Chapter 62: Incest? What the hell!

Lucien tried to persuade everyone to sleep but they all refused and decided to take turns sleeping. Apparently, no one was willing to put their hands in the life of magic beasts Lucien claims he can control. Brian was allowed to sleep all through the night in hopes that he would recover while Lucien used this opportunity to go through the rest of the notifications he is yet to check.

Seeing this message, Lucien frowned. He considered upgrading the system but he also wanted to take things slow. Master each and every ability available before the upgrade. He did not wish to rush things but take them slow and steady instead.

"I refuse…" Lucien muttered as the notification vanished.

Gazing at his exp points, he considered what path to buy. He has already purchased the contractor path so he's sure it works. The other basic paths are of no use to him except for one!

"Purchase Seer pathway!" Lucien said and he was soon assaulted by a piercing headache.

This time, what he saw were minor settlements outside the three great empires. There he saw elderly men dressed in strange attires interpreting dreams, prophesying doom, holding rituals, and more. He strangely understood the ancient tongue they spoke and he had a fair understanding of how they did it.

In the Fotia empire, there are people like that who call themselves fortune tellers but most if not all are fraudsters, con-artists, and scams. The seer pathway was deeper than all that, so deep that Lucien couldn't tell its true form and purpose. With the images and knowledge transferred to his mind, he could tell that divinations were just the basic powers of a seer.

"The more I think about it the more I get confused… Yet the system calls these paths common… How badass are the other paths which it is yet to reveal?" Lucien muttered to himself.

He was about to go to ask the system a few questions but then he heard strange sounds, more like moans! He's the person on guard now, so it felt strange. Tiptoeing towards the source of the sound to a part of the camp farthest from the campfire but closest to the stream. Silently and skillfully blending with the tall grasses around Lucien peeped only to see Lenard laying on his back while Susie kept hoping vigorously!

'What the hell? Aren't they siblings?' Lucien screamed in his mind as his face reddened but he just couldn't pull his eyes off them. He could understand incest amongst beast-men since it was done to help maintain the strong family bloodline but to humans in this era, this is more like a taboo.

He watched as Lenard promptly sat up and violently grabbed his sister's bosom and placed his lips on her nipples gently. He watched as the duo got entangled, twisting and turning vigorously!

[Shadow cloak activated]

[Shadow hop]

'Damn it!' Lucien cried out in his mind as his body was covered in a black shadow cloak and he suddenly vanished. 

On his way back he came across a flame pup, the magic beast form of the soldier-level flame hound. These beasts were like baby tigers with bright red eyes and flaming tails, giving them a cute look.

Wanting to get the recent images stuck in his mind off, he picked up the magic beast and carried it back to his campfire. There he sat in silence while rubbing its warm fur. He could feel the emotions of these magic beasts thanks to the contractor pathway. At first, he could tell that the beats were a bit too restless and scared because of the Hell hound aura around him but when after rubbing its fur for an extended amount of time, it finally calmed down and relaxed in his arms.

He watched the little fire beast try to breathe fire or summon a tiny ball of fire, seeing it struggle while putting on a weird expression on his face made him laugh. He could feel the pure nature of the magic beast and felt a bit attached to it after playing with it for a while. Amongst the abilities, he obtained after buying the contractor path was the soul bind contract. He could form a binding contract with this magic beast right now and make it his but he already had plans. Lucien never wanted to have a common beast as his partner, he wanted something more spectacular! Something of a higher bloodline. 

Yes, the flame pup, has a god beast ancestor called the Ceberus but then a fire dragon god beast will always be stronger than it due to the bloodline difference. Gazing at this beast calmly, Lucien couldn't help but consider the possibility of having more than one beast partner.

"Is it possible for me to have more than one magic beast under the soul bind contract?" Lucien asked calmly.

[Affirimative… Once the host acquires higher levels of the contractor path, he will be able to sign more contracts with more magic beasts] 

"That's all I needed to know" Lucien muttered as he shut his eyes while placing his fingertip at the forehead of the flame pup.

[Soul binding contract activated!]

Lucien felt his body trembled as his mind and that of the flame pup's merged and all their secrets were revealed to each other…
