the dark-skinned man laughed heartily while gazing at Lucien as if he is the biggest idiot he have seen in a while.

"Doesn't that mean you are trapped with us?" He asked with a raised eyebrow while waiting for Lucien to realize his stupidity but to his greatest surprise that didn't happen. Instead, Lucien revealed a sinister smile a said some words that sent shivers down their spine.

"No! No! No! You have got it all wrong! I am not trapped in here with you… You all are trapped in here with me!" Lucien laughed crazily as he said those words.

"Kill him!" the blonde lady couldn't hold down her anger anymore so she attacked first.

The spider magic beast was over at least three to four times the size of an average man! Yet its body shot forward like a bullet, leaving behind a trail of dust and rumbling earth enough to make a man wet his pants but Lucien wore a sinister smile on his face! In his opinion, this is another chance for him to assimilate another king-tier magic beast and make its power his!

The scene made the jaws of the enemy drop as they watched the spider stab down with one of its long black pointy legs but what stunned them was that Lucien only raised a hand and welcomed the attack with an open palm, causing the entire place to tremble ridiculously while the earth beneath them sank in!

"You think a mere king tier magic beast can beat me? You must be getting cocky by the day!" Lucien growled as his aura surged forward violently and from above the azure blue dragon slammed into the spider magic beast!

Unlike the other king tier magic beasts Lucien has faced so far that possess powerful bodies and incredible strength, this spider magic beasts lacked all that so it was only slightly stronger than the faceless.

While both sides were entangled in a heated battle, Lucien shot back and into the air with blazing blue eyes. He pushed both hands forward as the image of the azure blue dragon appeared behind him and his power exploded.

"Heed my call… Azure dragon spear!" Lucien roared as the blue dragon spear appeared in front of him, and immediately it began spinning, creating a massive whirlpool of blue flame!
