Chapter 406 - Ariana's Shadows

The seahorse's body grew twice it's size, he lost his marigold colour and it was replaced with blue, purple, red and orange changing lights. He grew leaf like horns, while his snout grew longer, his tail uncurled and his chest grew broader. Six branch like appendages grew out from his man body. Each branch had large, wavy, leaf like fins that were a translucent blue with purple and teal spots. While his tail grew four leaf like fins that sat on the very tip.

'I changed!' The seahorse said in surprise. Ariana smiled as the other miniature creatures started to surround the new fairy. Ariana started to swim upwards and the creatures noticed. They quickly surrounded her and helped her swim upwards. To the seahorse's surprise he was a lot stronger and was able to create a current that swept everyone up.

In no time Ariana and the creatures broke through the water's surface. "Thank you." Ariana said as she looked at the creature. "Next time I promise to change all of you but right now I need to use my power to take down some very bad people." The creatures all cheered, they couldn't wait to change just like the seahorse.

'Do you need me to join you?' The seahorse asked. "No, just like the others I need you to protect the smaller ones.... When I come back, if you don't have a name...." Ariana started but she heard loud screams causing a chill to run down her body. 'We will wait for you and I promise to protect the others.' The seahorse said then he flicked his tail and a large geyser sent Ariana to land. 'You have your own thing to do.' He shouted happily.

Ariana looked back and nodded her head. She then closed her eyes and smiled. "Hello."

"I'm sorry everyone!" Sheena cried as the robed people surrounded them. She Bruno were separated, he was being pinned down while Sheena was pushed into the crimson roses. "Sheena..." A bean pole like girl said. "It's not your fault we came up when we weren't supposed too." A small, round girl said as tears brimmed her eyes. Sheena was afraid that the others were hurt and hesitated, she should have sent word to the shelter about what happened but she didn't

Just like Ariana predicted, their gang members and some of the rescued people were robed people disguised as them. They tricked some other members to check on the fake Rogue. When they went up they were attacked by the imposters hiding in the shelter and in the group Sheena had just brought. They then freed the man that Bruno had tied up and then taken down into the shelter.

No one was safe anymore they were surrounded by the robed people and being sorted into groups. "Open the exit!" A woman shouted but the members refused to move. "Never!" The real Rogue shouted as she spat at the robed woman. The robed woman wiped her face and then raised her hand to strike Rogue.

"Enough of this nonsense!" A man shouted as he approached the gang members. "Sir Halvar." The robed woman said as she bowed and stepped aside. "You!" Halvar hissed as he glared at Sheena. He quickly approached her and tried to grab her collar but a group of girls stretched out their arms and blocked her from Halvar.

Halvar stopped and laughed. "Do you really think that you can stop me?" He said as he raised his hand. "I can burn you all to dust without much effort." He continued with a demonic smile. "Anu'u," He started to chant. The girls stood their ground as the glared at Halvar. Suddenly a dark hand stretched out from the ground and caught Halvar's wrist.

"What the?!" Halvar shouted and then a blob followed the hand. A very familiar shadow appeared and smiled at Halvar. She brought up her left hand and waved an index finger at him. Halvar's jaw dropped, the shadow giggled and drew back her index finger. She pulled back her right arm and tilted her head to the right. The arm started to morph with giant bubbles and soon changed into a bulging, muscular arm.

"Sir Halvar!" People shouted but before Halvar could recover from his shock the shadow punched him in the solar plexus and sent him flying back. The shadow giggled as smaller shadows appeared from the ground and moved people out of Halvar's collision path. Halvar's body smashed into the stone wall and he instantly was knocked out.

"What the hell is going on?" Rogue asked as she looked at the scene. Everyone was stunned. No one dared to move. Suddenly the smaller dark shadows walked up to the robed people. With an eerie smile they stretched up their bodies and wrapped themselves around their targets. The robed people panicked as the shadows turned into dark bubbles, encasing them in an unbreakable prison.

"Seriously! What the hell is going on?!" Rogue shouted as everyone's jaws dropped. The shadow protecting the gang members turned around and smiled sweetly. "Ariana?" Sheena called out. The shadow waved her right hand happily.

"How?" She asked but the shadow said nothing. Instead she turned and started to walk away while the dark bubbles raised into the air. "Ariana wait!" Sheena called out as she chased after the shadow. The others in the shelter were dumbstruck and couldn't move an inch. "I, I, I'm coming too!" Bruno shouted and he raced after Sheena.

"Well, I still have no f*cking clue what's going on but I want to watch!" Rogue shouted and the gang members were brought back to their senses. "Let's watch!" They all cheered and then gave chase. The people in the shelter felt revived and started to follow the group.

When everyone reached outside they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Dark bubbles were raised into the air as cages and wagons littered everywhere, completely destroyed. "What the hell are you all doing? Go help." Rogue shouted. "Yes!" The girls shouted and they rushed to help the citizens who were just freed.

"I'm going to look for her!" Sheena shouted and then raced off. "Sheena!" Bruno shouted as he ran behind her. Sheena's heart raced. She lost sight of Ariana's shadow the moment the dark bubbles left the shelter and she couldn't help but feel worried. "Ariana!" Sheena shouted as she ran along the streets. "Ariana!" Bruno shouted as he caught up to Sheena.

"Ari-oh there she is!" Bruno then shouted as he spotted Ariana's figure standing in the middle of a sea of floating bubbles. Ariana turned around and looked at the two with a void expression. "Ariana?" Sheena called out. "I don't know what to do with them." Ariana responded.
