Chapter 193: A champion realm master!

Cheers and cries of joy filled the air from all sides of the battlefield as the Fotia empire forces slowly gained the upper hand against the invading enemies. The enemy may be strong and filled with top-tier experts but bringing an army of just a thousand mortal realm experts to face off against a two hundred thousand strong army is no different from begging for death. Thinking about this, Lucien had a very bad feeling about everything and couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.

Originally he could easily write this off as an attempt to take him away but he knew the other forces of the Libet and Drakon empire were going through the same thing so he refused to think they will do differently for the Fotia empire. The Creed is not the type of group to let such an opportunity slip past them! They sort the unification of the continent under their rule and because of that, they will always take the opportunity to weaken the empire's defenses until they are strong enough to invade and subdue fast enough to stop the other two empires from stopping them. Considering these things Lucien could tell something didn't add up. He already defeated outer disciples and these outer disciples are in no way capable of dealing with clan heads, so sending them is no different from sending them to their death.

"Something is wrong!" Lucien said as he gazed at the head of Lana and her dismembered body.

Klaus of the Lightborn family and Vlad of the Vladimir family suddenly landed beside him with a triumphant smile on their faces. They must have dealt with enemies around their region, making them extremely happy.

"The enemy forces are retreating... I had the army surround them... none of them are leaving this place alive!" Klaus said with a confident smile but then he saw the dismembered body of Lana and her head looked like it was forcefully torn off her body, making him shiver in disgust. This is a savage way of taking someone out, it's no different from how animals treat their prey after a hunt!

Klaus and Vlad gazed at Lucien's back and couldn't help but shudder in fear! It seems that rumors about him are right he is more beast than human. But what they found more eye-catching was Lucien's current form. They could feel the aura of the dead emperor lingering around him and his phoenix god beast shift mode looked amazing. At this point, they concluded that the battle between Lucien and Lana was not a fight but a one-sided beat down.

Meanwhile, Lucien could feel his injuries heal! The flames of the phoenix god beast have healing qualities even more capable than a lot of healers. Compared to the Azure dragon mode, this form may be weaker but it felt extremely comfortable.

The system brought up the description without even giving him the chance to ask. Lucien felt like the system has become more advance in so many ways that it even reacts to his thoughts. He sincerely wanted more time to look into the system more but then he felt a powerful aura heading his way. Klaus and Vlad turned pale in fear as they took a step back while gazing at the skies. At that moment, they realized the forces of the Creed were not retreating, instead, they were regrouping!

Lucien soon realized that these people didn't come here to win, they were only here to cause a little havoc and time for the main enemy to arrive. The pressure around them was intense and even Lucien found it had to stand straight without trembling! While the emperor was only at the beginner stage of the Champion realm, Lucien could tell that this foe must be at least at the mid-stages of the champion realm! Champion at this level gain what many call an anomaly!

Just the same way a spirit realm master gains a martial technique to help guide his or her cultivation towards a certain direction, Champion realm experts at the second stage of the realm can create an anomaly, which is more like creating a separate space of existence where their power what makes up the world.

It is more like a domain spell but bigger and deadlier! It is said that within an anomaly, the champion realm experts are the sole gods of their domain! And a battle between two champion realm masters is mainly just two powerful beings trying to pull each other into the anomaly!

This is a foe even more terrifying than the weakened death god that killed the emperor! Sensing such a huge presence, Lucien was momentarily stunned. He knew the person approaching is most likely a core member of the creed organization and to the best of his knowledge this person alone should be capable of dealing with the emperor, doesn't that mean the leader of the creed organization is even stronger than this then why haven't they conquered the continent?

Why continue small scales battles are skirmishes when you have the strength to suppress everyone?

He knew that empire defenses are amazing but he doubted if their creed organization decides to put their mind into conquering the empire then it is only a matter of time before it falls!

"You too support... I will lead the attack! Have the men retreat! Everyone returns to the empire while the three of us deal with this problem here and now" Lucien said those words decisively as his body levitated off the ground and floated towards the clouds.

His hands were placed behind him and his blue azure dragon mask has been summoned on his face, giving him a fearless and intimidating aura. Hearing Lucien's words and watching him move towards the incoming energy signature, Klaus and Vlad gazed at each other with stunned expressions on their faces and even though they have never seen eye to eye on multiple occasions, these two were sure of one thing!

Lucien is crazy!

He dared go on to face an opponent far stronger than the emperor and he even chose to risk his lives to save the army below them. Getting the army to retreat was not an issue but taking on the champion realm master is the main issue.

"This reminds me of when we were younger... Little and impulsive" Vlad spoke as he gazed at Lucien's back with thoughtful eyes.

"But that's what took us to the top!" Klaus said with a bitter smile.

"Yea... And as we aged we forgot all that and that may be why we find it hard to make a breakthrough now... We are all used to staying in our comfort zones and none of us even attempts anymore..." Vlad said with all sincerity.

"Yep... who would have thought it would take a kid to make us understand these things... I see why the emperor favored him over the others" Klaus responded before they went their different ways, trying to rally their forces with the help of the commanders.

Meanwhile standing above the entire army, Lucien focused his gaze on the clouds above where the incredible aura was coming from and even now he refused to deactivate the shift mode of the phoenix beast emperor. He couldn't let down his guard against an enemy and as funny as it may sound, Lucien was nervous since he was never seen an anomaly in real life so he doesn't know how to deal with it, but he couldn't bother with that right now. All he has to do now is focus on the enemy right in front of him and deal with this matter to the best of his ability.

Lucien just stood there in silence for over five minutes and watched their forces regain formation and retreat in an orderly fashion while keeping their defensive formation active in case the enemy forces attack. Surprisingly the forces of the Creed organization didn't chase, instead, they just stood and watched but Lucien couldn't bother with this as he noticed the pressure closer than ever!

He looked up only to see a pale man with a bald head and black paintings on his body. Unlike the outer disciples of the creed organization, he wore a golden robe with an eye symbol around his chest. Behind him were two hooded figures in white and golden attire indicating that they are inner disciples of the creed.

Seeing this, Lucien frowned and wondered if he made the wrong choice. He expected the enemy to be just one man but it seemed that the master brought his disciples along, with each of them possessing an aura far stronger than that of an average clan head.

"You sure took your time to get here" Lucien said with a cold voice and thanks to his mask his facial expression was hidden from them.

To them what they saw was a young silver-haired youth, dressed in all blue attire with a dragon blue mask. His aura was like no other they have experienced before! It did not contain the power of one but the power of many!
