Chapter 16: The Punk face

The next morning, Lucien woke up earlier than usual and felt strange changes all over his body. His hearing had improved, his vision was sharper and his entire perception of the world around him has changed slightly. At first, he assumed he was the only one going through this but when he got to the cafeteria, he realized that practically everyone was talking about this.

After having his meal with Hex and Brian, they proceeded to check the schedule for today's classes. The first week in the Academy was more like an intro for new students who use this time to become familiar with all the available paths before they are shared into different classes. For today the War mage, Contractor, and Guardian classes were on at various time frames making it possible for everyone to attend all of them. This privilege is for those who are yet to decide and choose to check out every class and they are for also those who plan to master more than a single path.

Bidding Brian farewell, Lucien and Hex moved towards the teleportation platform in hopes of getting to the class earlier than anyone. Hex noticed that Lucien was a bit more docile and calm when dealing with Brian, he also couldn't tell why but he chose not to dwell on the matter.

Brrrrrrr!

The teleportation platform let out a weird sound as the duo appeared. They could easily tell that the hall was filled with humans and beast-men based on how tense the atmosphere was. Both races separated into two groups and occasionally murderous glares at each other making it seem like a battle would erupt anytime soon.

Hex and Lucien arrived late so they caught the attention of both sides. While Hex was known as the talented grandson of the emperor, Lucien was known as a student who has been delivering surprises after surprises to the academy. He was a rising star amongst the beast-men and a serious threat to the humans.

Brrrrrrr!

They were about to move but the teleporting platform behind them made activated and two people stepped out of it. They were two humans whom Hex and Lucien were very familiar with. They are the space and time duo who showcased great potentials for the human team during the affinity testing exam.

"Lenard and Susan… it's been a while…" Hex noticed them instantly and shot a smile at them.

"I agree… where have you been hiding?" Lucien's eyes narrowed and his fingers curled up into a fist as he asked the question.

He may be able to manage Brian because he didn't consider the youth a threat and they have known themselves for a while but these two were blessed with amazing elements. While Lenard possessed the time element, Susan was blessed with spatial and Force elements! Two extra rare elements. Lucien saw these siblings as threats that need to be put down before they grow and that's why he didn't bother to hide his hostility towards them. Meanwhile, Hex also shared the same view but for now, he decided to hide his nasty thoughts and put aside his evil intentions.

For now!

"You are in my way… move!" Leonard didn't seem to be in the mood to speak to them so he blurted out the words in his heart.

Susan was more of the shy type so she only hid behind him and observed by looking over his shoulder.

"This… Okay, okay…. I don't mean any trouble…" Hex said while desperately trying to hide his discontent as he slowly took a step back before moving to the side. As much he would have loved to stand in their way and dare them to do their worse, Hex had no intentions of causing trouble in their first official class.

The siblings didn't even bother to glance at Hex as they walked past him. The joy of making the grandson of the emperor bow out in direct confrontation was short-lived as they soon bumped into a bigger wall. One more vicious and cruel than Hex.

"You were rude back there… I can see you humans were not thought manners! Fall on your knees and apologize and I'll let you off with only a few broken ribs" Lucien said as he put on a face that people around him called the punk face.

Hearing his words the class went silent as they analyzed his words and soon realized that Lucien was picking a fight with Lenard. His actions and words indicated that he only wished for violence and even his request was outrageous!

"what did you say?" Lenard asked with squinted eyebrows.

Back then during the affinity test, Lucien shamelessly tried to kill him since he possessed too much potential. Back then he was too scared to act but now things changed! The fear was replaced with anger ready to explode at any moment and this could be considered the ideal moment. Greenish colored aura slowly exploded from his body as it slowly spread access his body.

"I said, On your knees!" Lucien said as his silver aura slowly escaped his body and his eyes let out a silver light.
