Both of them exchanged glances before Lucien quickly released the flame pup, sending it back to the beginner area and putting the beast core into his omini pocket son, and then dashing out of the room.

"What the hell is happening here," Lucien asked upon seeing Titan, Alucard, and Lucy gazing at the distance with a shocked expression on their faces.

Seeing the notification, Lucien's facial expression turned gloomy since he found it hard to believe that a barrier that can take attacks of tier three spells will crumble under the power of some so-called spirit wolves.

"The spirituality cultivators are attacking!" Lucien said as he turned to see a stunned expression on Instructor Emma's face as she gazed in the same direction where the others were looking as well.

Those were the only words Lucien could say as he turned to that direction only to realize that the so-called spirit wolves are not as simple as it sounds. They were at least 2 meters tall with blazing purple fur and deep blue eyes. Using their massive claws, the three spirit wolves relentlessly bombarded the barrier with a flurry of claw attacks.

"Each strike is equivalent to the power of a tier-three spell…" Lucy muttered in fear while taking a few bold steps back.

Seeing the quest details, Lucien frowned and took a step back. He never expected to see a quest like this since he knew the implications. The last time a quest like this appeared it had to deal with the general level hell hound. The system concluded that Lucien is not strong enough to face the magic Beast head-on so it asked him to survive and back then he was only able to win due to the help of Brian's magic weapon, dawn.

'The system believes I can't win this fight and that's why it's trying to get me run… but with the help of these people… we have a chance…' Lucien said in his mind.

He could remember the system apologizing for doubting his ability after the hell hound was defeated and gave him the omini pocket zone as a reward. Lucien couldn't help but wonder what special gift he would receive from the system if he succeeds in defeating these people this time.

"Titan focus on defense, Lucy, you support, meanwhile Instructor Emma and Alucard will be our firepower while I create an opening since I am the one with the highest survivability here and movement speed…" Lucien said with a vicious grin on his face while gazing at the spirit wolves.

"Isn't he a little bit too excited?" Lucy asked as she gazed at Lucien with a doubtful look on her face.

The others nodded in agreement to her words but they didn't bother commenting.

A mild gust of wind gathered around Lucien as his eyes let out a silver light. A smirk appeared on his face as his body slowly left the ground and rose into the air. The wind gathered blow forming a visible cloud, allowing him to remain airborne.

"This is my first original tier 2 spell… Wind magic: wind rider" Lucien said calmly while gazing into the eyes of the spirit wolves.

[The Beast assimilation system will not work on the spirit wolves since they are not actual magic beasts]

It was like the system read his mind and gave him an answer to his question even before he could ask

"He already has an original tier 2 spell and he's only a first-year… Jokes apart this kid is a monster" Titan said as he gazed at Lucien who stop gallantly on the cloud beneath his feet.

"Yea… I am pretty sure he doesn't know how terrifying his growth speed is… that's why he flaunts his power around without a care

. If he knew how many people are envious and terrified of his growth speed, he wouldn't dare use his powers in public" Instructor Emma said while gazing at Lucien's back.

His eyes turned blue as his body jerked back in a bid to create some distance between him and the spirit wolf. Seeing the massive purple wolf lunging forward with its flaming claws a sinister smile bloomed on Lucien's face before he activated the most powerful offensive spell in his book

"TIER 3 LIGHTNING MAGIC: ZEUS!!!" Lucien growled as a mighty bolt of lightning appeared in his hands as he struck forward.

He turned towards the direction of the shadow wolf only to see the hole on its hand and chest close up easily. A bitter smile appeared on his slightly pale face as he got to his feet and levitated slightly higher than the level before.
