Chapter 257: Mood swing from a death god

Name:My beast Emperor System Author:Riviz
"Raise!" Derik's eyes let out a bright red light as his death aura spread violently.

He watched his aura surge into the bodies of all the dead present and slowly their wounds began to heal at an alarming rate! In just a few seconds Derik already acquired a small army of dragons but he wasn't too impressed. In terms of cultivation realm, When grading using beast grades, it can be said that these beasts were at the king tier at most, but it's better than nothing.

Does within the castle watched as the undead dragon bent their heads in submission as the trio walked past them slowly. The small army was defeated and no second force was put in place so the doors of the castle were left wide open for them to walk into.

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

Derik, Demos, and Kaido walked into the castle and left the undead army behind. The goal is to stop any army from another clan from interfering in their business.

"These structures are really huge!" Kaido exclaimed and Derik nodded in agreement.

The dragons are extremely massive so it's only natural they build a bigger home! The large hall they stepped into was no different from a medium-sized kingdom in size. If a normal person were to live here, moving from one room to another or one floor to another might take days if not weeks.

They felt like ants stepping into a home owned by giants!

"Of course it is huge... You shouldn't expect anything less from dragons" Demos said with a stern look on his face.

He was still a bit pale with the stain of blood on the side of his lips. His eyes seemed heavy and it seems that he sustained more damage than expected. Seeing this Derik couldn't help but frown. This two didnt have an immortal body so any injury sustained will be a blow to their fighting power.

"I may have sustained some injuries but it won't affect my fighting power much... You shouldn't get worried over that" Demos said the moment he noticed Derik's gaze.

"Demos is right, by the way, I believe it is better we pay attention to what is happening around us" Kaido said in a strained voice, drawing the attention of the two.

Derik and Demos looked towards the massive stairs and at the top of it were three dragons in human forms gazing down at them. These men all possessed the strength of spirit realm masters and they wore enraged looks on their faces when looking at the three intruders. Full-grown dragons could be seen behind them, glaring at Derik and his team fiercely but none of them dared to make a move unless ordered to.

"Scapegoats" Derik said those words calmly and the entire room fell silent.

It felt like everyone stopped breathing, even Demos and Kaido were stunned by Derik's words since he really had no reason to say it.

"I assume the fire dragon clan has more capable elders but you three volunteered to take us down just to earn some merits... Sadly, you fail to know that you are only a scapegoat, used to test our strength... I have seen this happen so many times and I can't help but ask, are you all stupid? Your chances of beating us are far higher if everyone in this castle comes out and charges towards us as one..." Derik wanted to say more but he couldn't bring himself to say anymore.

He sincerely hated when powerful people die because of pride and culture!

I am the strongest, so I have to go last?

What kind of mentality is that?

In the past, in his original world, where he was the leader of a group known as the palace of the dead, filled with supernatural beings and dark magicians of various kinds, Derik was always the first to step up when they get attacked. Using the method he dealt with many powerful foes and those he couldn't face alone, he relied on the help of his allies.

If all the powerful forces in this castle stepped out and got involved in this fight, they will most likely lose but that won't happen because his enemies choose to act foolishly!

"You know what? If you all wish to die, then you came to the right place!" Derik said as his body levitated off the ground and shot forward!

"He is mine!" One of the elders roared and lunged towards Derik like a wild beast!

Boom!

The entire room shook from the impact and surprisengly none of them retreated!

"Impressive!" the elder whose body was covered in dragon scales said when he saw Derik took almost no damage!

He didn't expect a human to possess such strength without any form of artificial enhancement!

"It is a thousand years too early for someone like you to commend me!" Derek said coldly as the death scythe appeared in his hand and he hacked the man viciously, in an attempt to split him in two!

Wah!

Two dragon wings sprouted out of the elder's back, flapping only once but allowing him to move a bit higher! He could be seen standing on Derik's death scythe while looking down on Derik.

"If this is your strength level, then coming here is no different from suicide!" The man declared body and the dragon behind roared but Derik remained unimpressed.

His eyes were still pinned on the man as if he was deep in thought and after a while, he let out a disappointed sigh.

He hoped for more but it seems he was right, these weaker elders only came here to gain recognition and show off.

Is the danger worth the risk?

How can people be so short-sighted in life?

And more importantly, Why is he too bothered by something like this?

Derik didn't know why this is happening. Maybe it was a mood swing or something but he failed to understand why something like this would bother him this much.

"I guess I am the one who has been losing focus over here..." Derik muttered before looking up to the fire dragon elder and revealing a sinister smile.

"I apologize old man, but I have to kill you now" Derik said coldly.
