Chapter 412 - Connecting

Name:My Way To You Author:Scarlettbunny
A flash of intrigue moved across Ariana's eyes, Kaija made a mistake, she used dark magic. Ariana smiled s Kaija's body started to rupture and the detained robed people behind her yelled for someone to save them. Ariana closed her eyes and took a deep breathe in just as a flash of dark magic engulfed her body.

The explosion was detained within Ariana's arm reach. The robed people gawked as they watched the explosion enter Ariana's body as a steady flow of dark wind. Ariana opened her eyes and let Kaija's robes fall to the ground. She then turned to face her prisoners and smiled. The robed people trembled with fear.

Ariana's eyes had turned completely black as black and purple veins masked her face. "D-D-Demon!" The robed woman yelled as she she tried to push herself back with her feet but the dark bindings on her body kept her from moving too much. Ariana smiled as she turned her gaze directly to the robed woman who talked. "No the monsters are you." Ariana said as she walked up to them.

"S-stay back!" A robed man shouted but Ariana just continued as if she heard nothing. She then stretched out her hand and pulled down the woman's hood. A fair skinned woman with freckles and red hair paled as she looked up at Ariana with her bright orange eyes. "Stay still." Ariana instructed as she placed her hand over the woman's face. "No! Leave her alone!" Another robed man shouted. Ariana ignored his pleas and covered the woman's eyes, leaving her nose and mouth exposed.

Ariana closed her eyes and let out a long breath. A swirl of dark purple, indigo and magenta mist escaped her lips and floated towards the woman. "Fifi don't breathe!" The same robed man shouted. "Quiet fool! Do you want her to kill us instead!" The other robed man hissed. "I don't care! Fifif please hold your breath!" He continued to shout. Fifi pursed her lips and held her breath. Ariana sighed as she removed her hand and looked over Fifi again.

"We could have done this the painless way." Ariana said then she moved too fast for anyone to warn Fifi. Ariana picked Fifi by the collar and punched her right in the gut. Fifi gasped as air was forcefully pushed out. Fifi's eyes rounded as tears started to spill outwards. "You b*tch!" The robed man shouted. "I know." Ariana replied as she let go of Fifi and watched her land on the ground with a heavy thud.

Fifi gasped for air as she tried to roll n to her back. "Now, let's try this again." Ariana said as she covered Fifi's eyes and let out another eerie breath. The strange mist entered Fifi and she immediately stopped gasping. Colour entered her face and she looked completely calmed. "Good, it's working." Ariana said as she closed her eyes. "What are you doing o her!' The robed man asked in a threatening tone.

Ariana opened her eyes and looked at the robed man. "What's your name?" She asked. The robed man was taken aback and said nothing. "Theodore." The other robed man replied. "Not yours, I want Fifi's lover's name." The men went silent and Ariana turned back to Fifi. "I need to concentrate so Fifi doesn't get hurt. Interrupt what I'm doing again and you will have to face the consequences." Ariana warned.

"...."

"...."

"...."

".... Good." Ariana said then she closed her eyes. Ariana let out another deep breath and Fifi willingly accepted the eerie mist. Ariana was then connected to not only Fifi but everyone who had the natural ability to control the dark elemental magic. She could see what ever single person was doing and turned their gazes to their comrades. She watched as robed people raised their hands and used their magic to hurt and attack people.

Galaxy stained tears started to roll down Ariana's cheeks. She could feel everyone's fear and pain but she needed to look further. She pushed her connection further as Fifi started to struggle. "Please, please Fifi. I need to see what they're doing to these people." Ariana whispered. "N-n-no, I don't want too." Fifi said she tried to pull away. Ariana grabbed the back of Fifi's head with her left hand and kept her still.

Her sight was moving across the land and into a large building, down multiple corridors and into a dungeon like room. A single man stood tall as he looked over the prisoners, he hummed and checked off blocks on his clipboard. It was dark, dingy and worse each person was chained and handcuffed to one another. "Yes, this one is perfect." He said as he pointed his pen towards a young boy no more then six years old.

The boy had dark brown hair and the clearest amber coloured eyes. He wore ragged clothes and was filthy from head to toe but his eyes shone with a beautiful colour even under the horribly lighting kthe dungeon, it was hard to ignore. The boy trembled as he shrunk back but it didn't stop the two people who walked up to him. They started to remove him from the train of cuffed people. "Please." He whimpered as giant tears rolled down his dirty cheeks.

The man just looked at the boy and watched as his small cries turned in to wails as he was dragged away. "The rest can go to the purification room." The man then said as he stepped back. Ariana trembled as she watched the remaining people silently be escorted away. Suddenly a woman started to fight against her chains. "Give Oliver back!" She shouted as her chains rattled.

A few men rushed forward and tried to force the woman to move. "No blood this time. I want the bodies handled with care before we have they enter the purification room or else we won't get what we want." The man sighed. "Oliver!" The woman shouted as the men tried to silence her but she fought as hard as she could. The man shook his head then held out his clipboard. A woman stepped beside him and took the board without saying a word.

The man then approached the woman, the men saw him and quickly stepped away. "Give me back my son!" The woman spat hysterically. The man gave the woman a cold smile that reflected back from her dark yellow eyes. "Rejoice, his life will be devoted to the church." He said then in one strong swing he brought up his pen. "Sir?" A man called out.
