Chapter 261: Strength of Demos

The attack from the two elder dragons did not even move Kaido and even till now, he acted as if he wasn't hit at all.

"Since you guys have things under control, I have no reason to wait, I will go ahead... Try not to waste too much time here" Derik said casually as the undead fire elder dragon began flapping its wings, slowly lifting off the ground. Its eyes showed no form of emotion, it felt empty.

"You really have so much confidence in that kid" Kaido said in a questioning tone.

"More or less, I chose him... Everyone here, I chose you all... Do you know why? Because you all are the best at what you do" Derik said while shrugging his shoulders!

Whoosh!

The undead elder dragon quickly flapped its wings and exploded off the ground, shooting towards the ceiling!

Derik had already decided to end this fast!

Bang!

The ceiling shattered and the elder dragon kept flying higher without flinching! As an undead, it felt no pain, no emotions, so it didn't matter how many ceilings it crashed into, even if it got hurt, its wounds will heal!

ROAR!

Seeing Derik leave the other dragons on standby knew he was going for the chambers of the elder dragons! They all shot into the air in hopes of stopping Derik but a slim figure dressed in dark is purple mage robes appeared in their way. In his right hand was a death scythe and on his back were three pairs of black angelic wings!

"You are not elder dragons so I see no reason to waste my inheritance on you all" Demos said as he brandished his death scythe at the enemy ruthlessly, releasing countless waves of darkish purple energy arcs!

The dragons were quick in their movements, regardless of their size, evading numerous attacks successfully while closing the distance between them and Demos!

"Not bad!" Demos said with a slight smile on his face as he levitated even higher while muttering some ancient words!

"Go!" He said calmly as darkish purple clouds could be seen manifesting above him and from it, a massive skeleton slowly emerged!

"Who do you think is the original wielder of the death magic the world fears today?" Demos said coldly as he watched the bone hands descend from above, gripping two dragons closest to Demos by the head and smashing them together!

The other dragons watched in shock as the two headless dragons fell to the ground without offering any resistance! Demos made it look so easy, that many believed this is no different from a bodybuilder strangling two defenseless puppies at once.

They died instantly from the attack!

FIRE DRAGON ROAR!

Seeing how two of their comrades were killed the other dragons dared not go closer! If they couldn't deal with Demos upfront, they might as well kill him from a distance!

ROAR!

Numerous beams of flames shot towards Demos with shocking accuracy!

"Block!" Demos said with a calm look on his face as he watched the massive skeleton hands wrap around him in a bid to block the attack!

Boom!

Numerous beams of flames clashed with the bone hands, leaving mild web-like cracks on it! Seeing this Demos frowned but he did not act quickly. Not only has his vision been blocked by his defense but he couldn't tell what was going through the mind of the enemy. There were over ten to fifteen dragons left out there, making his chances of victory even slimmer but he found all of this exciting!

Did their previous world give them this much thrill or is he this happy because he hasn't fought in a battle for so long?

No!

Thinking back on the past, Demos could clearly remember why he never got this feeling from his previous world! Over there he always played the role of the observer, the Guardian spirit who watched over Derik until he grew to become an even more capable death god! He barely engaged in battles and was never allowed to play an active role in the fate of the world until now!

"So this is what it feels to fight... To put my life on the line for everything I believe in... AMAZING!" Demo's growled as his senses picked up two dragons trying to sneak past him from the sides while the beams of flames keep the massive skeleton distracted!

HOW BOLD!

Demos was instantly encased in a black knight's armor created with his bone magic and with his death scythe placed in front he allowed the skeleton to attack the two dragons while he takes the combined attacks combined!

Boom!

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

Resounding laughter echoed across the castle as the beams of flames were split in two and the dark knight with a scythe as a weapon charged forward!

Who the hell is this guy?

The dragons didnt know what was more shocking! The fact that the two dragons who went ahead to sneak past this man were instantly killed by the massive skeleton or that the man was able to power through their combined attacks?

At this point, these dragons were just a small push away from going crazy because the world has turned upside down. Before they were banished to this place from the central continent, Dragons have always been the leading force and a powerful group. A single dragon could level cities and just an encounter with one is considered a lifelong achievement for all the races.

People feared and worshipped and even when they were sent here, they didn't lose that prideful spirit! They waited in silence for the day they will return to the central continent and prove their strength and worth but now they were getting slaughtered like mere dogs by three unknown humans.

No matter how much they fought! No matter how much effort they put in, these three humans make it like children trying to gang up on an adult!

Did the humans grow stronger or did they get weaker?

What if every human in the central continent is this strong?

Doesn't that mean going back there is no different from suicide?

Has the age of dragons really come to an end?

"Don't beat yourself up... You only lost not because you are weak, but because you met us" Demos easily deduced their thoughts when he saw the confused expression on their faces.

He knew how it feels for beings who once believed they are the most powerful to be suppressed by others outside their kind!

"YOU DAMN HUMAN!" One of the dragons could not take the fact that Demos stood above them and looked down on them while he spoke!

It roared with all its might ad it charged forward, throwing its right hand at Demos!

Pointless!

The severed massive dragon hand could be spinning uncontrollably in mid-air! How someone can effortlessly cut something at least six to seven times his size with ease kept shocking the other dragons, but the injured dragon did not stop! It was lost in its fury and deep down inside it swore not to stop even if it means taking this human down with it!

ROAR!

It let out another furious cry as it threw its left hand at Demos, only to meet the same fate! Right before everyone's eyes, its left hand was cut off even before it could reach Demos! All this happened so fast these dragons barely saw Demos move! All they saw was a darkish purple streak of light and then the limb is gone!

Boom!

The dragon let out a furious cry while its wings flapped viciously sending It flying back a few meters! Everyone would have assumed it was trying to flee if not for its murderous gaze pinned at Demos who still stood there gazing at it indifferently!

'A MERE HUMAN DARE LOOKS DOWN ON DIVINE BEASTS LIKE US! I REFUSE TO ACCEPT DEFEAT!"

FIRE DRAGON ROAR!

It inhaled deeply and with its mouth wide open, Demos could see the bright red flames surfing dangerously within the dragon, gathering together for a final attack!

PA!

Demos had no intentions of waiting for the enemy to make a move. His eyes revealed a strong purple light as his body drifted backward and his aura turned ferocious. This could be considered the first time he is using the power of the dragon body he is residing in!

SHADOW DRAGON ROAR!

Demos cried out as he spat out a beam of darkish purple flames, clashing with the bright orange flames of the enemy! A powerful shockwave occurred, sending many dragons flying back!

The two attacks clashed and slowly the shadow beam overwhelmed the fire beam, surging into the mouth of the fire dragon and destroying it from within.

The fire dragon shivered and suddenly stopped moving. Its body slowly fell to the ground!

"It is a thousand years early of little dogs to challenge a god" Demos said those words calmly but it sent shivers down the spine of all those who heard him.
