Well, now that she's taken the time to explain to me all this tedious thinking, I guess I kind of understand why and what for I should be willing to go on and accept her offer.

But in any case, this is flawed to me. Because I'm not just that stereotype of some high-level sentient monster she's talking about.

So, yes, her offer is flawed, to say the least.

Many flaws to her speech; but one big flaw above all others. Should I interrupt her right now and tell her that I wanna another kind of money, like fun for example?

I'll just wait until she finishes and keep that in mind for now.

And among other things, that's what she needed the monster for. That's what she wanted me for.

That was one point altogether.

And now, she is justifying herself about some different things maybe I should know.

Sure, the humans kill monsters and demi-humans. She suddenly went from friendly to formal in her explanation. That's a fact, sure. They do kill them and are in grandly open conflict with them.

Not especially monsters nor demi-humans. But that was how it is as a general rule.

That's no secret at all, but she just wants to specify it.

And by specifying it, I mean talk about it.

If she has the audacity to propose to me such a deal (she called it a deal all the long) it's because she knows too well I wasn't on anyone's side just yet.

This petty conflict (she expressively used the word 'petty' when it was so murderous and deadly on both sides, disregarding it as nothing) roaming in between the humans, the noble side, and the demi-humans was simply because of the natural order of things.

What a funny person! And I won't qualify her as vile or whatever meaningless stuff I should make up. That's just how the world works.

Still though, did she just qualify that as a 'petty' thing? Did she really just say that? I'm sure there's more depth to that, but still.

No 'real' justification whatsoever. And that's why this whole playground thing (only playground to me) about war is taking place, huh.

I get it, though.

Playing is fun.

And fun things are happy~

Well, moving further into her reasoning and explanation: were my feelings hurting because of that?

She was beating around the bush when phrasing all of her long, fancy, and royalty-like sentences–but again, basically, did that hurt my feelings?

And even though she didn't put it in a direct way, it was a direct question.

She was asking me.

"No," I shook my expressionless head.

I wasn't harboring any grudges concerning her ways. So, according to her, then, for one like me, her proposition was cool.

She began again, "What we respect above all else is strength, monster.

"To my knowledge, you want and may deserve this.

"My offer is simple: being acquainted with all the aforementioned conditions, work under me, and under me alone."

"Hmm…"

"So, what do you say?"

What do I say, huh? I have a lot to say … but first:

Ring!

❮You have heard the princess of Rinceville's speech: accept her offer and get to directly dive into the conflict between Ladafar and Rinceville.❯

And of course, the guide doesn't leave me any choice, simply putting it that way, huh.

That Ladafar village is mentioned again, too.

And the whole point towards which Guide seems to be pointing at appears again. The conflict between Ladafar and Rinceville.

Well, well, well.

Why don't you simply all go on with the flow, just like you so well usually do?

After having been exposed to all this, it was also very simple to me: too much info, too much intel, too much sleepy, too much everything.

And too much is a poison, right? Too much of anything, literally. You take anything, you pour too much of it into its very self, and you got poison. It's as simple as that.

So, I simply summon a pause.

I need a pause; therefore, I summon it.

Pause time. Time pauses. And I pause too, along with time.

–Life should always be in pause mode.

And while we're at it, the oh-so-popular go-on-with-the-flow mode also has been activated.

Diving into the bursting problem's core: up till now, I always only followed the guide's instructions. Does that mean I'll have to always do that, though?

Because right now, I mean, it's beyond myself, I think.

I can't bring myself to accept that, probably, Guide. I simply can't. Probably.

(Because what else can I be doing?)

Ahem, so what do I got to do?

–When she blatantly let her head tilt to the side, "So, so–have you made up your mind yet?"

The way she talked to me really had time to grow much more casual with time. It hadn't even been much time, though.

And of course, I thought to myself, ain't such a thing as a magical pause mode or something for real, duh.

As always, with my overthinking nature (Old said I overthought everything too much and lack decisiveness), I wanted time to think and brood over that.

"This isn't a trick question," she said; and see the documents she'd priorly discarded to the side, well, she took them back, spreading them on the bit of the board before her. "You can take your time to consider my proposition."

But thinking back on it, now; even without time pausing for me, did I even need to make up my mind?–it was pretty clear to me.

"Do take your time, th–"

"Think I'm afraid of you…?"

"Oh, pardon me? What did you say?"

"Think–think I'm afraid of you??"

"Ha–I … ahem…"

She didn't understand–and I understood she didn't.

Sighing and frowning a bit, she deserved an explanation, didn't she?

It was sad to me. With full-rounded, gleamy eyes, and sad lips, I began to talk:

"Y'know ma'am, I only came here in order to … can I call you big sis'? … I only came here to trade my head, big sis',"

Giving a quick start of her head, I didn't let herself put in a word as I continued, "–uhh, orc's head, I mean. I wouldn't wanna lose my own head, right, hehe–but ahem, let me explain to you:
