Chapter 168 - Side Story: She Is His Fiancee, But She Has A Boyfriend (1)

His name was Sanjaya Adiguna, a young man who was capable of exorcism as well as seducing women. He was around 15 years old when he experienced his first love. Unfortunately, the one he loved was a four year-old girl. The lonely boy who had no friends because people would say that he was crazy fell in love with the warm and cheerful smile of four year old Jane. His father and Jane's father were friends and they had a chance to visit Jane's family at that time for a week. And he fell in love just on the very first day he stepped in the house.

During their visit, Sanji, that's what some people called him, got close to the little girl and amazingly, the girl got attached to him. Every morning for the next six days, that little girl would cheerfully wake him up at 5.30 and urge him to get up and drank milk with her. No matter how sleepy he was, he would always wake up at the sound of her cheerful voice calling his name.

"Brother Anji, Brother Anji, wake up! Wake up! Let's drink milk! Mom is making pancakes this morning, too! Come on, wake up!"

When the sun was rising up, she would bring him outside to enjoy the morning sun. He would accompany her, too. Her parents sometimes scolded her for bothering him so much, but he smilingly said to them that it was fine, that he liked it.

He had never known he would have that gentle look on his face. A 15 year-old boy already had the feeling to indulge that little girl in gentleness, pamper her, and spoil her every little wish.

It was probably because of that his father had the courage to propose a betrothal to Jane's father. However, Sanji's father forgot to put the word 'serious' in his proposal. It went as a small talk between friends, which resulted Jane's father had never mentioned about it to her at all.

At the age of 15 years old, young Sanji didn't really understand the concept of betrothal, but he was smart. With a bit explanation from his father, he knew that Jane was supposed to be his future wife. He got to live with the girl like his father and mother and he was excited as he was thinking about that.

However, his father said not to expect more, since Jane was still a kid, it was more likely that she would forget about him. If they were destined to be together, then fate would find a way for them to be together. After saying that, his father told them that they had to move out.

Therefore, he got separated with his little sweetheart for years. He became skeptical that she would still remember him and so he tried to date another girl. No luck, though. Thirteen years later, he met her again.

He had heard about her applying for the same university he was teaching at from his father. However, due to his tight schedule outside the campus, he couldn't meet her. But, just like what his father said, if they were destined to be together, fate would find a way to bring them together.

That day, when he was feeling a bit upset because a ghost dared to haunt him, he met her again. At first glance, he didn't know whether the girl he had just saved was Jane. However, he couldn't help but to check her out again because of her fair skin, hair being tied up in a bun with some wavy strands framing her face, and that familiarity he got from staring at her.

When he heard her name, he practically had to exert every ounce of his power to stop himself from hugging her in a bear hug. He tried to act calm and mature, and only said some things to her about their past together. But, it seemed like she didn't know that they were engaged.

Well, it was a verbal engagement, not the official one, but still...

Only after he managed to calm him down that he could size her carefully.

Other than her fair skin and slightly reddish-colored hair which was tied in a bun, Sanji finally understood the familiarity he felt just now. She still had those round and cute eyes, only minus the innocence. Her figure matured well with her age and she turned from a lovely and bubbling little girl, to a sweet and calm young girl.

Thump! He could feel his heart beat faster than usual. He almost couldn't hide his disappointment when he knew she didn't know about their childhood engagement. However, he tried to be so understanding by looking at different excuses he found in his brain.

Maybe her father forgot to tell her about it!

Wel, it has been too long since the last time they met, so it was only normal for her to forget about him!

As the older one, he needed to be magnanimous and let her be. It was his fault for leaving at that time, though.

After their meeting, he had just found out that his fiancee was well-known among the students because she was dumped by Rizal Ali. Rizal even got married without her knowing about it. Did Sanji know Rizal? Of course. Even though he didn't teach Rizal, but he knew that young man.

Stupid, he thought. But, he still felt relieved, after that. After all, he didn't have to do anything to get rid of his competitor. Of course, he still didn't know about the young man ghost in his fiancee's dormitory.

Sanji would stay in campus longer than he usually did in the past. He even made sure he would walk towards where civil engineering students hung out together. It was just he rarely met Jane that way.

But, he would not give up. Even though the circ.u.mstances where he met Jane were not what he thought would be, he got to know more about her. Just like him, she was able to see ghost, even capable of doing exorcism. Well, her method was not the usual one where exorcist would chant mantra and everything, but she still performed exorcism nonetheless.

She fought against those ghosts using the most difficult methods; using her own soul and spirit to fight them. It was almost the same with how ghost was fighting against another ghost. If it were in human dimension, it was as if fighting criminals with raw power. If talking didn't work, just use fist.

As someone who had been in exorcism world since young, naturally Jane's talent didn't escape his eyes. He got more curious about her as days passed and the desire to really possess her got even stronger. However, he did notice something was off with Jane.

Until one day, he finally knew what was wrong. Jane was seduced by a male ghost in her dorm room. As much as Sanji didn't want to admit it, Jane had even treated the ghost like her own boyfriend. Sanji wanted to have an eye to eye conversation with her about that ghost whose name was Tom, but he just couldn't find the right timing about it.

There were some things happened to her afterwards that even he, as an exorcist, was feeling overwhelmed. Sanji didn't know what happened but after Jane went missing, she became a lot colder and more mature. She looked like she needed to sleep for three days straight, but her sensitivity towards ghost had increased that even a slight disturbance from a ghost could wake her up.

However, Sanji couldn't see Tom after that day. Jane only said that Tom was gone, but his instinct told him that there was something more about that.

Well, whatever it was, it could only mean one thing; Jane was all for himself now.

After the news about Jane's father went missing, Sanji promised to himself and herself that he would help her. He would be with her during her hard times. He thought, maybe she would open up to him and forget that boy ghost.

He tried to act gentlemanly to his best, tried to make her feel comfortable and everything, but it seemed like he was close to failure. Instead of viewing him as a possible life partner, Jane was treating like he was her brother. Maybe it was because he was always gentle to her, afraid of showing his true nature to her.

She might view him as a harmless man, the one who would never attack her s.e.x.u.a.lly, but little did she know... he dreamed of her almost every night, staining his shorts with his love juice every morning.

It was not as if he could control his dream, but still, seeing a naughty Jane in her dream at night and the innocent Jane in the morning really tested his strength. Jane didn't know how much he wanted to slam her to the wall and take her right after he stepped into the house, or bend her over the couch and drive himself into her.

She didn't know.

After all, he was a man with needs. But, he had been suppressing his needs in order to make her open up to him as soon as possible.

Didn't they say women loved gentlemen? Then, he would be a gentleman for her.

However, his feeling leaked out when Jane visited him that day.
