Chapter 97 - Fighting Among Siblings Part 4

He wiggled through the bars and took long strides towards Cayden. "What are you planning to do?" Cayden asked as he tried to press himself more against the wall. "I stopped writing on the day of my birthday." She started to say and Cayden froze in place. He looked at Ariana, forgetting that Vasu was trying to get close to him. "I found out it's New Year's day." She laughed pitifully at herself while Vasu jumped onto Cayden. Vasu started to glow pink and Cayden's body started to slowly heal.

"See something funny happened to my body and some people left me because of it. I didn't mean to scare anyone but a monster is a monster and well I almost lost my life... Next thing I know I wake up from a chrysalis and two years had already gone by. Funny isn't it?! I mean two years wow... so as for the scar on my back well it was from training. It turns out I almost lost my life again and the Lumas helped me out. Could you imagine if another chrysalis trapped me again. Who knows when I would have woken up. She they drained themselves to keep me alive." She brought her gave back up and locked eyes with Cayden. Vasu finished healing Cayden, he turned back into light and promptly returned to his master's ear.

"So now you know... Cayden why did you do it?" She said as she held his gaze. Cayden opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water. "Fine let me guess..." She said as her heart drummed against her chest and her hands became drenched in sweat. "Vasu told you." She said and Cayden became furious. "What else was I supposed to do!" He shouted as he picked himself up and started taking strides towards her.

"He did that to you! How can that be forgivable! Ariana he touched you! He kissed you and I am supposed to look away!" He spat but Ariana gave him a mocking smile as her body started to shake. "So what? According to the Headmaster he will be my future husband so he should be allowed to."

"No, he can't be! I won't allow it!" Cayden shouted but Ariana sighed. "You have no right to say anything when we are nothing to each other." She said and pushed away from the bars. Cayden swiftly snatched up her arm and held her in place. "No we are not." He growled. Ariana tried to break free from his hold but he pulled her close. "Cayden, I am doing what you asked! We said we can't be together and said that you will find me a husband! Guess what one was practically given to me on a silver platter!" Ariana shouted but Cayden wouldn't let go.

"F*ck everything!" He shouted and grabbed the front of Ariana's dress, keeping her from running away. He let go of her arm and grabbed her waist instead, pressing her body against the bars. He eagerly sealed her lips with his own through the bars. "Cayden!" Ariana shouted as she pulled away but Cayden brought her back for another kiss.

"Why?" She murmured when he finally let go of her lips. "Everything has changed." He said as he tried to calm his breathing down. "Cayden?" She asked but he moved his gaze to Edlyn. "Don't let her be alone with Flint. That bastard is looking to finish what he started and I will not let that happen." Edlyn nodded her head in agreement she then looked at Ariana hoping she would get the full story but Ariana dropped her gaze. "Good, now go back you need to get changed and ready for homeroom." He said as he reluctantly let Ariana go. "I will come find you later... we have a lot to talk about."

"Talk? Why and what do you mean things changed?! Cayden you can't be so criptic." Ariana complained but Edlyn grabbed her hand and looked at Cayden sensing something wrong. "I will keep her safe." She said with fire burning in her eyes. "Good... stay safe." He said as he looked at Ariana. "Now go." He shouted and Edlyn dragged Ariana away. "Why would he do that?" Ariana asked as Edlyn continued to drag her along. "Easy, he loves you." Edlyn replied matter-of-factly. "No your wrong, he wants me to be with someone else." She replied honestly.

"Are you so sure?" Edlyn asked. Ariana's heart ached, she hoped that he would stop pushing her away but she decided to think about what she saw and shook her head. "No, that can't be it. He told me he has to do it right with his fiancee." Ariana said as they made it through the first door. "Sure believe in what he says and not how he acts but I will tell you what I see. He is crazy over you." Edlyn said as she gave her an all knowing smile. "If only...." Ariana replied. "If only."

Edlyn and Ariana walked into their room, both were pale and out of breath. Edlyn couldn't stop herself from thinking the worst with the bits of information she heard from Cayden and Ariana conversation. They both rushed back to their room and even then it wasn't fast enough, the silence between them was unbearable but what was most terrifying were the words sitting at the tips of their tongues. Begging to come out, begging to spill out for anyone to listen, begging to be heard.

Edlyn swore to herself that she would protect Ariana and would never give Flint any opportunity to try and be alone with her. "Your back!" Halina shouted as she got up from the bed. Talisha was at the only wall mirror brushing her hair. Watching them walking in through the reflection.

"Ya.... we're back." Ariana responded unenthusiastically. Talisha and Halina looked at each other then at Edlyn. While Edlyn just shook her head no. Ariana looked around the floor then brought up her gaze. "Where is my luggage?" She said pitifully. Edlyn bit her bottom lip to stop herself from bombarding her with questions while Halina escorted Ariana towards her bed. "Look, the cubby has a hidden closet for clothes. We thought we could put your things away last night… sorry, you know, we all needed a bit of a distraction."
