Chapter 192 - Family Reunion Part 1

"Sweetie, I had Pascal deliver your draft project to Professor Penon and then he went to go see the Headmaster. He hasn't come back yet... I wish I had some news for you." Mrs. Dabney said sadly as she watched Ariana stop laughing. "You've done more than enough." Ariana replied as she stood up. "I guess I should go back to the door and get cleaned up." Ariana said as her face became shrouded in darkness. "Hun, you don't have to go. Just shower here and take whatever outfit you like from my closet. If your in trouble I will just tell them I kept you here to help me take care of Brie. It can be seen as a sort of punishment." Mrs. Dabey said with a pitiful voice. Ariana knew that she meant well but the heavy feeling she had in her chest was not letting her stay. She wanted to try and see her family, even if she is stopped she wasn't going to give up.

"Thank you but I really want to see my family... Can some of you stay with Roselyn and Brie? I don't want to leave them alone. You can come back when Pascal comes back or stay. I will let you chose." Ariana said as she looked at her Lumas. 'I will stay behind.' Aroha said as she hoped over to Mrs. Dabney's side. "Anyone else?" Ariana asked. 'Davita stay with me and Aroha.' Loralei asked as she jumped onto the bed. Davita gave a bitter look to Aroha then turned to Ariana. 'I'm going with you.' She said as she flew towards Ariana. "Okay." Ariana answered as she caught Davita's face with one hand and pressed it against her cheek affectionately. Vasu rushed over and crashed against Ariana's chest. 'I'm going!' He shouted causing Ariana to giggle. "You sure Vasu? I mean Brie may need you more then me and now she's going to be my goddaughter. I want her safe and sound."

Vasu peeked up from Ariana's chest and pouted. 'I want to stay but I'm worried.' Vasu replied. Ariana picked up Vasu and laid a small kiss on his forehead. "Stay and take care of her. I won't be alone." Ariana answered. Vasu slightly blushed as he slowly pulled away. He then floated towards Mrs. Dabney and Brie. While Rahul and Duko silently walked over to Ariana and sat by her feet. 'Call me if you need me.' Vasu said before he sat on Mr. Dabney's pillow. "I promise to call you." Ariana said with a bittersweet smile. "Roselyn, I will leave you Aroha, Loralei and Vasu. I'll be back later, if I am kicked out of the family day celebration." Ariana said before she turned around and walked out the bedroom door.

'Don't worry Ariana, if those bastards don't let you see your family I will kidnap them and deliver them to you on a silver platter!' Rahul roared with a loud laugh. "Thank you Rahul but I don't even know if they will show up." Ariana said in a melancholy tone. Her voice silenced the Lumas instantly. Ariana walked with a heavy heart towards the female dorms. Not knowing what would lay up a head.

Ariana walked into her room, no one was waiting for inside, she would be lying if she said she wasn't a little bit disappointed and lonely. But she knew that everyone was excited to see their families. It had only been two weeks since they started school and some kids couldn't even see their families on the weekend because of the distance. With a heavy sigh she moved to grab a clean set of clothes and shoes.

She then left the room and headed out into the hall then towards the stairs. As she started to descend the stairs she spotted a very cross teacher waiting for her. "Morning Ms. Hadley." Ariana groaned as she made eye contact. "Where have you been?" Ms. Hadley asked with a serious tone. "With Rose-uhm, with Mrs. Dabney." Ariana answered as she reached the landing of the stairs. "I don't think she would keep you all night." Ms. Hadley snapped.

"I can't handle this right now." Ariana muttered as she started to massage her forehead with one hand. "Excuse me?!" Ms. Hadley gasped. Ariana dropped her hand and gave Ms. Hadley a very cold and uncaring glare. "Ms. Hadley, I'm very sorry but I'm very tired, I'm dirty and I really want to see my family. Unless it's urgent or the Headmaster is calling for me, I'm going to the bathhouse then to the admittance building. If you want to know if I'm lying or not then go talk to Roselyn, she will be happy with the company. So excuse me." Ariana said courtly as she tried to walk off but Ms. Hadley grabbed her shoulder, stopping her from leaving.

"How dare you talk to me in that tone." Ms. Hadley sneered. "Rahul!" Ariana called and a light shot in between the two. Ms. Hadley instantly removed her hand from Ariana's shoulder and shielded her eyes. Rahul in his chibi form stood in front of Ms. Hadley, baring his fangs, fur puffed out and his tail waving in the air. Peppa instinctively appeared in front of her master to block any incoming attacks. "You disappoint me." Ms. Hadley said as she looked at Ariana. "That makes the two of us." Ariana said coolly before she turned and walked away.

'Ariana was that wise?' Davita asked from her home inside the earring. "I don't care. No one is going to stop me from seeing my family." Ariana said as she walked out of the female dorm. She took big and powerful strides towards the bathhouse, unafraid of anyone wanting to stop her. As she made it inside she saw that some families had already settled in. Their was happy chatter and laughter in the air. Ariana gritted her teeth.

Everyone looked so happy and excited to see their family, it felt like salt was being rubbed into her open wound. Ariana rushed towards the change rooms and quickly got undressed. She just planned to take a quick shower and forgo the soak. If she met her mother she would want to come back and bathe with her. At that thought a painful memory surfaced. Ariana was splashing in a giant Jacuzzi tub with two other people. There was laughter and bubbles. Their laughter was so beautiful and clear that it caused Ariana to choke up a bit. She quickly covered her mouth and laid her head against her locker.

She wished she could run away from her past and just focus on the present but the present was just as uncertain. "I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I am meant to be, this is me... I am not scared to be seen, I make no apologies." Ariana whispered to herself. Always falling back to songs from her past to help her regain control. She took a deep breath and peeled her head from the locker.
