Chapter 29: The power of an emperor (2)

Name:My beast Emperor System Author:Riviz
"Oooh? You know me?" Emperor Fei asked with a hint of surprise in his facial expression as he tried as hard as possible to ignore the insult thrown at his juniors.

"I have seen you in the vision revealed to me by my master…" Blink's playful demeanor changed the moment he was confronted by the beast emperor.

"And who is this master you speak of? Is he a noble in this empire? Or a rival emperor from another empire?" Emperor Fei asked as his aura kept rising slowly, putting more pressure on Blink and Clovis.

"Hmph! Our Masters are true gods from another world! The mightiest amongst their peers and we are their successors!" Clovis said with a hint of disrespect in his voice.

"We were shown the vision of the past, the present, and future of this particular event… This meeting was expected and we were well equipped for it… I suggest you take a step back and leave if you don't want to attract the wrath of our masters" Blink chose to use this as an opportunity to talk things out.

He knew taking on the beast emperor will be difficult and since the vision wasn't too clear, it meant he can't really tell who will emerge from this battle as the victor. Since there are so many unknowns, Blink chose to use diplomacy first.

He decided to use the name of their masters in hopes of scaring these people away but then something unexpected happened.

BOOM!

"You killed a member of my clan and belittled my subordinates and you think I will just let it slide? Your masters are true gods, good for you but then let me tell you this… Right here, in this empire, I am the only god you know… I didn't bring more skilled fighters because it won't be necessary! I am more than enough for you all!" Emperor Fei growled as his orange aura exploded from his body, making the space around him tremble.

Clasping his hands together, he stomped his feet on the ground and muttered a few words before pillars of fire surrounded everyone on the massive stone platform.

"Wow!" Lucien couldn't help but exclaim when he saw the five-meter tall pillars of flame shoot out of the ground and into the black liquid.

Lucien soon noticed the strange thing about these flames! While they were terrifying and huge, they emitted no heat or so he thought. When he turned his attention to the other ten behind the two invaders, he realized they were sweating profusely.

"This is possible with someone who has good control over the creation path of magic… These flame pillars are alive and can differentiate between friends and foes… Don't think too much about it, and stay back a little… Things are about to get ugly" Instructor Han said as he walked forward with the beast emperor.

"Do as he says, kid… If you get too close, I may end up killing you by mistake… Don't worry, I will call you when I need you" Emperor Fei winked at him before walking forward.

"Stay back and you may just live through this event" Blink said in a serious tone before walking towards the beast emperor and Instructor Han.

"Don't worry, this won't take long" Clovis said to the ten before chasing after Blink.

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

Lucien watched in silence as the two sides walked towards each other without saying a word. Lucien couldn't help but feel excited since he strongly believed that to improve, one must watch experts and masters do battle

"Phoenix…"

Upon saying the word, an orange star pattern appeared beneath the feet of the emperor so fast that it looked like he needed no preparation time to cast his spell!

Woooo!

A massive gust of wind swept across the battlefield as massive orange flames erupted from the emperor's body. They watched as the massive wave of orange flames take the shape of a mighty phoenix that is over seven meters tall!

"Go" The emperor said casually as the mighty fiery phoenix flapped its wings creating a powerful wind storm strong enough to throw Lucien off the stone platform and causing him to roll down the stone stairs.

BOOM!

Lucien's vision turned blurry as he felt a warm liquid rolling down his forehead. Luckily for him, Beast-men had strong physical makeup so he didn't break any bone from the fall.

"I guess I am like ten steps behind" Lucien muttered as he counted the stone steps he needed to climb before reaching the stone platform again.

He planned on moving up but then series of powerful explosions rocked the stone platform hard, causing him to rethink his plans. He realized how foolish he was to think he could stand on the same level with the beast emperor and fight against a common foe. He soon realized he is a burden to the emperor and Instructor Han!

He could only sit and watch the explosions smash into the giant golden cross above. At this point, he couldn't help but wonder how the ten weak members of the invaders are doing. He couldn't help but wonder how they plan to survive on such a chaotic battlefield.
