(Jane's PoV)

"Sixth Master, I believe you had finished your homework of learning the history of your previous Masters splendidly, but did you know why the demons had not attacked us for decades even when the borderlines weakened to such state?" Third Master eyed the man with solemn expression but a look of disdain was clear in his eyes.

The Sixth Master twitched his eyes in annoyance. Seeing his action to keep mum with gritted teeth, I knew that he must have known the reason why.

"Seeing your response, you must have known the answer. Then, don't speculate things again. We can't sacrifice people's life just because of one tiny ignorant thought. We are the Masters of Mystical Armies. Even if in other times we will have a competition between us, but in time like this, we need to unify our forces." The old man spoke slowly but the reprimanded tone in his voice was so clear that I thought I heard a slap being delivered towards the Sixth Master's face.

It's rude to laugh, it's rude to laugh. I repeated those sentences in my head to remind myself not to laugh out loud for the Sixth Master's ignorance.

"You're laughing. Do you know the answer to his question?" Siji whispered in my ear.

Honestly, it was still unclear for me. I only knew that it was related to First Master of White Army, but I had no clue about the exact things happened at that time. I had asked Siji when I learned about it, but he just said that he had no idea about what had happened at that time.

I believed he must have been hiding something about it.

Something as heroic as what the First Master had done must have been written in a thick book like a great novel based on true story. But, the information about her was only one page length.

It was suspicious, but I didn't know where to find the right information about it.

"At least I know not to make myself sound like a fool in times like this." I whispered back to him.

Siji didn't respond, but I knew he definitely liked my answer. My focus turned back to the old men arguing about how they should divide the force in protecting human realm. Each of these masters had their own territory to protect and since this matter would occur globally, I could imagine how much of a trouble it would be to protect everything in one go.

Not to mention there was no exact information about which part of the human realm would weaken first.

I watched the discussion quietly. Since no one asked about my opinion, I didn't bother to say anything. After all, with majority of the masters being older than me, no, ALL of them were older than me, they must have thought that I was too green to involve in this matter.

It was fine by me, though.

After all, this discussion was no different than foolish students arguing about foolish and baseless things. I mean, they didn't even know where the next attack would happen, but here they were debating about who to protect where. There were loopholes in their arrangements, too.

I wonder what was inside their mind.

"Siji, is there anyway to find out which part will weaken first?" I whispered.

Siji pondered a bit then he shook his head. His mouth opened, but then he closed it again. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he chose not to do it.

My left eyebrow arched in suspicion as I nudged him lightly with my elbow. Whatever he wanted to say, it should be related to this topic. Why would he choose to not saying anything?

"Just say it. If it's too absurd, I'll treat it as a joke. I have nothing to do anyway." I convinced him.

"Well, I've heard something before, about Death Volcano and its Guardian. I would think it was a myth, but some Elders said that our First Master knew him; the Guardian of Death Volcano. I think they once said that First Master cooperated with that Guardian to detect any problems with the borderlines in the world." Siji said slowly with a serious expression on his face.

"However, I personally haven't met with this so called Guardian and never seen or heard about Death Volcano. No one knows about its location. It's an insider information since only us, White Army, know about this info. So, it's useless even if we ask other Masters." He added.

Guardian of Death Volcano? I had read about it in the books from the Elders, but the information provided in the book was too limited and unclear. Other than saying that Death Volcano was the mother of all mountains in the world, the one that connected all mountains in human realm and astral world, there was no other information about it. Other than the First Master, no one had ever seen this Death Volcano, let alone the Guardian.

Even so, I thought that it wasn't unfamiliar in my mind. Something in my mind told me that I had met with this Death Volcano, but I couldn't recall anything.

It was strange.

Since it was something that I wasn't sure myself, I decided to push it to the back of my mind. After all, other than those from White Army, these Masters were of no help for me regarding the identity of Guardian of Death Volcano and the location of the said volcano.

It was that time when I switched back my attention to the heated argument in front of me that my ears caught someone mentioned my name.

"Master of First Army is being too quiet. Is the topic too hard to follow?" The voice was filled with mockery and teasing that I was sure it happened because of my young self being looked down.

It was Rassya. He didn't disdain me, but surely after getting used to his new power, his pride as a man still refused the fact that I nearly trashed him days ago. He mocked me, teased me indirectly for being too young to understand the topic, yet deep inside his eyes hid his fear towards me.

He feared me, but he was brave enough to taunt me into action.

Hmph. I snorted as I leaned back to the back of my chair with my hands crossed in front of my chest. My eyes met his and smirk came on my face as I noticed the shock in his eyes.

He still put up a front, but he couldn't hide the fear he had towards me. Poor guy.

Thanks to him, all eyes were on me. They looked at me as if I was just leeching on their superior status as one of the formidable Masters in the world. Disdain and refusal were clear in their eyes now.

I didn't want to do this, but I thought I should. Taking a deep breath, I leaned forward towards the table and put on a more serious expression on my face. "You guys know the best that it is impossible to protect all parts of human realm with our armies. But, instead of finding a way to detect it, you guys argued about who should protect where. I'm sorry, I couldn't follow that kind of discussion."

They frowned, obviously dissatisfied with the way I was thinking and my frontal refusal to their plan.

"What can a green young girl like you do? You're still too young to understand after all. You can go back home and enjoy your life, you know?" A man shouted at me disrespectfully.
