Chapter 128 - Vasu Part 2

"Stepbrother." The mother corrected. "Stepbrother, half brother, blood brother, sworn brother or blood related brother. At the end of the day he is my brother and I love him." Aayushi said as she flashed a charming smile. "Jomei, did you hear that? You should respond to your stepsister's confession." The woman said as the maids started to bring out the food. "Yes, Queen Miranda." Jomei answered as he bowed. "I love you as if you were my real sister." He said as he turned to the fair lady. His dark pink eyes were colder then the northern winds and his face completely void of emotions. Aayushi smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. "Thank you brother." She said then quickly turned to her food.

"Jomei... how is Sheena." A deep voice asked and Jomei didn't respond. Instead he walked to his chair and sat in front of an older male. He looked youthful, his skin was slightly tanned, he had a noble face and icy blue eyes. The only thing that gave away his age was his wavy grey hair that was partially slicked back. "Fine... baby should be here soon." He replied as he lazily poked at his breakfast sausage. "Ahh..." The male said as he picked up his cup of coffee. "Darling husband.... why do you care?" Miranda asked as she poked around her meal. "Well we need to replace her or else Jomei will never leave his bed, if we leave him alone." The male said after he sipped his coffee.

"I can wake him!" Aayushi said as she jumped up from her chair. Her face was beaming with hope. "Please daddy Kalmin! Oh... I mean my King." Aayushi shouted happily but quickly composed himself and bowed to her stepfather. "Aayushi! How can you ask something so absurd!" Miranda yelled causing Aayushi to flinch. "Miranda... I haven't given my answer and you are already giving judgment? Are you not overstepping your boundaries?" Kalmin said as he shot her a deadly glare. Miranda paled and dropped her gaze. "No my King. I would never." She replied humbly. "I thought so... Aayushi I will consider it, after I carefully think about it." He said as he brought his gaze back to his stepdaughter.

Aayushi started to sweat and shot Jomei a pitiful look. "Yes... my King." She said before sitting back down. Jomei ate his breakfast without a word while the room became incredible tense. "My King!" Sheena barged in, face completely drenched in sweat and tears. She dropped to her knees and started to bow. "I humbly ask for permission to leave... It seems that my water has broken and the baby will be here soon." She said breathlessly as she winced every other word. "You disgusting wench!" Miranda shouted as she shot up from her chair. "You better have not stained anything in this house with your slutty baby water!" She shrieked at the top of lungs.

"No my queen... huff... huff... I was outside.... huff... tending the garden." She said as she continued to further lose her composure. "You b*tch! You have defiled my babies outside! Leave! Never darken our castle again!" Miranda yelled as she pointed towards the exit. "Mother please! This girl needs a doctor!" Aayushi cried as she looked at Sheena. "Aayushi stay silent!" Miranda yelled as veins popped down her slender neck. "Enough!" Kalmin said as he elegantly rose from his chair. "Sheena leave, I will send someone with your things. Aayushi to my study now." He said and walked out of the room.

Sheena paled, she looked like she was ready to faint. Miranda sat silently as she stared at her plate while Aayushi looked positively horrified. Her body trembled from head to toe while Jomei did what he always did... nothing.

Aayushi took her first stiff steps forward until she reached Sheena. She place a hand on her back. "Sorry." She whispered before she stepped out. "Jomei you may leave now." Miranda said in a hollow voice. Jomei shrugged before he got up. His chestnut hair swayed as he moved. He saw Sheena but refused to even speak to her, instead he walked right out and headed towards his room. "Disgusting." He said as he climbed the stairs.

It had been a year since the incident. Aayushi had gotten her way and was happily waking up the prince every morning. "Jomei... time to wake up." She sang sweetly. "Five more minutes." He groaned but Aayushi giggled. Her sweet, bell like laugh filled his ears and he couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Jomei... if you get up now I will reward you." She said as she jumped on top of his body. Jomei quickly flipped over catching Aayushi and causing her to squeal in delight. "My love, please tell me what will be my reward if I get up now?" He murmured against her ear. Aayushi blushed. "A good morning kiss." She said as she looked at Jomei's handsome face from underneath her eyelashes.

"If you stay in bed with me 10 more minutes I promise to reward you." Jomei growled. "Oh! What will be my reward then?" Aayushi asked as she brought up her tiny, pink lips close to his face. Jomei's switch was turned on and he quickly pounced on his beloved princess.

Jomei started to rub Aayushi's slightly swollen abdomen with an affectionate hand. "Why don't we tell them about us?" Jomei asked as he placed a loving kiss on Aayushi bare abdomen. "We can't. I told you. It can never work out." Aayushi said in cold tone that Jomei was only used to when it came talks about their relationship. Aayushi had persistently pursued Jomei until he caved in. The moment he did, Jomei's world completely opened. Never in his life would he have ever thought that he would laugh, talk or enjoy life like he was when he was with Aayushi. "I don't understand. I love you, I want to marry you, I want to be a father to our child and I want our family to grow."

"My mother will rather kill me then let that happen." Aayushi said as she sat up and swung her legs over the bed. "I don't think your mother would. She talks rough but it seems it's all an act." Jomei said as he sat up behind Aayushi and started to leave a trail of kisses on her shoulder. "Why be so afraid of her?" Aayushi got off the bed and started to grab her clothes. "You don't know how cruel that woman is!"

"Then tell me! Talk to me! Every time I bring this up you get so upset and I usually leave it alone but you have a month to go before you start to show! My G*d Aayushi what then?! I am only thinking of your best interest!" Jomei shouted. Aayushi looked at him with tears already rolling down her cheeks. "She killed Sheena!" She cried.
