Chapter 105 - Hidden Treasure Part 2

Ariana left the stall and moved towards the mirror. She had mixed feeling about having her ears pierced in the washroom. "Fuzz Fuzz." Ariana said as she gingerly touched her ears. "Walter." He said as he started to crawl down her clothes. "Oh... Walter. Why is Ms. Hadley going through the trouble of doing this?" Walter ignored Ariana and crawled onto the counter. "You need to leave now." Walter said as he moved towards the drain. "Walter, thank you for you help." Ariana said as she watched Walter flinch at her thanks. His happy, wide mouth, face was back and he smiled at Ariana. He then turned and went down the drain. "Okay Vasu, time to go."

Ariana stepped out of the washroom and collided into a girl. "I'm so sorry!" She shouted as she tried to help the girl up. "You should be!" The girl spat and Ariana finally had a good look at the girl in front of her. "Callista, do you need a hand up?' She said coolly as she stretched her hand out. Callista smacked it away. "Whatever." She muttered as she picked herself up and walked into the washroom. "You'll get yours sooner or later." She continued to mumble as she the door swung open. Ariana sighed and started to walk towards the seating area.

The room had some first years already sitting and felt some relief when she saw some third years waiting for their first years. Ariana sat down beside a girl with giant, thick glasses. "Hello." She said but the girl snuffed her. A few more minutes went by and a few more first and third years came in. A familiar looking male student sat beside her with a giant grin. "Well hello there!" He said as his canine's sparkled. "Hi... I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name the last time." She said shamelessly that the girl with the thick glasses choked on air.

"Well you remembered my face that's still good. Honestly speaking I don't remember your name either." The male student said as his neon pink eyes sparkled with mischief. "Of course you wouldn't know it! We never formally introduced ourselves but shouldn't you be with the other third years?" She said playfully but the male student snorted some air. "I don't like following rules." He said as he wiggled his eyebrows in a playful manner. Ariana started to laugh while the girl beside her started to mumble to herself. "Look I came because a friend asked me to watch over you." The male said as he put on a serious face.

"Oh a knight for me... I don't like that. Can't we be friends instead?" She said as she batted her eyelashes. "Ohhh! You're a riot! You don't even know who I am and you want to befriend me? I don't think so babe, boys and girls can't be friends... I rather run solo." He said as he crossed his leg over his other leg, he stretched out his arms and grinned. "I don't think so. If you did you wouldn't hang out with my friend. He is rather picky who is hangs out with." Ariana said as she eyed the male. "Your not just a pretty face! Fine then! Lobo Wainright." He said as he stretched out his hand. "Ariana Drake" She replied as she grabbed his hand and gave it a firm shake.

"So I will never forget." Lobo said as he pulled her hand to his face and started to sniff. "Need my scent?" She said with a light laugh. "Nope just wanted to see how you'd react." He said as his eyes flashed with something menacing but Ariana didn't flinch. "Good to know, now you stay still." She said as she took her hand back and brushed back his grey, white and silver hair. "Soft." She said with a wink. Lobo instantly blushed and toppled from his seat. "You can't do that!" He shouted as he retreated. "Bye Lobo, see you later." Ariana laughed. Lobo stood up and stomped over to the third years. He stopped beside Icarus and Xander. "You watch her! She's crazy!" He shouted as he pointed towards her direction. Arina stuck out her pink tongue towards the boys.

Xander, Icarus and Lobo became dumbfounded while the other boys slightly started to blush. "Flirt." The girl with the thick glasses said in a loud whisper and Ariana turned back. "Nope just mean." She said as she winked at the girl. The thick glasses girl turned and started t muttering to herself again. "If I don't act this way..." She started to say to herself but stopped when she sensed someone staring. She brought up her gaze and saw Flint watching her. She knew she her blood was starting to run even colder but she put on a gentle smile and entered into a staring war with Flint.

"Good afternoon everyone." The Headmaster said as he stepped up to the podium. "Let us start the Summoning Ceremony again. Once you have your familiar please leave with your mentor. Now 125 20A."

The students started to dwindle down and Ariana started to twist the fabric on her dress. "125 03A." Ariana looked around and saw that there was virtually no one left, just her, the glasses girl and a young boy with light chestnut hair were left. "125 02A" The young boy was called up. Ariana's heart raced uncontrollably. "125 01A." The glasses girl next to her stood up, she puffed out her chest and walked towards the stage. Ariana couldn't help but feel completely isolated, she started to take shallow breathes as her heart practically jumped out of her chest. "125 01AA." The Headmaster said. Ariana stood up and walked onto the stage. She looked out and could feel her heart stop. Vera was no where to be found. Sweat rolled down from her temples. She looked behind her and felt a wave of relief when she saw Mrs. Dabney.

"Go on Ariana." The Headmaster urged her as a deadly flash crossed her eyes. Ariana took the dagger from Mateo. She sliced her finger and held her breath, nothing happened her blood was completely normal. She looked at Callista and started to read the incantation. "An ahi soir. An wai ó dheas. She shouted as she bent over to pick up the scroll. "Fool! She needs to continue the incantation now!" The Headmaster shouted. Ariana felt hot, something was wrong. The magic circle beneath her feet started to crack. "I know sir, please just one second!" Callista cried as she dropped to her knees and started to brus back tears. "Just don't yell at me!"
