Chapter 75: Domain spell

"Habakiri!" Lucien growled as his eyes let out a bright blue light.

[Habakiri summoned!]

A silver light spawned around his right hand and a mighty lightning whip appeared in his hand lashing out on the green arch of energy!

The two attacks collided and exploded at the spot, releasing a powerful shockwave that knocked even Lucien out of the air, forcing him to fall to the ground violently

'He stopped it? What magic weapon is that? The Raizen clan heirloom?'

Numerous thoughts crossed the mind of Brandy Lucardo and the other numerous observers around. Everyone had expected Lucien to be killed by the quick slash attack but to their greatest surprise, Lucien was fast enough to keep up with the enemy's attack and even take it on directly.

"No wonder he dared to challenge the Lucardo Family knight" Alucard said with a cold expression on his face watched the battle. Anyone who paid close attention to him would notice his body kept trembling occasionally due to the excitement in his heart.

Lucien far surpasses his expectations!

Meanwhile, Instructor Emma remained silent with the others as they kept gazing at the magic weapon in Lucien's hands! It was not inferior to noble family heirlooms in any way!

"It's not over yet!" Lucien growled as he lashed out at Brandy once again, aiming to split him apart with the lightning whip.

Brandy chose not to retreat and charged towards Lucien. In his opinion, it is the magic weapon that is powerful and not the user! If he can get close, it will definitely be over for him. While trying to parry the attack with his sword, he watched the blade of the sword getting shattered into a thousand pieces upon contact, forcing him to crouch just to dodge the lightning whip.

'Not enough!" Lucien said as the lightning whip switched from lightning to fire!

Lashing out violently, Lucien released countless attacks at the target but not even one hit. The Lucardo family knight was fast enough to dodge each and every one of them but soon, everyone noticed a pattern! Lucien's attacks were never directed at the man but aimed at his surroundings.

Seeing countless scorch whip marks on the floor, a sly smile appeared on Lucien's face as he flicked his fingers and muttered.

"Explode!"

While the area around the knight was rocked with countless explosions, Lucien dared not stay idle, instead, he began preparing his next attack!

'This weapon is just a strong as noble family heirlooms! How can a child with no background get his hands on something this precious!' Brandy Lucardo growled in his heart while he used his aura to minimize the damage received from the explosions.

He began cursing himself for not bringing his real equipment with him. Since he felt he would be dealing with a Human realm mage with no background, he picked up a longsword and even wore normal armor, since he didn't consider the youth a threat! But now, he couldn't help but regret his decisions!

"Aaaaaahhhhhh!" Brandy roared as he poured out all his mortal realm aura at once! Creating a shockwave blew away the flames around him.

At this point, those watching couldn't help but cover their lips with their hands! No one expected a mortal realm expert to be reduced to this level in just a few exchanges. Most of his metal armor has broken off, revealing his bloodied body with burn wounds, meanwhile, he held a broken sword tightly, gazing at Lucien from a distance with a hint of despair in his eyes as he saw the threefold silver magic array.

"I know they spoke of the sealed artifact that allows me to assimilate the power of magic beasts I kill but I am sure they failed to tell you about my proficiency in casting tier-three spells!" Lucien said calmly while looking down on the knight with a hint of disgust in his eyes!

"Tier 3 wind magic: Gale Zone!" Lucien growled as his eyes let out a bright light and countless wind domes filled the space around them, stretching up to a kilometer farther was transformed into a chaotic wind zone with so many twisters, Hurricanes, and tornados, even Instructor Emma and the others were forced to retreat while trying not to get caught in it!

"An original spell! A domain one at that!" Instructor Emma couldn't hold back her shock this time so she just blurted out those words without any remorse for Brandy Lucardo who was currently struggling desperately within the gale zone. It took a lot of effort from him to remain grounded and not getting tossed around like a child!

Unlike normal spells that directly affect the user or the enemy, domain spells affect the environment around them, forcing the enemy to fight in an unfavorable condition.  Fortunately, Lucien had nothing else to do with his time so he decided to create a domain spell of his own.

Gazing at the duo within the gale zone it looked like they were standing on the clouds surrounded by countless twisters and tornados. Brandy Lucardo remained calm and hid all his insecurities in a bid to avoid getting consumed by the nightmare soul eater skill just like Charles.

He watched as Lucien's blazing whip vanished and was replaced with nothing?

His eyes widened as he poured his energy into the broken sword and used it to block the invisible attack coming from the side!

Getting struck by the wind whip, Brandy was thrown off his foot and then the gale zone took effect! Everyone watched as the mortal realm expert was getting tossed around by the twisters and Hurricanes in the gale zone! He tried as much as possible to gather his power and directly destroy the domain spell but each time he tried to focus, Lucien would assault him repeatedly with the invisible wind whip, making this man suspect that Lucien is somehow able to tell whenever he's trying to perform an attack that will shatter his gale domain! Unknown to him, Lucien was only acting each time he got the warning notification from the system!
