Chapter 211: When death comes

Hearing Derik's response, Lucien and the army below were stunned. Even an emperor will tremble when forced to fight such a large army with so many external factors limiting their power. In such a situation only an anomaly can save them and yet, this youth spoke down on them like they are nothing!

How bold and cocky can this man be!

Lucien was going to speak more but seeing the utter confidence in Derik's eyes he couldn't help but remember Emperor Fei! No matter the odds and even when Derik fought against him, Emperor Fei never showed any form of fear or concern. He remained calm and almost indifferent in all situations. He created an invincible image in the hearts of all those who believed in him and even in death he could be considered a badass!

"I have been stupid all this while" Lucien laughed as he slapped his face with a wide grin on his face.

"You finally understand what it means to be strong" Derik said with a slight grin on his face.

"Forget about everything else, no matter how bad it is, don't care, don't show fear just absolutely believe in your strength and spread the confidence to your subordinates... That's quite dumb and overbearing but it makes me feel good" Lucien laughed as he gazed at the magic towers circling them and yawned as well. He is the successor of the only celestial being created by this realm, how could he be afraid of mere mortals?

"Now your head is in the game... Let us begin" Derik laughed as he stretched his hands above his head and the bright green chains wrapped around his hands shot forward!

Numerous beams of mana were fired towards Derik but Lucien came in at that moment! His figure appeared beside Derik and the images of the Raizen and Phoenix god beast appeared around him! clasping both hands together both beast assimilation avatars wrapped their wings around the duo shielding them from the constant attacks. The power of the magic towers was still too high and with their power suppressed some of the beams found their way into the barrier wings and struck the duo.

Thanks to Derik's bone armor, the beams could not breakthrough. Meanwhile, Lucien's dragon scales deflected the other attacks!

"Let me show you the power of death!" Derik said calmly as the chains reached the red magic array above, making the hearts of the creed forces skip a beat in shock! Wondering how a mere mortal realm kid plans to destroy an array even spirit realm cultivators can't.

As soon as the green chains struck the red magic array above everything trembled as it latched on to it. Slowly the green color began spreading from the green chain to the red magic array turning it green. In just a few seconds the entire magic array had turned green and slowly began to crumble, rendering everyone, including Lucien stunned.

"What the hell is this power?" Lucien muttered in shock.

"The power of God" Derik responded immediately!

The ability to rot a person's body using his death magic is already deadly enough it gives many people sleepless nights, including Lucien but now it has got as far as rotting magic at such a large scale!

With the magic array gone they had regained their full strength and even the two god beasts' avatar were twice their original size.

"You take care of the magic towers, I will deal with the army below us!" Derik said and turned into a beam of light, shooting towards the army below.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Derik laughed madly as a darkish green gas began expelling from his body until his figure was completely hidden in the gas.

The army below gazed at the large body of gas shooting towards them and they couldn't help but tremble! A pair of bright green eyes appeared within the gas appeared as it grew in size and might, resembling a massive storm descending from the heavens!

"Defensive formations!" The thousand army commanders growled as they all lost the will to fight such a terrifying beast!

Every member of each thousand-man army unit began chanting and what seemed like a massive purple turtle shell barrier appeared, forming a massive dome atop the huge army!

Boom!

When Derik struck, a powerful shockwave occurred as the barrier trembled and the death aura spread far and wide around the barrier. They could slowly see the barrier thinning out under the relentless attack by the death aura but this only made them more enraged!

One man dared to take them on all alone? Imbecile!

"Rebound!" The creed commanders growled and another set in of incarnations was made, causing the purple barrier to glow brightly!

BOOM!

The massive magic barrier exploded, repelling all the death aura on it and hopefully, this should be enough to badly damage Derik but to their greatest surprise, there was no scream of pain or no sign of Derik.

Where did he go?

That was the question on so many people's minds but looking ahead they realized the Undead army seemed more organized and quiet than usual!

The figure a man in bone knight armor stood and silently reached for the sky, making a bright silver bone spear appear in his hand. His eyes let out a bright green flash as he began sprinting forward for a while before tossing the spear forward!

Whoosh!

The silver spear shot forward but the thousand-man unit aimed at reacted quickly and erected the purple barrier once again but this time something unexpected happened!

Boom!

The spear broke through the barrier, piercing through the body of over ten cultivators before it finally stopped moving and fell to the ground. All then soldiers aged at a visible rate in front of everyone and were reduced to dust!

"This" People muttered and started at Derik in horror.

"If there is ever a god worth serving it is me... Idiots like you all who dare stand in my way will only have themselves to blame when death comes..." Derik said coldly as another bone spear appeared in his hand.
